I saw Andrea’s beautiful work on a San Jose based colleague of mine. This colleague messaged Andrea and I was able to see her as soon as possible even though I arrived less than one hour before closing.

Andrea was sweet, warm, and accommodating. She was very savvy and perceptive in helping me change up my hair while still maintaining my style. I really love my new haircut.

I’d like to add that I’m a former New Yorker who’s had her cut and styled by hairdressers whose work has appeared in prestigious editorials (think Elle, V, etc.). Andrea’s work was on par, if not better than some of these stylists and for a fraction of the cost as well.

If you live or are visiting in the SJ area, give Andrea or the other lovely stylists a visit.

Andrea will definitely become my goto when I’m in the area.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Theyre fantastic. Berta rescued my color from a bad home dye job when I first moved to CA almost two years ago and it's looked amazing growing out ever since. In the intervening time, I've been getting consistently terrific cuts from here, and I've gotten my husband hooked on Amy's handiwork for his own haircuts. Prices are reasonable, vibe is great and the quality is the best -- and I say this as a former habitue of high end salons in NYC and Boston.

I've been going to Berta for a bit now and I'm always pleased with the results. She has great color recommendations. It's a fun salon and they do great work.

I almost drove right past it the first time, as the driveway to the parking lot is in-between two buildings. Reasonable prices and friendly competent staff. Great salon!

Simona is the best!!! She is not only an amazing colorist, but also an all-round great person - warm, genuine and easy to talk to. Simona truly listens when I describe what I want...and then she goes and somehow makes it even better! The salon itself offers a welcoming and relaxed environment - no judgy vibes here. I'm sure the other stylists are all wonderful as well based on what I've observed. Go here!!

I found this gem on Yelp when I first moved to San Jose and have being a regular with Simona ever since. She always does an amazing job: gives me exactly what I want and remembers me each time I come in. Her warmth and easy to approach mannerism makes getting a hair cut in her chair one of my favorite hair experiences! She also gives me hair tips and tricks and styles my hair so beautifully after each cut - I can't say enough good things about my experiences with Simona and this Salon!
The Salon itself has fabulous ambiance and I love the relaxing and fun environment it creates. Parking is always easy to find despite the semi-small parking lot and their hours make it very convenient to find a time that works in your schedule. I recommend checking it out!

I went to Gypsy Rose when they were on race street, didn't stop going because they weren't good, but because of other reasons and I used to see Berta who was a great stylist. Now they are up the street in a bigger place and they still have very talented professional (yet fun and easy to talk to) stylists. My last appointment was with Rachel to cut my hair after I got some bleaching done that left it very dry and frizzy. She cut my hair leaving more length than I expected and it was shiney, soft, and looked like it belonged in a photo shoot! She is amazing and knows her stuff. I will be going back to her for some highlights. I'll leave another review afterwards.

Great salon located in the heart of San Jose (downtown). They have an abundance amount of parking in a lot located behind the salon, which so happens to be accessible through a backdoor. Gypsy Rose offers some amazing stylists suitable for anyone's needs. But I go to, and am 💯% satisfied with Andrea Fernandez.....so much talent in that young woman

The salon has a very unique décor that enhances the hospitality and abilities of each hair stylist. I am a regular customer and my hair stylist is Janessa, I feel welcome by Janessa and her coworkers, they greet you, and make you feel as part of their community. The clients that walk in and get their hair styled leave with a big smile. Those ladies obviously love their job are a fun group who share their stories, and “joke” around with their customers. It’s a pleasant experience to be transformed by their meticulous skills. I highly recommend this salon to any one seeking a new stylist or a new look.

Funky and clean atmosphere, top-notch stylists, colorists and aethetic consultants. All this, plus exactly zero attitude. They treat everyone friendly and with respect. I see Jocelyn and love her, as does my 10-year-old, and I know others who go to different stylists...everyone feels the same way about the place. Oh no...I shouldn't have told you this. Now you'll make an appointment and make it harder for me to get in! ;)
