Big Basin Cafe

Had a nice breakfast and latte at this coffee shop! They have the best coffee on Saratoga Avenue. The lavender latte was smooth and the avocado toast was fine. They also have different board games to play with! Would like to try their ice cream next time!

I’ve been wanting to come here for years. It’s always so crowded every time I would pass by, and now I know, for good reason! I got the iced matcha lavender latte & my friend got the coconut honey latte with the turtle cheesecake. Everything was fantastic! I must come back to try their breakfast waddle!

I was there for coffee during cycling and this place is busy in the morning with long lines for breakfast and coffee. They have Cortado yay. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

A lovely little cafe downtown Saratoga! They have a great selection of drinks, and food items and pastries for breakfast or lunch!

My favorites has to be their pies and breakfast burritos though. They just hit the spot every time! Seriously though, I love this place!

My Labor Day weekend in Saratoga was made even better by our visit to Big Basin Cafe. As a non-coffee person, I’m happy to find that they have many drink options without caffeine. I appreciated that they accommodated my preference and made me a delicious lavender Italian soda, even though the flavor wasn't on their menu. The $5.40 price, including tax, felt a tad steep for a short Italian soda drink, but the ambiance was fantastic. I might come back to try their desserts next time cuz they look delicious!

Went to get some drinks and food. Gentlemen at the counter was super nice. The lemon tea is great! I would order again.

This cafe is dog-friendly and has water bowls outside and some dog treats inside.
It opens early so it is definitely good candidate for breakfast.

Ordered avocado toast and vegetarian lasagna, both were really tasty 😋 I like how they have the Louisiana hot sauce packets. It went well with the food we got.

Have been visiting this cafe for years now! Regardless of the hour, there is always space to sit somewhere, –either inside or outside,– the coffees are delicious, large and fairly priced, and the atmosphere is calm and cozy compared to many other cafes I’ve been to.

Very beautiful and cozy cafe amidst the historical city of Saratoga. They have a very friendly vibe and the ambience is just beautiful. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The portion size is quite generous. The road side sitting arrangement just adds to the feel of the place.
More than anything they have a range of vegetarian options, may it be lasagna or quiches. The Gelato is the best I have ever tasted. Variety of coffee from light to dark Ethiopian. They have an assortment of cakes including carrot cakes. The cafe is open from 7am to 7pm seven days of the week.
With the beautiful sitting arrangement to the vegetarian friendly menu and friendly staff a visit to this cafe definitely adds to the Saratoga experience.

Their coffee is always delicious! They have great pastries and their sandwiches always hit the spot. A great stop if you are hungry and tired after a long day out on the bike

What a wonderful Cafe! Sitting in Saratoga, with rains outside, looking at the hills and the clouds, sipping hot coffee - takes me back to my vacation memories! But this is just another day, a morning coffee in the wonderful Big Basin Cafe. Tons of locals chat and catch up here, and enjoy the wonderful hospitality on offer. I drank the house coffee - medium roast, and loved the flavors coming through. We also tried the Veg Empanada, as well as the Caprese sandwich, and both were delicious! In all, this is a great place to sit and relax, read a book, enjoy the vibes, and soak in the beauty called Saratoga!

I had no expectations of this cafe. I had the Mexicali quiche and my partner had broccoli and cheese quiche; by far the best quiche I've had in the last decade or so. The coffee was absolutely delicious!

I had an iced zebra latte and it was amazing. This place has a great atmosphere and is super popular with the locals. I would highly recommend coming here. I did not try any of the baked goods but they look awesome.

What a great cafe. I was impressed with the selection of cake, cookies, and baked goods. I especially enjoyed the carrot cake. The coffee was great and it was nice sitting out side in the small sitting area. I recommend this place and will come back.
