Mr. Chau's Restaurants

It’s been years since I’ve had Mr.Chau’s, I thought they were all gone but I’m happy I found this one. It’s not fully as good as it used to be but it’s still really delicious. A lot of the sauces and flavors taste the same. I just wish they had more options to choose from but I love that they serve you great size portions. My favorites are the House Chicken and the 5 flavor Chicken.

Like going back to the 90's. I never went to Mr. Chau's as a kid despite memorizing their entire commercial. Positive experience. Decent price, big portions, quick dirty greasy chinese food. Tastes like childhood.

For years, I thought that the only remaining Mr. Chau’s was the one on El Camino in Santa Clara. That place was garbage, and it looks like it was permanently closed.

Luckily, I randomly stumbled upon this location a couple weeks ago, and I decided to give it a chance. I’ve already been back twice, and I’m coming from San Francisco.

The food is exactly what I remember, and hits the spot that I’ve been craving. It also triggers nostalgia for my youth which doesn’t happen often anymore with how much SJ has changed.

It was great I love eating there Foods always good prices are reasonable and I'll keep eating there every time I want Chinese food

The food is really good and cheap, the portions of the plates are excellent.

This place is is wonderful. I used to go to the one in Santa Clara but it closed. This location is just as good. The food is delicious and for the price they give you a lot. The place was clean with plenty of seating. It was very busy but the line moved good. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be returning to this place again. Go try it out, you won't regret it.

Price point compared to quality & quantity is amazing!!! Spent $50 to feed 4 ppl & we didn't even finish the food. Had left overs. Not as many options as panda but better quality then it.
I am definitely coming back. Love me some Chinese food on days you don't wanna cook.
The young Latina working behind the counter was so friendly & considerate. Miss when ppl are genuinely nice & friendly. Appreciate the delicious Chinese food prepared by Mexicans.

Sad to see Mr. Chau's closing all of his other locations. He's the BEST in the Chinese food, he's a 1,000 times better then Panda Express & the 100 other Chinese restaurants that I've been to.

I hope this location will never close.

I hope he'll open new locations in the future. I'd love to see him beat Panda because he really deserves it for creating such excellent flavor in the entrees he offers.

I'd LOVE to see him open up one in Miami & to appoint me the General Manager & relocates me there 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'd move tomorrow.

Ok this is my favorite Chinese food! It tastes delicious and they hook it up. Usually they have everything ready but sometimes you might have to wait 5 min for them to add a new tray of deliciousness 😋. Also not as pricey as the other larger Chinese food chains.

i went to mr. chaus almost once a week for years living in san jo.....moved to modesto and go everytime im in san jo!! great service, great price but most important great fooooood.....its allll good!!

Got a 3 item combo with chow mein, five flavor chicken and house chicken. Added a large chicken salad. This place has generous portions, friendly staff and clean restaurant. Believe this is last one left in San Jose, hope they never close. 🙏

Been coming for years. Best 👌 and one of the last in San jose, besides the one on Camino Blvd

The girl that served my to go containers filled them up so much, that they barely closed! The food is always fresh and it's very flavorful. This is a weekend treat that I look forward to all week long!

Good food, everything was really good the rice and chow main dishes were good the egg rolls where stale no joke. I had the 5 flavor chicken and the Kung pao and they where good. I stop by every once in a while since I don't live in San Jose

My long lost love, hahaha! I have found you again! If only I knew soon that this is where you were!! Still the best of the best, yumm. I don't think I could ever get enough white rice and 5 flavor chicken 😯.

This is the only Mr.Chau's I'll go to, the food is always good here, haven't had a single bad plate. Love it! It's a small place, there's seating, but it can get crowded after lunch time.

House chicken was great so was the orange chicken

No lines, good service, great portions. 👍
