I called Lenity last weekend after my recently adopted rescue dog ate something in a bush and started vomiting. The person on the phone was very friendly and said they would see him. The process is efficient and seamless, you check in from your car, complete paperwork and then my dog was taken in. He was examined and I rec'd a phone call from Dr. Zak, also very friendly and explained thoroughly his recommended treatment. Every member of the staff (vet techs Brian and Amanda, I think) was wonderful, so nice, patient and kind.

I really cannot remember the last time I experienced this type of excellent service at an ER Vet and I am so thankful to have found them. After recently moving back to the Bay Area, I was concerned about finding services in this exact type of situation. I had previously used another well know Vet Specialist and did NOT want to go back there since their customer care and services had severely declined over the years. I highly recommend Lenity Vet Specialists and Emergency Care.

I went to Lenity over a year ago but after I had a horrible experience at a different emergency vet, I wanted to come back and praise these guys.
The nurse who talked to me in my car was so sweet and understanding of my situation. Once I told him what was wrong with my chihuahua, he calmed me down and told me what he had was common and not life threatening immediately soothing my worries. This was still around covid time so I was not allowed to enter the clinic.
They did his exam and the vet talked to me on the phone. She was very sweet and super understanding about my concerns and my questions. She was very patient with me.
In the end, I was given my pet back and took him home with some medication and a cone on his head so he wouldn't lick himself. My regular vet a few days later confirmed that everything done at Lenity was correct and my pet would heal in no time.
Thanks for actually caring about the pets instead of the money (like some other hospital I went to recently).

We had a great experience at Lenity with Dr. Tong for our puppy's surgery. We had found out from our vet that our puppy would need surgery. We reached out to Lenity and they responded on the same day, and we were able to make an appointment for a consultation the next day with Dr. Tong. The entire appointment was seamless. Since they have a small indoor space and are still following COVID protocols, they have you park in a numbered spot, and they'll come out to grab your pet. Dr. Tong was very kind, straightforward, and transparent about the surgery and potential risks. We were able to book the surgery for the following week. Following the surgery, the staff answered all of our questions about how to care for our pup and gave us very detailed printed instructions. The entire experience was very positive, and our puppy is having a great recovery. Everyone we worked with was so kind, communicative, and patient. Thank you Dr. Tong and Lenity staff!

I was referred to Lenity by Sage Redwood City when the wait there was 8 hours long. Our dog was suddenly not able to use one of his hind legs so we didn't want to wait. Our experience was excellent. Our wait time was less an hour. The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr Sanchez was very thorough and took the time to answer all our questions and recommended a good treatment plan. Our follow-up with the surgeon Dr Tong on Monday was also very good. Thorough, walked us through all the scenarios and felt like he had our dog's best interest in mind. It's not cheap but these types of services never are. I would highly recommend Lenity for your emergency needs.

I had a really good experience with the staff and doctors there with my dog that had a stricture in her esophagus. Dr. A. Morassi did an excellent job and I can’t thank her enough. Someday I’m going to return just to show her how good my dog is doing. Thank you Lenity vet. Specialist.!!!

Thank you for all your assistance during our emergency visit last weekend. Everyone was very attentive and were great about communicating to us the process and wait times. From experience, their prices are more affordable than other emergency vets in the area. Unfortunately, our 18yo dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to old age. The Lenity staff were very thoughtful and kind. They treated our beloved pet with dignity, respect and kept his remains until he was picked up by Colma Pet rest, our cremation place of choice. I would definitely return for emergency services if the need arises again in the future.

