Burlingame Public Library

Lovely spacious library near downtown with many great sections and a classic, traditional feel to it. I love to go to different libraries and explore when I am in the area or visiting a city. It is peaceful and a great place to work. There is a nice patio upstairs. If you do not have a library card and want to use the computer, just ask one of the kind staff for a guest pass which will allow 1-2 hours free use. I did not see dedicated parking, just street side.

Me and my husband visited there for the first time to see from inside. As we know it's a public library but we have to ask the reception desk whether I see inside or not. So they permit us and ask to make a library card. Library is really beautiful, organized and well maintained. It motivates me to read more books 📚😅. I also bought books from the library. Staff is really nice and soft spoken. We will decide to go there and read books daily for one hour. Thank you

A large piece of paper for drawing is attached to the table in the children's area. You can even make a beaded bracelet, so it's great for kids!

Great library. Lots of resources for adults and children, helpful staff, tons of periodicals across the subjects. High;y recommended.

Always a great experience with the books, the building, and the tech at the Burlingame Library! Easy computer access. Wonderful staff. And a Reserved section with lots of older and rare books for on-site reading.

Such a nice place to relax and read. Excellent selection of graphic novels, games, and movies too!!

Did you know they also sell books here? Very afforable and a good way to avoid having to return the books!

Friendly and kind staff, lots of books in kids section.Lots of parking around. They have events all year around for the kids. Open late on weekdays!

The Burlingame Library curbside pickup program was outstanding during covid and now I'm able to request books and pick them on a shelf on the first floor rather than searching all over for them. Geralynn, has been extremely helpful when I've called to inquire about making copies, overdue books, and other things. I've been visiting the main library for over 50 years and it's always a wonderful experience. The entire staff is excellent and I love the paperback book sale so that I'm able to purchase books for friends who cannot leave their home.

best library ever! great selection and the building is absolutely gorgeous! they also have fun workshops and activities! they have lots of tables too so it’s a nice place to sit and get some work done.

Love this library! Since there's 3 floors there's plenty of places to study. They have the one person desks and 2-4 person desks in case you come with friends. They also have rooms available for reservation. There's also a cafe but I've never bought anything there since there's so many great places to eat outside of the library within walking distance.

Burlingame Library is a big gem! Great reading room(s), stock of books and periodicals/magazines. They also have a children's library and books for sale.

Inside is a wonderful eatery for take-out "Fika Cafe." They serve Mediterranean specialties such as wonderful Baba Ghanoush, chicken/ beef wraps, and both a delicious Vegetarian and Beef Lasagna.
All food is freshly made, and the sweet cheese pie and walnut baklava is just right.

Please give them a try. They are also lovely people.

A place where you can borrow booze CDs DVDs and read current affairs magazines newspapers and the like in a quiet area.

Excellent customer service and well organized. Great facilities including a quiet area as well as an area where you can make a little bit more noise. Always appreciate a informal pop up book sale too :-) thanks!

Weeding has help me learneded. I'm joking, SMPL is the best resource in San Mateo County. Also compared to other libraries, this one smells quite nice. Most of life's problems stem from a lack of knowledge, so this is the place to lean and grwow. Thank you!

I love the inside of this library. It is huge and they added a coffee shop recently. There are lots of chairs, and comfortable ones at that. We've been able to get loans from other libraries through Burlingame and they come pretty fast. We also use their eBooks and once you get the hang of it that is really cool. We listen to Sherlock Holmes and Beatrix Potter audiobooks too and you can do that all on your iPad.
