Both my dog Chevy and I received excellent care. I took her in for an emergency. She was diagnosed and then scheduled for surgery the next day. Both the staff and doctors kept me informed of all procedures that were being performed on her and did follow up calls to check on her recovery. I felt very confident that Chevy was treated well and any questions I had, would be answered day or night. I have used this hospital for my other dogs over the years and have found the same quality of care.

We drove over the hill to bring our little pup to the specialists at Pacific & Santa Cruz Vet. The vet I rescued Winston from was going to amputate his leg (broken ankle) because it wasn't healing. I was referred by another vet clinic because of the experts here. Dr Kalff was amazing. We had x-rays taken and he took out a pin that was stuck in my dogs joint. (Bad surgery by a non-qualified surgical vet). He said working on a small dog is like working on a birds wing. We will take Winston back next month to have the other pin removed that has moved as well. No amputation! My dog is 2 years old, so that was the best news ever! Brian, our surgical vet tech was fabulous! He took such good care of Winston. Keep in mind, they are busy - very busy, so keep your cool. We had everything done in 3 hours. Most vets would make you come back! It was worth the wait. Winston even got a lion bandage. Thank you all!

Can’t say enough good about Dr. Arbaugh & Dr. Stone’s 1-2 punch approach to our Bulldogs care. From the biopsy to removal to having a follow up treatment plan was a matter of 2 weeks. The fast action and ability to handle everything from the mystery lump to removal to the oncology care we are now on is amazing to have a 1 stop veterinary services. Not cheap but worth every penny. Pic of our charming boy in recovery.

I LOVE this hospital....they saved my cat's life twice! From the moment I called in the emergency I was treated so well! They told me to come in right away and they took my cat in and put her in the oxygen immediately while we were doing the paperwork. Dr. Brady saved my cat in June when I brought her in with congestive heart failure. She cares so much! She found just the right medications and treatment to stabilize her. Then in January my cat had a second emergency and Dr. Robeson was all I could ask for in a doctor. His assessment, treatment and recommendations are the reason Ami is still with me. We have a clear protocol now to follow so that she will be with me as long as possible. These doctors are skilled, thorough and caring, and in fact, I have nothing but good things to say about the office staff and the treatment staff. I am so grateful for this hospital!

The staff here is ALWAYS courteous and professional. I became a loyal customer here when I first brought a dog to Dr Macy for TPLO surgery. He has the absolute best "bedside manner". My dogs and I love him and I wish he did more than surgery. I have brought pups in at night for emergencies 3x and EVERY time, I have been met with compassion and professionalism. One night one of my dogs was attacked and had part of her ear almost ripped off. It was close to 10pm when I brought her in. The hospital was so busy with other very critical cases that my pup had to wait until the following day for care. It was stressful, but I understood. The vet was concerned that my pups ear would get necrotic and she wanted to remove it. I asked to please TRY and sew it together and save it. She did. I will be forever grateful, because it worked. The ear was stitched together very carefully, with tiny stitches and it healed BEAUTIFULLY. There are a few white hairs left, but you have to look closely to see that her ear was ever injured. I'm so grateful!

We arrived in the middle of night with our critically ill puppy who ingested a poisonous mushroom. The critical care team has worked day and night to save her life. Communication has been wonderful.

This past weekend I had to take my 20 year old cat Sadie to the hospital because we found an abscess. I worked with Dr. Shishida who was very thorough and able to determine what was wrong. The nursing staff and both front desk and back office were professional, considerate, and easy to work with. I do have faith in the staff here and while I hope to never come back again, I do trust them with my fur babies.

We had an extremely positive experience at Pacific and Santa Cruz veterinarian. We were referred there from our Vet in the northern peninsula, just outside of San Francisco with high recommendations. It did not disappoint, and it was well worth the travel to have our dog evaluated for possible surgery. The entire team from the check-in to the extended visit with the orthopedic surgeon was excellent. The surgeon explained things in detail after doing several clinical Tests, taking more x-rays and reviewing previous medical records. I would highly recommend Pacific and Santa Cruz.

