Guichos Eatery

This place is great, and I would highly recommend.
The ingredients are high quality and the food is prepared with care.
Had the grilled eggplant sandwich, and it was phenomenal. I'm usually not one to gush about veggie options, but this was a memorable sando done right. Salad was super fresh, service friendly and outside seating pleasant.
Next time we're back in Carp, will return for more🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Go here and get the eggplant sandwich, even if your aren't vegetarian and even if you are just visiting Santa Barbara, drive there and get it. Its that memorable.
Took a while to arrive at the table but it was worth the wait due the care involved in making this masterpiece.
Follow up edit one week later. We went back for the same eggplanty goodness and got the meatball sando too to split.
Exceptional too.
Its enough food for 3 or 4 people though.

Bar none! Delicious spaghetti with yyuuggee meatballs to die for! I haven’t had delicious spaghetti with meatballs in a very, very look time like that. The staff were courteous and they were always available. Such an underrated place to eat. Everyone! This is a MUST go there to eat delicious Italian food!

Incredible pasta gluten free. I had de fettuccini shrimps and I loved it! I’m celiac and the waiter was nice and understandable. I recommend it a 100%

Basically an Italian take out eatery with some inside and outside tables. Good food!

Cool business model! They only give takeout, which may seem odd, but you will not be disappointed. The serving sizes are humongous. Yes, one dish costs like 20 dollars but they really give you your money’s worth. They also take like 30-45 minutes from the time you order to give you your food, but it’s worth it. I suggest calling your order in so it’s ready sooner to the time you get there.

The spaghetti and meatballs come with rich and balanced tart tomato sauce and the like 5 gigantic meatballs. They’re the size of a golf ball! Seriously! You have to buy it to believe me. The pasta is Al dente and so good! If you eat it fresh, it’s PIPING hot because they make it to order.

We also like the lasagna because it’s legit. Not many places serve it that we know of and it is totally made in house. It has really good sausage and they actually bake it in the tin they give you.

They don’t have much seating inside, but they do have some outdoor seating. Great eat after a long day at the beach!

Excellent food! I had the chicken soup. Best I have ever had. If I did not live on the East coast I would be here at least once a week! Service was super friendly. Nice clean place. I would definitely recommend

A relatively new eatery along Linden, the main drag of Carpinteria. I had to go find some things in my favorite antique shop Homestead and passed this place on the way. The cooking smells were divine.
Decided to go light for dinner and this was an excellent choice. It could have been blah, but it was SO good. Full of fresh yummy flavors. The prices are reasonable ($11 for this dish), the staff was charming. Inside and outside dining.

Seeing others post pics of the Grilled Shrimp Salad made my mouth water, so decided to try it for myself! In short, it TASTED as good as it looked! Super fresh greens, sun dried tomatoes, white beans, and perfectly grilled shrimp! So delicious and only 10.95!

This place is a repeat for sure!

We stopped in after departing the last train from Santa Barbara and savored every last crump. We ordered the eggplant sandwich and chicken soup. Soup was the hottest/warmest I've ever been served, ever. To my British husband's dismay I believe in 26 years of marriage I've never served him soup this warm - he loved it! I don't believe he was excited to share the eggplant sandwich with me until he tried it, then I could barely hold him back from my share. The bread had a gentle crisp on the outside, and was soft on the inside (not mushy); the little nooks and crannies of the bread perfectly absorbed the flavors of the sandwich. I will drive back to Carpinteria purely for this sandwich. Soon!

salad but I'm in love with the chopped chicken!!!! We love Guicho's!!

We were traveling south on February 2024 which ended up being a stormy night so we checked into a hotel to wait it out. We needed Gluten Free Pasta for my partner & nothing would warm me up & calm me down more than a hot juicy Lasagna. Guicho’s Eatery didn't disappoint! On a night where other restaurants were closed because of the rain & flood risk, they were there for take-out. When I got back to the hotel, I ended up
In Italian Heaven. I’ll be back to Carpentera just to eat there & take in more of their delicious food & happy vibe. Thank You!

I traveled here on vacation from Chicago in early Feb 2020, and discovered this fine restaurant. My 2 main choices were a meatball sandwich, and what could be described as a Philly Cheesesteak offering, and a salad order as well. All of the food was delicious, and I wouldn't hesitate to return here if and when I do revisit this area

I have never ever tasted Fast food Italian style food in my life (and I have went to my fair share of Italian restaurants,) but this place is amazing !! We went for a weekend and we wanted to go to lIl. Dons seafood restaurant &. It was over 1.5 hr wait. We landed here and we got lucky ! Try this place you won’t regret it!!

I love going to guichos on my lunch break! It’s always so fresh and delicious. My favorite is the chicken Marsala! The staff are always so wonderful and kind.

So good and reasonably priced! We had the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and tortellini. Really good bread too!

This spot was such a wonderful find. We we're traveling a little late and we haven't ever adventured around the little town of Carpinteria. Luckily we drove down the right street as we found Guichos Eatery. I had the portabello sandwich and my wife had the risotto. They nailed both of the dishes, flavors we're on point. Nice staff, really nice decor and atmosphere. Definitely be returning.

OUTSTANDING! We'd heard of this restaurant and finally tried it. What were we waiting for??
Wonderful menu and the soup, salad, chicken marsala, and fusili special were all delicious. Fun open kitchen atmosphere. This goes to the top our our "regular" list. Can't wait to return to work our way down the menu especially since there's one in San Clemente which is closer to home.

Fast casual Italian is something I have never said before, but this place is great for just that! The pastas are excellent and very generous portions. Prices are very good. Just know that your meal will be in a to go box, not plated even if you eat inside or limited outside tables. To go or eat in it's very good and Fast Casual Italian! Hint... 1 pasta is plenty for two young ones or even a couple for lunch. Hungry eaters one pasta and you are done 👍
