ARCHVET Animal Hospital

Archvet took care of my pup for over 10+ years. Their staff is super caring and gentle. I've experienced a variety of vets at this location and their other location and I've had no concerns. It's easy to make an appointment. I always get an appointment the same day or within a couple of days.

As my dog aged and was experiencing Cushings disease and arthritis, we were so fortunate to have been taken care by Dr. Diaz. Dr. Diaz, a holistically trained vet that specializes in acupuncture, Chinese herbals and bioenergy and has a wealth of knowledge and experience with senior and hospice dogs was an amazing partner to me in supporting my precious dog till end of life. We worked together to make sure my dog was comfortable, symptoms were managed and not in pain. Dr. Diaz and the vet techs were so gentle, understanding and empathetic. I never felt like they told me what to do rather than coach and educated me on how to help my dog. As a pet owner, we know our pets more than anyone because we are with them 24/7, so it was important to me to understand my options, ask questions, be knowledgeable, and resourceful. I also want to thank Dr. Fisher, who was the weekday vet for always taking my last minute appointments and for the care and consultant they provided.

The quality of care, knowledge, experience, and expertise is well worth the cost of their services. Their facility is really clean. Parking is great. There are good eats in that plaza too.

What's with all the bad reviews?? I've been taking my dog here for 7 years, and Archvet is the only vet I trust in the Bay Area. I haven't lived in San Jose in years, yet I still come back and always get a second opinion from Archvet.

Whether it be with Dr. Tal or any of the other vets we've seen, the quality of care is there. Dr. Fischer & Dr. Diaz have been the most recent vets and they are awesome. Professional, kind, and very detail oriented. Yes, it's more expensive than other vets, but out of the 6 other animal hospitals I've taken my dog to in SF & East Bay etc, Archvet is the ONLY one that does not upsell you with unnecessary procedures and the ONLY one that actually diagnoses the issues (they take the time to test and are conservative with their recommendations). They do not immediately jump to the most expensive solutions and they actually prescribe the appropriate medicine for your pet. Other cheaper vets may have a lower exam fee, but trust me they will try to swindle you with unnecessary upsells. Archvet does not and you get an honest recommendation from them.

Example: My dog is a low-rider (short legs, long back) and has had back problems - other vets will prescribe tranquilizers that don't address the pain, but Archvet will prescribe the right medication, i.e. NSAIDs, and my dog feels better.

The staff are absolutely incredible as well - responsive, friendly, and very detail oriented. They have the operations of this place down to a tee! You don't wait forever, they come back with estimates immediately, and the exam rooms are always so clean (not a pet hair in sight).

If you can afford it, you should take your pet here. The quality of care is here and I trust the staff at this hospital with my pets. And if you don't already, get pet insurance! This will help with the cost.

Kojak had a tick on his eyelid removed, no issues - healing great! The entire staff at Archvet is amazing, nice and professional. I found their clinic prices to be very reasonable. We highly recommend this vet clinic 😁👍

I’d like to sincerely thank Archvet staff and doctors!! Our 14 week puppy, Bre, got into an accident while in our backyard the morning of thanksgiving and was bleeding profusely from her teeth. One of her teeth broke off and several other teeth in the front were fractured. We called multiple emergency places but no one would take dental emergency. Finally we called archvet and they took us in immediately. They gave us treatment options within 30 minutes and took the puppy in for surgery. The doctor worked until 4pm on thanksgiving to extract 6 fractured teeth from my puppy. Because of their kindness and generosity, my puppy Bre is doing well - happy and healthy! Thank you so much team!!!

The vet and staffs are very professional and caring towards my dog, despite the stressful situation and overload of patients coming in. They offer great diagnosis and medical recommendations. They also let me choose and filter out estimates before following through with the medical care.

Dr. Solomon is the best vet I have ever worked with. Genuinely treats your pet like it is his own. He's very smart and intuitive about diagnosis, as well as a great guy. My cat has been coming to him for almost a decade. Dr. Solomon has expertly sheparded him through well-kitty care as well as some minor but critical issues like bad teeth. You will be pleasantly surprised and, I suspect, greatly satisfied by Dr. Solomon, a truly world-class vet who runs a stellar practice.