Pacific and Santa Cruz saved my dog’s life. She was seriously injured and they treated her immediately, developed a treatment plan, took exceptional care of her for a few nights as an inpatient, and were wonderful for every follow-up visit. We saw so many of their team members throughout my dog’s recovery and everyone was just the best and truly care for all the animals that come through the doors. They let us come twice a day when she was inpatient to feed her (she would only eat for us), created custom bandage covers to keep her bandages dry at home, and were so attentive and caring to our girl. We are forever grateful to Dr. Macy and the entire team. Santa Cruz is lucky to have them!

No one ever hopes to use an emergency vet, but if you need one Pacific is the place to go. Everyone is so kind and compassionate and their communication is excellent. The care is top notch and the vets are honest about the best course of treatment. If it’s time for your fur baby to cross the rainbow bridge they give you as much time as you need to sit with them and say your goodbyes. Emergency vet services aren’t cheap, but they take deposits and are flexible about payment of your remaining balance.

I feel this hospital did everything they could to keep my dog alive. They ran many tests to figure out what was wrong. The communication was good. We were able to see our dog and go in the back to see where she was kept. The vets were compassionate and were very concerned about my pet.

I took our cat in around 12:30 pm the vet tech took him back immediately. Our cat was seen the veterinarian was so kind. Our baby was sent home with meds and he is acting normal again. The veterinarians and vet techs are great, kind and supportive.
Just before Christmas 2023 our 14 year old cat was very sick, they took her back immediately, diagnosed her and sadly she crossed over The Rainbow Bridge. They let us stay with her as long as we wanted to say goodbye. She is home with us now. The staff is so supportive and caring, especially for those that lose their fur babies.

I brought my cat last week for an appointment, and the whole staff were so helpful and attentive. Michelle got me scheduled with the correct specialist and helped me make sure I'd sent over all of the relevant documents before our appointment. Dr. Arbaugh and Brenda both took the time to discuss my concerns and were so kind to my (admittedly belligerent) cat Birdie. Today, Birdie had a drop-off appointment and I had no reservations about leaving her because I knew she'd be in great hands. I definitely recommend coming here if your pets need specialty or emergency care!

We couldn't be happier with the service at Pacific and Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialists. Our dog was experiencing a dangerous cluster of seizures, and the staff were all genuinely sympathetic and helpful. We have the pleasure of working with Dr. Sacha Curtis, and we were very impressed by the depth of her knowledge, and grateful for her rare ability to listen to our concerns, and answer all of our questions. We now feel assured that our dog is receiving the most effective drug regimen to combat a difficult seizure disorder.
We are very fortunate to have such a fine emergency veterinary facility in our area.

We recently had to rush our beloved dog Gem to Pacific and Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialist due to her being non-responsive with a low heart rate. The entire team at the center went above and beyond in providing exceptional care and support.

From the moment we arrived, they treated Gem with the utmost respect and professionalism. The staff kept us well-informed about her condition throughout the process, alleviating our anxieties during a challenging time.

We were pleasantly surprised that the final bill was lower than we anticipated, especially considering the level of care and attention Gem received. This experience reinforced our trust in Pacific and Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialists and we are grateful for their dedication to both pets and their owners.

Heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their compassion and expertise.

We took our puppy there, and we were seen on time by dedicated, professional staff that showed concern for us and our puppy. Dr. Stone and his staff were very pleasant and friendly. Dr. Stone explained things very well and put us at ease. We are returning for treatment.

Pacific did a GREAT job caring for my dog. My dog went to Pacific originally for a hip consultation, but unfortunately got attacked by another dog in the lobby as we were leaving (nobody could have seen it coming). Throughout this traumatic experience, everyone at Pacific & Santa Cruz Vet were extremely kind and supportive. They handled the situation really well and advocated for what was best for my dog. They took excellent care of him. Every single employee we encountered treated my dog with so much love and care. I would definitely recommend pacific to anyone who needs to take their pet to the ER.

Our girl was very sick, Dr Robison and team really took care of her to the best of their ability. Complete compassion and care was given to our cat Gypsy. We couldn’t thank the team enough for the service and care we were given through a very hard time. (They even let us have a private room to wait in) They also made all preparations for Gypsy to be put to rest, very simple and easy process. Thank you!
