I got the breakfast burger which is basically a burger with egg, lettuce, and mayo. The meat had really good flavor, as did the egg and bun. The lettuce was overpowering though, so I had to take some of it out since there was more than needed. It had a very slight kick to it, but I couldn't tell if there's a spicy mayo on it as well.

I waited about 10 minutes and paid $11. The size is what you'd expect and not too filling. For breakfast places open downtown, I'd definitely recommend, and I will be going back to try more.

Came on a Weds morning and ordered a summer breeze tea. Fairly busy and great service, amicable staff. Clean establishment with plenty of seating inside and outside. Really cool to see the owner build the space to complement that of the brick wall with rustic pipe book shelves, etc. Free 90 minute parking in city garage.

Liked this place, good all around. The scramble was great! The matcha strawberry was not sweet. The brown sugar hojicha was very sweet, and both were good. The breakfast burger was good for lunch, also don't forget the tater tots! They give you a good amount, so fill up your cargo pants and snack on them later.

Always a line out the door. The hype is believable! We were blown away with the flavor and taste 🤤

Brioche buns were being baked as we waited to pick up our order. Smells of fresh bake bread and other yummy flavors were all around the cute cafe.

Recommend to order online and then come when order is ready. When we got there, line is still long, lots of people waiting outside. There were some people who brought a picnic blanket and ate by the grass area. Wonderful idea!

Cute place. Much better location that the crowded one in LA. Food's just as good here. Had the breakfast sandwich with cheddar and the pink dream.

Went to the 80 S First street downtown SJ. I always order DoorDash from here but came in person this time. From the moment you step in you see the detail to make the space a cozy, warm, welcoming place inside a historic building! The Scramble and tots were on point, my go-to order! Wifey got the Chic, so much delicious fried chicken in it. I recently realized they bake their own brioche bun my goodness the quality of that bun is wonderful. Light fluffy carbohydrate goodness. Five stars!

Absolutely amazing little spot. The eggy was light and fluffy and oh so flavorful. The Chic stood out above everything else though. The Taiwanese spice chicken breast was the best tasting thing I've had all year. And it's all dark meat!

Really good food! If you don't know what the difference between normal and great scrambled eggs are this is the place to be.

The atmosphere is a little dark and there's not many tables on the inside.

As for the service, it's good! Sometimes, it seems confusing on who to talk to for extra sauce or where to place an order, but nothing major.

The chicken sandwich is so epically good. I wish I could have it every day. The egg and mashed potato cup was also delicious. What a great idea to serve it warm over toast!

Completely ignore the 3.5 rating on Google. Yelp is much closer to the truth of the matter!

You know when food speaks to you on almost a spiritual level and you want to tell everybody about how good it is?! I was comfortably expecting a solid experience because I love anything with eggs, especially eggs Benny, and I also love a good crispy chicken sandwich. So I got their version expecting an egg sandwich with some chicken. Well I got a massive perfectly crunchy, perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken sandwich that happened to have an egg on it. My point being very high-quality and the chicken was not an afterthought or a simple add on. Completely blown away! Even their bread is deliberately and carefully produced. Eat and buy local! You eat one of these and you will be convinced nothing else will ever compare again. Very filling as well! A+ plus.

My order was super fast, practically instant, and very tasty. I ordered breakfast scramble sandwich which comes on a super soft bun. They make the bread themselves apparently some kind of Taiwanese recipe. They close early so get here for breakfast or lunch. I’ll be back!

This place has super yummy sandos! I highly recommend trying out this place even just looking at the pictures of their sandos make me drool and I can promise you the taste lives up to it (if not exceeds)!

I went around 1pm on a Saturday and we ordered there and they said we would have to wait an hour for our sandos -_- yes I know but in my opinion it was still worth the wait. Either plan around it (do some groceries or walk around the area) or try to order online / on the phone ahead of time.

We got 2 of The Chic sandos and waffle fries on the side. I'd definitely say that the waffle fries was not the star of the meal and it was a good/decent side dish but I don't think I'd get it again.

The Chic has a nice brioche bun and inside has fried chicken with a sunny side up egg. The fried chicken was super crispy and the meat inside was so juicy. It tasted like taiwanese fried chicken which is the absolute best!

Would definitely come back! I want to try out their other sandos but don't know if I can resist not getting The Chic sando hehe it was too good!

Food was prepared fresh after we ordered. All four of us had The B.E.C. with a generous amount of bacon, perfectly runny egg and soft fresh buns. We are here on vacation and will be coming back here for breakfast each morning!

I Loved the BEC. When you take that first bite and release that warm yoke it's simply wonderfull. Waffle Fries and Totes. They had me at waffle fries. My wife had the Scramble and said it was excellent. The buns are all fresh and the taste was out of this world. We've repeated several times. We do take out and really appreciate how well they package the food up so the food stays warm. If you're in a hurry, don't be , order ahead. It's not quick if you order in person but worth the wait.

Food is great, the chic hamburger is delicious and the fried chicken is so crispy. This place is very popular so there is a waiting line, but absolutely worth it. 👍

Everything we ordered tasted amazing! I would recommend trying “The Chic” sandwich if it’s your first time here (I think this is probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had in a long time!!) Definitely planning on come back soon to try other things on the menu 😍

If you've had Eggslut, they got some similar items. Recommend getting The Chic, their chicken sandwich. Chicken was crispy and juicy, the batter seemed similar to Taiwanese fried chicken. Priced at $9 - go get some before they increase the price!

Food was GREAT! Service was fast and the staff was friendly and very patient. The Ultimate Sando was filling and very tasty. House coffee was outstanding. If u want a tasty breakfast that's served quickly, STOP HERE!

Best Chicken Sandos in town! We ordered the Chick, Strawberry matcha latte, and Hojicha latte. Everything was tasty. The chicken was so good. They have a nice outdoor patio as well.

They were pretty busy on a Sunday around 2pm, but there was no line to order the food. Food came out fast.

Chicken - big juicy and cooked perfectly, light on the batter
Sauce - classic slightly spicy aioli
Arugula - fresh and peppery

When I went there was a short wait to get my food but all good food has a wait.

This was the best chicken sandwich I've had in the Bay Area.