Our sweet lab, Nora, was only four years old, and experienced a sudden set of concerning symptoms. We turned to Lenity for emergency services, and they found something that our regular vet missed - very advanced cancer that had unfortunately spread beyond treatment. When we brought her in, we had no way of anticipating that this would be what they found, so it was a complete shock. The care, compassion, and dignity that was showered upon us and our sweet puppy was unmatched by any vet experience we have ever had. We had to make the agonizing decision to give her peace that night, and today we received a card in the mail from the Lenity team, complete with kind messages of comfort from the whole team, along with Nora’s paw prints. By reputation, emergency vets can be hard to find, super expensive, and can sometimes seem to be a bit “triage and discharge” in their approach. That was not at all our experience, and I wanted to share our endorsement just in case anyone ever finds themselves in a middle-of-the-night scary experience, and doesn’t know where to turn. The entire staff was wonderful, and it made a meaningful difference in our difficult experience. I wouldn’t wish anything less for any loving pet owner, so I wanted to chime in with a review, and share our tremendous gratitude.

My daughter dog name Laila passed away on July 30th,2022 she lived 13 years and was our first dog. We where so sad and we where so lost of what to do. We where received by Staff name Brian he was nice and we felt comfortable and communicated well with us of steps of what they do and price range for ashes of our dog. If you need to take your pet to emergency. I recommend this place and my daughter did take her prior when she was sick of pancreatitis but was to ill medication did not help much. We will forever love and miss our fur baby but I do appreciate everyone in that clinic that helped us with our Laila

These guys are amazing! My dog needed emergency life-saving surgery and they got us in asap through the ER department. When they told me the cost of the surgery, I thought I was going to have to put my dog down because I could not afford it. However, they worked with what I had and we were able to save my dog. The doctor was straight-forward, but you can tell she cared about each and every animal that came into their clinic. I am glad I came here because otherwise I don't think my girl would be here today. My only negative feedback is the front desk didn't seem to be in the know-how and they weren't as friendly as you would expect. Otherwise, I still give them 5 stars and would highly recommend for ER services.

I cannot say enough good things about Lenity. The staff is friendly, compassionate and knowledgable. The surgical team is absolutely amazing and Dr. Tong was quick to respond to my emails. After having major surgery, my dog is back and better than ever thanks to Lenity!

Thank you Lenity for saving Pepper cat’s life. We received great care from the moment we walked in. Dr Carlson did a emergency surgery on New Year’s Day to remove several baby toy pieces from the cat belly. Pepper recovered quickly without any complications. Everyone was super helpful in follow up visits and phone calls. I cannot imagine how worried I would have been. Thank you Lenity!

What a great animal hospital! My pug was in labor and we had a little scare as she was taking a long time to deliver one of the puppies. This was the only emergency vet in the peninsula that would see her. I felt they understood my concern and were quick to hear me out and tell me I was welcome to bring her to them. They saw her, felt she didn’t have a stuck puppy and reassured me she was safe to go home and try delivering natural again with an invitation to come back if she still had trouble. They charged me nothing for this quick exam!

The hospital next door VCA turned us away because they didn’t have a surgeon? Without even looking at her. Sage also turned us away because they weren’t equipped to handle a dog in labor. I could not believe it.

I am so happy and grateful to know there is an actual emergency vet that will actually help when in need.

My pug delivered naturally at home as they predicted! And she is doing just fine.

Thank you Lenity!

Sleepy tired review post visit:
It seems that my kitty bit into the cord of a tall lamp... and was zapped. It was a very traumatic experience to say the least, and Lenity was the only vet able to take us in. There was some miscommunication that went on, but over night e- vet work is tough stuff.... and they were able to give care in the middle of the night. I was in pieces, stuck in a truck with my elderly father and young kid. I am extremely appreciative they were able to take us in.
Every vet is backed up, there are serious waits or complete rejections. Always call ahead and try to be patient wherever you go, but I surely recommend this place for care. My kitty is now happy at home, and hopefully she recovers quickly!
And about the $$$ .... Lenity saved us a good chunk of change, and did not recommend or push excessive treatment options. I was
honestly shocked at how low the bill was. I don't know how they do it all at 2 am!

I very much appreciate the care my dog received here! Everything is still curbside due to covid precautions but I dropped my dog off and the vet tech that came out was very patient and kind, my dog was very nervous and was not cooperating like she normally does. Then they called me with updates and I believe their prices are fair. Dr Carlson was great! She explained my dogs diagnosis and answered all my questions with patience. I 100% recommend this vet.

