Not all ACE Hardware stores stock all items.
Went online for a metal 5 gallon gas can and the Almaden location was one of the few that stocked them in our San Jose area.
All the staff at Almaden Ace were beyond helpful and all with a smile.

Have been visiting this location as my local go-to hardware store for years! They have always had a great selection even though they operate out of a small space. The staff have always been super helpful. Especially clutch around the holidays as they always have a stocked seasonal range of lighting an hardware. Support your local hardware stores!

This is my go to hardware store in my neighborhood when I needed something quick like glue, screwdriver, plumbing stuff, gardening, etc. I even bought Christmas lights here. So far I have been able to find most stuff I needed without having to drive another 5 miles to Home Depot

Price tag never concerned me at this store

This Almaden Ace Hardware has been good to me. I can call ahead and ask if they have a specific plumbing part and they will go to the shelf and make sure that my visit is going to be a successful one. I like their nuts and bolts selection because everything is in bulk which takes up less floor space and offers more variety. I can get in and out of Almaden Ace Hardware pretty quickly--I appreciate that.

I wrote the above review a few months ago and I can report that they continue to do a great job. The person that helped me when I was there a couple days ago gave me great advice. He knew what he was talking about. In my opinion that's rare these stays. I can recommend Almaden Ace Hardware.

I picked up an online order at ACE a few weeks ago. It was seamless, they even brought the items out to my car which I appreciated in these COVID-times.
With Covid being over, I enter the store again. It's the perfect hardware store, not too big, not too small. :)

Well stocked store with many items not found at big box stores. Easy to get to and good service. I called for a special item and they put it aside for me. Special order items available and worked available to discuss the requirement.

A great local hardware store. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a question on paint that the guy wasn’t sure about, he radioed to the back and got us an answer.

It was so nice to walk into a real hardware store that actually carries hardware.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Takes 30 seconds for someone to ask you if you need help, and their solutions are usually spot on, unlike that other store that starts with HD. Sure, you aren't going to remodel your bathroom with Ace but if you need straight up hardware for spot fixes, this place does the job.

Had kerosene 1 for indoor use. Price didn't change buying more, that was the reason for 4 stars. But customer service was amazing in this store so went with 5 stars.

I stopped to get a key duplicated. While there I asked for advice. Both goals were met with professionalism and eagerness to make me satisfied. This is not my first visit and it will definitely not be the last.

Only store in the area that carried Wolman's Deck Brite which is easier on plants when cleaning up redwood fences and decks than the other acid or bleach briteners. Went across town to pick it up. It is amazing how much useful stuff they can get in that little foot print, and the help is great too. Also picked up some parts to install an auto-fill valve for my fountain, they had exactly the parts I needed.

The employees were very knowledgeable and helpful here, easy to find, and happy to help. Definitely a breath of fresh air from the big box stores, they earned my money from now on.

I purchsed an outdoor fire pit w/chairs from the Almaden Ace HW store. The set came in 2 very large and heavy boxes. Their local delivery truck & driver were not available, but Ryan volunteered to go home, get his SUV, and make the delivery. About 15 minutes after I got home, Ryan and another person unloaded the boxes and completed the delivery. I can't thank Ryan enough for the great customer service I received.

Great inventory for such a small store and I just love how helpful each and every employee is. Also they make returns and exchanges simple. Keep up the good work!
