Dr and staff wonderful with Shelby my Dad's cat, that I inherited. The Dr took such good care of her even when it was her time for the rainbow bridge at the age of 19 years old. She was so well taken care of. Thank you so much for the great care for her.

Dr. Hodge was fantastic and so compassionate when my dog had to have emergency surgery to remove items from her stomach (hooray for Labradors who eat everything!) during the follow up calls he and his staff were so professional and friendly. I knew my sweet girl was in good hands!

Very nice clean Pet Clinic. Although due to Covid, the have well set up for your drive thru. Then doctor phones you while you wait in your car under carports. The nurses come out to get your pets. Very Nice

Camden Pet Hospital is very simply the best! We have been clients for many years and no matter what the situation we have always received outstanding care. Although our experiences are primarily with one particular vet, we have occasionally seen another and have never been disappointed in the service and care we receive. And you could not ask for a better staff - the receptionists and assistants all treat your pets and you with the utmost respect and consideration.

Been there many hundred times. Still the same place. Dr. Hoge was friendly and good with my dog (who only needed a booster shot). So in and out in 15 min. The ladies in front were good too. Plenty of parking today, not too busy.

I have brought my fur- kids to Camden Pet Hospital for over 20 years. The moment we walk in, we are greeted by name & smiles. Dr. Hodge Sr. has always. been our Vet & he has always shown the greatest care with our dogs, asking pertinent questions, explaining what the issue is, & what we.need to do. (It is " we" as it is a team effort. )
This runs from common ailments to far more severe, life threatening injuries. Last year, while walking my dog on leash, a neighbor drove her F250 over my dog. She hadn't put her windshield wipers on & drove fast, we didn't have any time to move.
Hearing my dog screaming in agony was truly the worst thing ever. We made an emergency call to Camden, & they were ready when we got there. Dr.Hodge operated on my dog for hours. The wheel of the F250 had essentially burned & scalped my dog, almost half of her body. He explained what had to be done & the entire team at Camden rallied around my dog & I. Hundreds of stitches later, tubes inserted to drain fluids, the surgery was over. Dr.Hodge emerged from the three hour surgery with blisters on his hands. I was updated by emails
& phone calls every step of the way. My dog had to stay for over a week & the kennel staff were so warm and loving to my dog. She came home covered in stitches, weak but on the road to a full recovery.
I'm convinced that she would have died if not for Dr.Hodge and the entire team at Camden.
Finally, all pet owners have to go through the awful, heart wrenching decision & ordeal of euthanising an old, much loved dog, who is very much a family member. A previous dog of mine, at age 16, had arrived at that time, when in her best interests, we decided it was time for her to journey over the rainbow bridge. I held her in my arms, stroking her, telling her I loved her, with Dr. Hodge explaining each step. I cried & cried when she closed her eyes & I felt that last, final heartbeat. When I went back in to pick up her cremains, the gentle way the young assistant handed over that box, will forever give me comfort. Even in death, my beloved dog was shown the best of care, compassion & professionalism.

I was referred by a friend who always had great things to say about Camden Pet Hospital. I have to say that despite the current covid restrictions, they have provided very good care of our senior dogs. They have been wonderful adapting to phone based meetings and clear communications about what has been happening with the health of our dogs. It will be nice to actually sit and meet the care teams once the covid restrictions have been lifted.

After our first visit, I felt very confident that Dr. Hoge and his staff would provide our fur baby with excellent care. It's been over a year and they've never let us down.

I feel very comfortable leaving our dog in Dr. Hoge's care, whether it's for a surgical procedure or boarding. Highly recommend!

I can't say it enough, this place is AWESOME. I've been bringing my pets here since I was a kid and they have always been the best. Any veterinarian bill is expensive but here they really just break it down and don't try to charge you for things your pet may not need. They have a reputable business and you can tell that the staff care. They must have a ball working there because I've never seen one nurse /staff in a bad or ill mannered attitude. Highly recommend and I lyft from the other side of San Jose just to bring my dog to the best health care out there for her. Thank you Camden Pet hospital, kittie and I are forever grateful.

This review is long overdue. This is the best vet! Dr.Walter Hodge and staff are all friendly, efficient and overall wonderful. My pets have gotten the best care here. Highly recommend.

Camden Pet Hospital is absolutely the best animal hospital in the Bay Area. My Dad and I have both been bringing our pets here for over ten years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

My Dad is blind and I can't tell you how above and beyond Camden Pet Hospital goes for him.

As for me, they saved my best friend's life. At the emergency hospital, my dog was diagnosed with hemalitic anemia and given an initial 50% chance of survival and then was estimated to live only 3 months after that. Like the crazy dog lover I am, I decided to move forward with the treatment even with these poor odds. Once she made it through the initial treatments at the emergency hospital, I took her to Dr. J. Hoge where he compassionately took it day by day with us until we were only going in for check ups. This was in August of 2013. My amazing dog, Lena, is still thriving today (01/10/17) and healthier than ever thanks to Dr. Hoge. I don't think she would have survived with any other vet.

Thank you again to the amazing staff at Camden Animal Pet Hospital. Lena went from death's door to playing fetch every single day in the park thanks to you! And I got to keep my best friend around. 💛

Dr. Hoge Jr is always really friendly and takes the time to answer any and all questions I have when we do our check ups. The staff is very friendly, and is great with my very nervous dog. 🐶

Dr Hoge and Dr Waller are great, took time to keep and check in on our Kitty with a serious bout of pancreatitis over the weekend. They are very gentle with our very shy and anxious cats

Camden Pet Hospital was my pet care veterinarian for over 30 years. The are fantastic Pet care providers. They took care of my pet rabbit and my four cats over this time period. I HIGHLY recommend Camden Pet Hospital for all of your pet care needs!

Everyone here is so wonderful. They understand that the animals being treated aren't their only patient, and try to make sure that the person on the other end of the leash is kept informed and treated kindly.

They get your pet in right away if it's sick. Nice facility for boarding. Pleasant staff, good vets.

Dr. Hodge (the Elder) is compassionate and caring, he LISTENS to what we need and acts according to what Kitty needs. He's a phenomenal Veteranarian!
