I love running Heintz Open Space. You can run into Santa Rosa OSP which has a lovely long downhill section and beautiful wildflowers.

Hidden away in a beautiful neighborhood unbeknownst to most. Quite a bit of shade but I think it's most beautiful in winter, fall and spring.

Wonderful open space for a short hike with kids. Super close to Blossom Hill Road and even connects to Belgatos Park. There are great views of the Bay Area and a small shelter/picnic spot. Fun to explore and watch animals!

That was a fresh view! This most definitely would be a fun place for quantum computing. You’ll see a lot of people walking their dogs or biking. This is also a beautiful neighborhood, with a classic American style. Overall I highly recommend. Semper Fi.

Great quick and easy hikes that offer great views from start to end. Recommended for families, kids, elderly, dogs are welcome, and sit around very friendly community.

This was a great spot to bring my pups and get a sweat going! The network of trails vary in difficulty and pitch. Tucked away just outside of Los Gatos it’s easy to access. Very limited parking, however. Trails were well maintained and with biker trails available as well.

What a delightful hidden treasure! You and the dog will get a workout on the hill climbs. There are great views from the top. Keep the kids away from the poison oak that’s endemic in this part of the state, or not let them learn the hard way if they deserve it.

Close to suburbia but has a surprising amount of wildlife. So far I've seen gophers, chipmunks, rabbits deer, gopher snakes, 3 kinds of lizard, quail and turkey. Even a deer killed by what I assume was a mountain lion.

Park essentially consists of 2 walks, both involving shortish but sharp climbs. The right fork, Vista I believe, is short and starts easy but the final part is steepish. Up and back is about half an hour.

The left fork from the entrance climbs for a while with some steepish sections. If you turn left onto Valley View after the shelter on the right about 15 minutes up there is a great view of Silicon Valley. Following the trail around there is the option to take the Santa Rosa Trail which goes up to Santa Rosa St or down to Bel Gatos Park, or continue on the Skyline Trail which loops back to the shelter and back down to the entrance. While the trail up to the Skyline/Valley View junction is double track/fire road, the Skyline/ Valley view are wide singletrack. Up, around the loop and back down is about an hour.

Keep an eye out for descending cyclists, dog/horse poo and snakes.

This was a perfect place for a leisurely and chill hike right on the edge of the city. The views were impeccable and the hills were an explosion of green.

Small park, good for elevation training. No services, no restroom.

Beautiful area open for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Trails are well maintained. There is a steep incline at the start of the trails but well worth it for the exercise and views.

Convenient, partly shaded trail with beautiful views of the South Bay. About 1.5m to Belgatos Park. There's some elevation change but my kids 4 & 7 had no issues hiking.

Great workout with great views. You can make short loops or longer ones if combined with Belgatos, or Santa Rosa Parks. There is some elevation gain for a great workout!

Ok, I give this five Stars based on my criteria, which might not be yours. I use these trails mostly to run on. They are equally lovely for hiking. In the summer they provide a lot of shade, and they have beautiful views out over the valley. Though the trails themselves are not very long, they can be used to connect to Harwood, Hicks road, or through belgato's Park. The foot traffic is never heavy on these trails, so you can run all the way through, and they're hilly which I like.

I love walking through all of the beautiful Trails, quite a few mountain bike riders seem to enjoy it as well. I've seen quite a few deer and even a bobcat. You really get a good work out because of how steep some of the areas are. What a beautiful place to spend a weekend morning!

Great hiking right in our own backyard. Can easily spend a couple hours here if you climb all the way up and loop back though Belgatos park. Very nice.