The only downside I would say is the results to our CT scan came back 4 days later than they initially said they would come back. The wait to hear what was wrong was kinda brutal

The staff at Lenity is awesome. After calling around to a few emergency vets when my dog was ill, Lenity seemed the most responsive and welcoming. It's never fun needing an emergency vet visit, and will always be a costly experience, but the staff at Lenity did a great job taking the time to explain their recommended course of action and next steps. We ended up seeing Dr. Morassi for further examinations and testing. She followed up multiple times to discuss test results and to see how our dog was feeling. They even shared results with our primary vet right away. Glad we found Lenity and will be using them in the future for any emergencies or specialty care!

We took our cat here for a non emergency ultrasound. It did take a long time because his situation wasn't an emergency and we were happy to wait for more serious situations to be seen first. The vet was thorough, knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. I felt very confident about leaving my loved one with them and I'll keep them in the mind for the future.

I love the whole team here! My 7y/o French Bulldog needed soft palate surgery and to say I was a mess about it is an understatement. He had spine surgery last year and I was so nervous about putting him through another surgery. The staff was SO nice and the Dr. Carlson even spoke to me on the phone during off hours to make sure I had all my questions answered about my dogs surgery. The morning I dropped him off I started to cry and she gave me a big hug!

My pup is doing AMAZING after the surgery and can breathe so much better now. Dr. Carlson is a great surgeon and I would 100% bring my pup back to her if needed.

First thing to understand, this is an emergency vet location. If you are looking for scheduled appointments, short wait lines, or anything you expect from your normal vet you are going to be disappointed. They take the critical cases first, and if you aren't the most critical you will have to wait your turn. Your dogs red ear isn't going to get you in ahead of the animal that needs emergency surgery right now. Now that we get that squared away for the person looking for feedback, lets talk about the level of care. THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!! The doctors are fantastic, if you have a real problem, they are professional, they communicate everything up front. They saved our dog, and they did it in the time it took Banfield to even get us on the books for an ultra sound (which was the first step of 3 Lenity took). If I'm between a rock and a hard place with my animals, I'm going straight there, waiting for as long as I need. If you have sticker shock from an emergency vet, that is kind of on you. I'm sure there are cheaper options out there, but I'm personally not interested in the other vets or emergency vet locations for this type of thing. Best advice we ever got was to get pet insurance, because one day you will be at an emergency vet and it will cost you an arm and leg....and it was soo true, but we were covered! Also, something I noticed while waiting outside and watching others, don't be rude to the people working here. They are doing the best they can and in some cases I felt they should have refused service to certain customers because of the way they were treating the staff. I would be happy to work security for them for free to tell all the rude people to go kick rocks. Lenity, THANK YOU for what you did for our pup and being professional. You all ROCK.

My apologies, for not writing this review sooner. Back in January the family dog Jack Daniels, who is our best friend and companion, was diagnosed with a malignant tumor.
Dr. Kim Carlson, with the team at North Peninsula Veterinary Surgical Group, was the surgeon who performed Jack’s surgery. The surgery was a success, and the entire mass was completed removed. Jack is back to his old self and very happy!
Words can not express my appreciation and gratitude for the excellent care and treatment, that my dog received throughout the entire recovery process. Dr. Kim Carlson and her team were extremely supportive for me and my family. They took the time to sit down with the family, to explain in detail the entire process and procedure involving Jacks surgery and treatment plan afterwards.
They were very patient and supportive in answering questions and addressing any issues and concerns that we had throughout Jacks recovery and treatment.
Jack has completed recovered, there are times when I have questions about his health, I can still reach out to Dr. Carlson and her staff, to get advice and information on Jack’s health pertaining to his case.
I would strongly recommend the North Peninsula Veterinary Surgical Group and Dr. Kim Carlson, if your beloved pet ever needs specialized care.
I want to thank them again for taking such good care of my beloved dog!
Respectfully,
Denise
