Last week we went shopping for furniture at the San Mateo store location and had the pleasure of working with Meiling Zhong. Meiling was very patient answering lots of our questions and quite knowledgeable of their vast furniture options. She even moved furniture closer together to see if they complimented each other. We spent almost 2 hours in the store and bought over 12 pieces of furniture. The quality of the furniture and the excellent customer/ sales service by Meiling prompted us to give this review.

Plenty of selections that fit every budget. The salespeople are not pushy. In fact, they are really nice and helpful. Their professional manners make our furniture shopping experience comfortable. We're satisfied with our purchases.

Shout out to Pawel, the most fantastic salesperson, he was there when we purchased our sofa and the delivery crews couldn't make it upstairs. He for-saw our problem, and backed us up by providing alternatives. The end result was beyond satisfaction. We love our substitute couch.

Now we're back and looking for dining chairs!

Lorenzo Jones, the store manager is the bestest ever! He always goes above, and beyond to help us with any questions we have, he knows all the inventory information plus shipping information off the top of his head, and he would also help carry stuff to our car. He’s like the ScandinaviaWikipedia.

Shopping at Scandinavian Designs is always a great experience. We have purchased so many pieces for our home over the years; a dining table with chairs, a leather accent chair, and some beautiful glass and wood end tables to name a few. They have all withstood the test of time and we appreciate the quality workmanship. The staff in store are always helpful and supportive. We got the chair and tables quite fast, especially considering the slow down in shipping due to the pandemic.

We had an extremely positive experience purchasing a sofa and two chairs at the San Mateo Scandinavian Designs.

We'd been waiting for several weeks for the Deni Sofa to hit the showroom floor, and as soon ad it had, we were there and testing it out. We purchased two Undra Lounge Chairs to go along with the sofa, and the entire transaction was pleasant and trouble-free. The selection is great, as are the prices, and the staff were very helpful, going as far as moving different coffee tables around so we could see if they worked with our new sofa.

Delivery was very smooth, and each piece was in perfect condition. Many thanks to the team who assisted us.

Better quality than large chains at a cheaper price (and a good range of price points). Really enjoy looking around the showroom, lots of inspiration. Loading dock guys are quite helpful, though there is often a line

I have purchased a motorized, reclining couch as well as a stool/ottoman and artwork from the San Mateo location. The manager, Lorenzo, could not have been more accommodating. We appreciate having such a lovely showroom and service in our area.

I had a great experience shopping here, The gentleman that helped me with my purchase, Arthur was very knowledgeable on everything they had in the showroom, and he was very patient with me while I took time to decide since a couch is something you'll be stuck with for a while. He asked for all my needs of what type of furniture I was looking for and showed me so many great options that fit my criteria. I will be returning back for future purchases and I am VERY happy with the couch he helped me find along with the throw pillows and coffee table I purchased that day. Arthur THE guy. Not pushy at all and after all the info I wanted was given he left to give us time to explore the store and even later returned to check up on us to see if we had any further questions. A+ salesmen. 10/10

It was so simple to purchase our kitchen chairs. They had what we wanted at a good price. Robert made our purchase enjoyable. Why can't every shop make it this enjoyable?

Sales and manager are super friendly and helpful! Even I have canceled order or return, they are still very patient to help me through until I finally get my satisfied furnitures! Of course, they provide high quality products and compatible price! Highly recommend!

I am a designer/contractor/decorator. I own DRACO Design/Construction. I have used Scandinavian Designs for many years as a source for furnishings for my client's homes. I have also partnered with them on three of my homes which were on open to the public Home Tours. On the Highlands Tour homes SD provided a design team and both sets of homeowners purchased many of the furnishings to keep. I have always been impressed by the variety and stock in the stores, and by the pricing. Which I find to be very reasonable. I have recently purchased pieces for another Eichler project and even with the Supply Chain issues we received the pieces in good time. I believe that SD is an excellent source for homeowners or decorators.

They were very organized and loved that they sent multiple prompts up until 20 minutes before delivering the item to let me know they are on their way.