I took both of my kitties in to see Dr Solomon based on reviews that I found in Yelp. I was very pleased and impressed not only with how Dr Solomon and his staff treated my cats, but also how they treated me and my mom. The office was scrupulously clean, they were able to do tests onsite and were very gentle and compassionate with my sick kitty. They were also very understanding about me bringing both cats in when only one was sick (for the buddy system). They have given me advice over the phone on a few occasions as well, which allowed me to have some peace of mind without causing trauma to my kitty by bringing her into the office when it wasn't necessary.

Thank you, Dr. Solomon!! We called other emergency vets in the area and they had a 5-6 hour wait. ArchVet took our dog in the second we pulled up. They were so helpful and caring. Kept us updated throughout his care and surgery. When we picked him up, he was a completely different dog from when we dropped him off. Dr. Solomon cares about his patients. I was so nervous changing vets - we've been using another Vet for over 13 years but they've moved and it's so far now (with my 2 huge dogs in a MINI we look like a clown car after a 45 minute drive each way!).

Dr. Solomon made it so easy and comfortable and he as GREAT with Bella our Lab/Pit mix who is generally nervous and shy - she was playing with him by the end of the visit. Mia is going to love him when her turn for a visit comes.

I highly recommend Arch, they provide great service and we felt like family from the first moment we walked in the door! :)

Fantastic vet. Dr. Solomon is one the best vets I've known. He takes his time making sure everything is fine with your pet and won't try to sell you anything you don't need. He managed to solve some allergy problems with our cat that no other vet could. ArchVet is a bit more expensive than the options around, but worth it.

Dr. Solomon is a very caring, talented, and driven individual. He was the only vet that was capable of getting to the bottom of our dogs bizzare ear issues (In almost 10 yrs, no other vet could diagnose or resolve, so they've lived most of their lives on ear meds/cleaner that only minimally helped). Most recently, he saved our cat from urinary crystals. Time and time again, he and his staff have helped us through tough times with our pets when we had given up hope. Caveat: The front office staff has had regular turn over. Beyond that, his expertise comes at a price, so if you are looking for a cheap solution for your pets problems you should look elsewhere or you will be very disappointed. In our case, we feel his open line of communication, expertise, and willingness to investigate alternative treatment options when necessary is worth the expense. Friendly and compassionate staff who love animals and understand the stressful nature of emergency vet visits. My cat had a major limp and after taking x-rays, the doctor physically showed me that he had a dislocated leg from getting hit by a car. The surgery was too expensive for my college student budget but the doctor was still able to put him to sleep and pop the leg back into place for an affordable price. Over a year later, my cat is living a normal life with no problems thanks to ARCHVET. I cannot thank Dr Solomon and the ARCHVET staff enough for fixing my cat's leg and also for their compassion through such a stressful time. If any of my family and friends needs to visit a vet, I always recommend ARCHVET with confidence because they took care of me and my cat. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

I brought one of my cats here in an emergency. They were really wonderful and accommodated me at the last minute. The vet was patient with my stressed out cat, explained things thoroughly and the front office was calm, clean and organized. The only downside is that they are a schlep from me in San Mateo County.

Dr. Solomon is everything you would want from a vet. He examines and diagnoses your pet in front of you and explains exactly what he is doing. He is warm and caring. I came here after
having a very distressing experience at an ER vet clinic. My maltese/poodle was experiencing pain and they gave the worst case scenario about a possible slipped disc or back injury. They said most
likely, we would need a MRI($1600-3000) for diagnosis and back surgery. Dr. Solomon performed a thorough neurological exam in front of me, prescribed medication and limited activity. My dog Sugar, after 4 days of medication is almost her old self again. The clinic is clean and the staff is very friendly.

I’ve been taking my animals to Archvet for years, and the only place I trust my furry friends with. They are courteous, kind attentive and always have fair prices. Keep up the good work Dr. Solomon and staff!

Dr. Solomon is one of the most talented and caring vets you can find. He is friendly, upbeat, and cares as much for your animals as you do. We've known him for a while, and it is always a pleasant experience. He always takes care of us and helps however he can. Please give him a try; you won't regret it.

Both the staff and the doctor were very pleasant, and the doctor was so gentile in the exam that I don't think Mumford stopped purring. Our experience maps with Mr. Herbison in that the doctor seems to put the pet’s welfare ahead of profits. I was also pleased to learn that in August 2014 they will be open seven days a week.

If I could, I would drive 800 miles from Arizona to take my dogs for their vet visits with Dr. Solomon. He has a very special knack with his animal patients, a stellar veterinarian indeed. A real-life Doctor Doolittle!
