Always so tasty and everyone so attentive, best place for locals and anyone stopping in town

The warmth of Japanese/American hospitality and great food with island favorites available. A rare treasure I am reluctant to share. Because my favorite places become overrun very quickly.

I love their club sandwich so much! We had some French toasts, sandwich and breakfast meal. The owner is so friendly, I will come here again!

It is a Korean-run restaurant. The Korean owner was very friendly. There are many menus. Taste is also the best restaurant. I ate the shrimp udon that the owner recommends, it's really delicious. If I travel there, I will definitely eat there again.

The food was nice, we had breakfast but lunch was available with a decent selection. The service was good and the people were nice and welcoming. We'll go back again.

I haven't been to Hugo's for a long time. But my wife and I stopped in for a quick breakfast. I think we were both very favorably impressed. Not only was the interior fresh and clean with recent paint and a nice color decor, but the prices were reasonable, the service was quick and the food was good. It's hard to argue with that. My wife said we need to come back here more often!

Great service and delicious food! Visited Carpenteria for the weekend and stopped here for a bite to eat, it's clearly a favorite among locals. The staff were all lovely and our food came out quickly. I got the veggie scramble which was very good. Would eat here again :)

Best place to get brunch in town. We tried three different omelets: Big Cal, Denver and Hugo’s special. We liked Big Cal the most which had some Mexican flavor. The spicy chicken bowl is classic!

We went for breakfast and the woman who was there was super friendly. She let us take our time when we were trying to figure out what to get for my nephew. The breakfast was yummy, my son said the pancakes were the best he's ever had.

A wide variety of food at good price points. I had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs, which was excellent. It also came with a pancake. We were served by Max, who was outstanding. Simply put, he is a ray of sunshine, who will put a smile on your face. The other staff were very friendly as well. Can easily recommend this place.

Delicious food! Had the eggs Benedict and chicken fried steak. Both were amazing. Very friendly service. We will definitely go back!

Very friendly hostess. Good, diner food. The pancakes were just crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside- perfect.

I love this restaurant. The food has always been delicious and hot. But I think my favorite thing about Hugo's is how friendly they are. They always sincerely welcome me like I am their favorite customer. That's always a great way to start a meal.

Right off the freeway, this place is truly a hidden gem. Not flashy at all and you’d hardly know it was here. Tucked away in the corner of a little strip mall. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared quickly. As far as a “greasy spoon” diner goes, Hugo’s gets a 10/10.
