Our family of four loved this hotel! The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and stylish. The kids loved the beautiful pool and hot tub and the landscaping was lovely. The breakfast was vast, tasty and good quality. The location was wonderful-close to shops, restaurants, the beach and the PCH. We'd definitely stay here again! No complaints at all! Stay here!

Really loved our stay and I’m so grateful I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. Upon checking in, I asked about the noise concerns and an amazing gentleman at the front desk helped secure us a room that didn’t have as much traffic noise. I used white noise at night and had no issues sleeping and never once heard those in the adjoining rooms. I also used the fitness room every day and was grateful for the cardio and weights options. The yoga mats should be replaced but that’s a minor concern.

I also found the front desk staff and the breakfast staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Quiet and peaceful!!!
If your’e looking for a place to stay while exploring the area, I would recommend this hotel. Carpinteria is a beautiful sleepy beach town right off the highway and this is only a few minutes away to Santa Barbara and probably an hour to Solvang and like what I mentioned, if you want to have a quiet rest, this would be a good place. There is plaza with some restaurants outside the hotel and there are more restaurants heading to the beach.
I didn’t use the gym nor the pool so I cannot comment on those, the breakfast has a good variety of what to expect and although nothing stood out, they’re good nevertheless and filling.
I got two connecting rooms which was great for my family and they’re clean, spacious and have microwave and fridge but we didn’t use them because we mostly dined in restaurants, but it’s still good to have them.

I would like to say two things that they could improve on. One, there was a lot of dust on the metal of the lamps. Second, there was a lot of noise because of the room being close to the exit. Everything else was amazing. I like the fact that in the shower, you have shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. They even give you a small bag with two cotton balls, two q tips, and finer for your fingernails, which I thought was a very unique touch. The breakfast was good as always which is included free of charge.

This is hands down the best place to stay in Carpinteria! It is so convenient to town and the beach. It's a short walk or an even shorter drive. During the summer the hotel is full but there's always parking space (not a ton of extra but always enough). The rooms are slightly below the average Holiday Inn Express, meaning they will need updating soon, but the rooms are also quite a bit larger than an average HIE with 2 queen beds an a pullout sofa sleeper. At times, some employee's at the front desk are less than warm; at times the rooms aren't fully cleaned (e.g. lots of hair in the tub; sofa bed sheets don't appear to be clean, etc.). We stay here at least once a year and plan on returning.

Beautiful landscaping and parking lots are always clean.

Great hotel, and extremely clean and comfortable which is definitely something I look for. Came to the area to go to Santa Barbara, but the hotel prices were better here and I'm actually glad we stayed here. The room was big and beautiful and breakfast was delicious. One thing though, if you don't want to be bothered in the morning, make sure you put that sign on the outside of your room. Had a maid walk in without knocking or anything. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

Loved this place. I would definitely go back. Breakfast was amazing 😍 it was a full free breakfast with everything you could possibly imagine!

Nice pool ( not over 5 ft)

Rooms clean and staff was so friendly and helpful.

In walking distance to shops and restaurants or a quick 5 to 10 min drive.

Plenty of free parking and a small fitness room.

Loved the breakfast with the patio. Sausage and plain omelette and usual continental stuff. Rooms with fridge with freezer and microwave. Nice linens. Dove soap in the shower. Conveniently close to the freeway on ramp. Others may complain about this but I didn't hear the noise of the traffic, outside or inside.

Typical Holiday Inn but I liked the building and the energy. Only 2 floors, nice staircase upstairs and a nice lobby. The front door is big and always open, I like the atmosphere and would go back.

My wife, my dog and I stayed one night there to attend a wedding nearby. The staff was helpful and friendly. It wasn't until the next day after we checked out and were 100 miles down the road that we realized we left my dogs bed in the room. It's a fantastic bed and if they sold them to fit humans, I would buy one. I called them that day and asked if they didn't mind mailing it back to me. They did it with no problem, no attitude and the whole experience was great. I want to especially mention Jasmine, a front desk clerk and wonderful person, and Douglas who refused to let me reimburse the hotel for the expense and trouble. Thank you to you both and the Holiday Inn Express of Carpinteria overall. We will be back! My dog says thanks also!

Really nice hotel with all amenities like a microwave and a fridge in the room itself. Breakfast was decent. The best part was that pets are allowed which was the main thing for us!

Excellent hotel with pool. Enjoyed a much needed vacation over Labor Day weekend. House keeping and front desk was very helpful in finding my personal jewelry I had left behind. Many places to shop and eat. Beach even had platforms to swim out to and very beautiful to enjoy. Highly recommend a place to stay. Be sure to enroll into rewards porgram.

We loved our stay! The rooms are large, clean, and beds are comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches, like coffee and fruit available in the lobby. Breakfast was great. Hotel is walking distance to the beach, and a short drive to the action in Santa Barbara.

The one person working the desk was great! Very nice and got people through quick (Rather big line when we showed up, of people checking in.)! Rooms pretty nice, and beds were actually not too bad. Nice little balcony (Too bad we couldn't enjoy due to rain). Free breakfast was nice, well stocked and staff kept tables, areas clean (Wiped tables continuously with disinfectant.) and stocked at all times!

We have stayed here a few times, it is always clean and the rooms are comfortable. The front desk staff and housekeeping are friendly and helpful. Brianna is so professional and welcoming. I left my boots there and they are kind enough to hold them until my friend can pick them up. We look forward to staying there again soon.

We spent a few days here and had a great time: the staff is exceptional, the room was cozy and clean (and very quiet, despite being near the highway). When I had a Wi-Fi issue, the manager addressed it immediately and I was able to have videocalls from the bedroom. 100% recommend!

This was our second stay at this hotel. The rooms have been remodeled and are clean and beautiful. The desk chair is probably the most comfortable one that I have experienced. The staff is friendly and customer oriented and the manager, Michael Ensign, truly understands and implements the concept of customer service. The breakfast bar was delicious and fresh with a wide variety of options for every type of diet. We will be staying again at this hotel when we return to the area in a year. Thank you Michael and staff for making our stay so pleasant.
