Saw this restaurant mentioned amongst 2 others as home style simple good authentic Chinese food to have in my gmail feed of local San Jose news so went to try it. Author recommended Shrimp in Lobster Sauce & Mongolian Beef at this place. Located in a huge strip mall with Grocery Outlet & Dollar Tree. Huge parking lot.

Serves both Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines.

We had the lunch special (HUGE portions);
-Eggplant Beef in Garlic Sauce (extra spicy), has some oil, can't be helped as eggplant retains a lot of oil.
-Mongolian Beef (extra spicy) not oily at all!
Both were very good, not a hint of sweetness (though adult daughter prefers a tiny bit of sweetness in her food), crunchy firm veggies in Mongolian Beef (yum!).

Angie was our very kind waitress and she was sweet.

Next time will try their Seafood Chow Fun & Filet of Sole (non breaded) in Black Bean Sauce.

Let’s talk about their lunch special. It may be the best deal around, especially against chains like the panda X. you get freshly prepped dish plus rice and soup. so in many ways far superior deal. and it taste good. nothing to backflip over but its good, huge portions, and the broccoli was crisp, not limp. great meal in my opinion. check the video evidence!

Excellent taste and service. The Mongolian Beef was super tender and perfectly spicy. The hot and sour soup was spot on. Kung Pao prawns were yummy and fresh. I'm so glad I found this little gem. Bye bye panda express for good!”

The food was reasonably priced and the portions were huge. The staff was incredible too. Everyone was so nice.

Good service , lots of food served, try low lunch pricing to try their food, closed for employees lunch 3pm to 4 pm weekdays , please get menu from them or call for pricing my favorite items are sweet & sour chicken, cashew chicken, and egg rolls

Great lunch specials with generous portion sizes. Friendly service. I always come here with coworkers atleast once a week. The broccoli chicken or beef is my favorite. Their soups are amazing too. Highly recommend!

Every time we try to dine inside it's packed so the majority of the time we just order to go. Definitely a go-to place to satisfy your Chinese cuisine cravings!

Huge variety of menu choices to choose from & side dishes are delicious as well.

The food was amazing every every single bite of it.
The shrimp was fresh, the chicken was cooked, just right? Everything was delicious and they were always.
noticing if we needed anything, we didn't even have to ask for refills. For drinks, they were right on it.

They have the best Chinese food this part of town. Service is excellent as well.

The food was incredibly delicious. What really makes this restaurant special though is the service. The food arrives very quickly and the staff checks in on you constantly making sure you are enjoying your stay. I love coming here every time I am going home South from the bay.

My first time ordered to go, the gal picked up the phone was very nice, that is a good customer service skills, the food was great, way too much meat and good if you like lots of meat. Golden House Restaurant is my go to place for Chinese food. Thank you for making such a great food. Best fried chicken wings.

We went to Golden House to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We brought our own cake. When we arrived, they put the cake in the fridge. When we were ready, they added the candles, lit it and brought it to the table. Then they cut the cake and served it. Lastly, they took some great group pics of us. Super friendly, kind and very accommodating staff. We've been here before and we'll continue coming back. Thank you!

One of the few restaurants left in this area that had been here for a while, in this community. Let’s support them so our kids can enjoy them. Good prices, great portions and yummy flavor.

I just had the lunch special with garlic shredded chicken. It was excellent, it had onions, water chestnuts and bellpeppee cooked perfect with a generous amount of delicious sauted, unbreaded chicken. The price was very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this place and I will be coming back again.
