Springtime, trees are blooming, grass is turning green. Blue skies. The walking trail is all the way around the park so you can definitely get plenty of miles in while visiting.

As we pulled up the looming shadow of the playground fell upon us, gasps from my kids of excitement filled the car. We got out, and I let them loose. They scurried towards the playground like a dog scurring after the chunk of steak your uncle Tom dropped under the table. They ran through the entrance, I lost sight of them almost immediately but wasn't fearful at all because of the well planned and placed benches by the only two entrances/exits. The playground had consumed my children, it would be at least 20 minutes until I saw them again...

The bathrooms are closed but there's a port-a-potty (1) and the library with a good bathroom!

It's not the wooden castle it used to be, but it's a castle of a different sort now! The ground feels like you're walking on clouds, legit the softest surface I've ever walked on, yet firm enough to run full speed!

Tons of attractions and very well maintained!

Bathrooms were clean. Park was clean. The jungle gyms were fantastic. (Sorry to see the castle was removed)
The kids enjoyed the whole park, including the other section that had a modified zipper line.
Happy to see the shade things too, as today was over 100°.

Such a big and beautiful park! There is so much to do here, and so much space that it doesn't feel crowded. They have some really fun playgrounds that are nicely shaded so they never get super hot. There are a lot of walking paths as well. Overall it's a great place to spend a couple of hours.

This park is awesome! There are not one, but two baseball diamonds! We held our Odyssey Days event here for recovering addicts. It was so awesome! the park allowed us to come together to build and strengthen friendships, in a safe, supportive, and all-around great environment! The parking wasn't the best on Earth, but it wasn't bad. The location is awesome as well, and very easy to find. Right behind (West) the government center on redwood road in West Jordan. I was able to get a picture of nearly all of the CATS staff who work their butts off six and sometimes 7 days a week at the Salt Lake County jail, and oxbow, to give those struggling with addiction a better chance at recovery, and help to ensure a safer community for everyone! These people truly are real life heroes!

Best park yet I've seen here. Has 4 play areas and one is huge. We liked how 2 are fenced it gives it a safer feel. Many cool things to play on and a zip line in biggest area. Loved it's built strong enough for adults to run around on too.

My grands, ages 10 & 6, love this place. It's their favorite playground and we've been to almost all the major playgrounds in the south end of the valley. They love the big slides & Zipline with many things to play with and climb on. It's fenced in with many benches and tables to relax while they play.

This park is always so well maintained, I’ve interacted with people who care for the grounds a couple times and they were so great. There’s a little fence that goes around the huge play area and it always gives me some extra peace of mind. There’s a lot of tables and it’s pretty common to see people with food from places close by. Pro tip, bring a picnic blanket (sometimes the grass is still damp) and sit right outside of the fence underneath the shade of the trees, it’s a lot cooler.

This is a pretty great park! There are a handful of playgrounds, and they are all fun, relatively new-seeming, and in good condition. It's a beautiful, spacious park. The biggest problem was that my toddler was having too much fun to leave willingly. I'd never seen this kind of parent-child swing before. That's just one of many things I liked about this park.

Awesome Park! Kids had a blast and so did we. Lots of slides and different types of musical activities and playground fun. Plenty of benches and shaded areas as well

Very nice park with lots of benches to sit on. Beautiful memorials. I really liked how the colors of the painted flag stood out from the stark gray of the tribute walls.

Loved this place. Discovered by chance as we did some shopping in that area. It has everything a park should have and even more. I particularly liked one of their playground. Most probably one of the best outdoor one I have seen. The proximity to the library is a plus. The memorial place makes it historical as well and makes you reflect a bit.

I really enjoy this park especially during pokemon go community day, it's very concerning when people are driving around while playing the game but it's been a huge help training my dog to socialize with people and other dogs, so if you see me out there throwing a red Frisbee with a German shepherd please feel free to ask if you could toss it, he loves his frisbee! He's friendly just remember to put new dogs below the chin not on there head, young dogs get anxious if you attempt to cover their vision.

Great park! I love the location. It is a very easy walk from the Trax station (¼ mile).
The park itself covers about 100 acres. As of this writing there are 4 different playgrounds. There is actually a 5th currently under construction. When it is finished it will dwarf the size of the other 4. It looks like a lot of fun (I posted photos of the construction area behind the fence).

As you would imagine, in addition to the playgrounds, there are tennis courts, basketball courts, and several baseball diamonds. There are picnic tables, covered pavilions (with tables), drinking fountains, restrooms, and doggy clean-up stations at various locations throughout the park. Some of the larger pavilions can be reserved for special occasions. Phone numbers for reservations are posted at each pavilion.

There is a lot of wide open space with a lot of mature trees for shade. There is also a Veteran Memorial in the center of the park with flags, plaques and water features. Just across from the memorial are several historic buildings and vehicles that were a lot of fun to learn about. All in all it is the perfect place to spend the day with the family.

As I mentioned above, there is currently a larger playground under construction near the east end of the park. Toward the West end there is a recreation center. The rec center has its own outdoor playground for smaller kids as well as baseball diamonds. Inside the rec center there are a couple swimming pools under construction that should be finished before the end of the year. I'm not sure if the rec center itself is open yet. You'll have to do a little sleuthing of your own to determine that one. Go have fun and enjoy! We did!

My kids loved this park. Very cool style wild West play area as well as another area that has zip lines. One for small children which u can sit down in and enclosed seat. And a bigger style for the older kids. Lots of fun play areas. Very clean park

We used to come to this park all the time before they demolished it. The new version is super awesome! We were a little worried because my kiddos loved the wild west theme from the older version but they redid everything and the new wild west is even better! Soft grass, zip line, a toddler area. Jail, and lots of swings and slides!

This park was huge! Nice paths, plenty of different things to do. Surprisingly clean!
We got to see some of the sweet local makers booths at the 4 day holiday celebration.
