Tasca Tasca - Portuguese Tapas and Wine Bar

1st time eating tapas. It was kind of different for me. The food was delicious. We went when they weren't that busy, so the server was very attentive. I would recommend going there and checking them out!

I am so fond of this place! The food is delicious, the interior is unpretentious and simple, waiters are friendly and helpful. What else can I say! Just check it out and you will be as charmed as I was. I absolutely recommend a cauliflower soup, it’s so creamy and delightful! Duck breast was awesome too, however I’d love to see more pickles to go with it. Mac and cheese was just right, salt cod was really salty, I’d not order this guys if I knew beforehand, otherwise everything was very good, really. I like the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant- people next to my table were joking about me taking pictures of everything, it felt comfortable and amicable. And that is exactly how you want to feel after a long day.

The experience of varied delightful morsels added up to feel like lots of food. Left full with 5 'plate' option and a glass of wine. All served together. Excellent choices of charcuterie, cheese, proteins and desserts. Squid and escargot cooked to perfection. Bacalhau (like bacaloa) croquettes savory crispy butter, used sauce with ham and bread too. Scallops were my favorite. Friendly staff, knowledgeable on wine recommendations. Accessible bathroom, entrance. no outdoor seating. Park at square and walk around the corner:)

Amazing find in Sonoma, just off the square. This place is unassuming, but authentic. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon at 2, and it was packed. We sat at the bar. This place is pulled straight out of Portugal, it's like an authentic pub in Portugal. Everything is small plates, but they are hearty items. Everything is delicious!! And the wines are all Portuguese as well. You HAVE to visit Tasca Tasca!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 10 different menu items we selected. All entrees are small portions. As you can see we place an extra order for Dungeness crabs empanadas to go, 1 comforting goat stew, chocolate tart, soup and more.

Came by for a good lunch and this place did not disappoint! Great ambiance and a nice variety of food with our favorites: smoked duck breast, Portuguese Mac and cheese and kale salad. It's a fun space with a bunch of kitchey decorations and friendly staff. Worth a visit!

Amazing lunch deals with delicious Portuguese tapas, food was great and service was fantastic! My favorites are the oysters, truffle potatoes, crab empanadas, and shrimp ceviche. House red and whites are solid too. Would definitely visit again!

Great place, cozy, with a European air. The food was delicious, my first time trying Portuguese tapas, and they were amazing!

This place was absolutely excellent! We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all fantastic. It was reasonably priced as well. We split about 21 small plates among 4 people with drinks and it was less that $100 per/person.

A few highlights included: the cheese medley, the duck breast, and the steak tartare. I would reorder everything though.

My only suggestion for improvement would be that the servers weren't very knowledgeable about the menu.

Fun tapas dining. Bocarones, anchovies, chicken wings, kale salad. Need to return for the pigs ears & other goodies. Staff was delightful but hygiene was lacking as they handled food right after dealing w cash.

We had a wonderful dinner at Tasca Tasca. Everything we ordered was delicious, but we particularly loved the crab empanadas and the bacalhau. Our server was so helpful and knowledgeable. He was very patient as we took our time making up our minds, and he answered many questions for us. The cocktails were delicious, and we had a nice bottle of wine (and our server allowed us to taste two different wines to help us decide). I would definitely eat there again!

One thing to note about the atmosphere is that, like many restaurants these days, it gets very loud. Not everyone will mind that, but it was a bit hard for my parents to hear and converse until some of the other tables near us cleared out.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an extraordinary Portuguese tapas restaurant, and I must say, it was quite an experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and offered some great recommendations on what to try.

The tapas themselves were simply fantastic. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.

But what really set this restaurant apart for me was the wine list. They had an incredible selection of Portuguese wines, many of which I had never heard of before. Our server was happy to offer some guidance on which wines would pair well with our meal, and we were not disappointed.

Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food and wine were outstanding, and the service was some of the best I've ever had. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

The tapas was fabulous and the service was very commendable.
We got the crab empanadas, the squid salad, Perri Perri potatoes, steak tartare, striped bass ceviche, Portuguese flan, Olive oil ice cream and a few Quinas beers (thirsty from a trail run before this)
The food was not heavy and I left a very happy diner. Highly recommend and I will be back to try out the other pork tapas they have.

Good food, good times and good service, makes for a nice dinning experience. Our son and daughter in law took us while we were visiting them because they really like it and wanted us to have the experience.

I kind of like the unknowns at this place, because they add to the ambiance. The food is always as advertised, so listen to the servers. I'm getting the goat stew next time for sure.

What an amazing experience. If you skip this restaurant, you are missing out. The selection was wonderful and some of the best food we have had this trip. Karen was a wonderful server and made an excellent Sangria. She provided an experience that matched the quality of the food and the presentation was on point.

Just had the most fantastic unexpected meal I’ve enjoyed in some time. Having spent some time in Portugal, Tasca Tasca brings authentic Portuguese home to Sonoma. The Tosta Mista with Serrano ham, Dungeness crab empadas, scallops, oysters and much more are out of this world. The Portuguese wines are superb. Service was best in class. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

The food, the service and ambience is excellent. I went to Tosca, Tosca for lunch. Yet for me the portions of food are minimal for the price. I’m not a fan of skimpy portions, especially regarding hearty foods like soups, potatoes, etc. And, while I can appreciate a rustic look to an ambiance, I think paying a fancy price for something routine and common is not my idea of dining out. Empanadas are delicious and a distinct aspect of Spanish/Portuguese food. But I was a little disappointed that the crab- filled empanadas were so small and overcooked. I did enjoy the house wine. This restaurant does make the effort to provide a family-owned Portuguese restaurant experience. But the impression I got was that effort was subdued and not forthcoming. Perhaps I need to go back for dinner?

Traditional and re-imagined Portuguese cuisine in a cozy and comfortable spot with friendly and attentive service. The 5 or 7 tapas offering is a fun experience for two. The fish options are terrific, and don't miss the peri peri potatoes. The pork sliders were amazing according to my wife. The lengthy Portuguese wines, ports and Madeira's is unmatched. Be adventurous in your choice, and you won't be disappointed.
Somewhat tight seating, but makes it like a large family gathering.

My Wife and I had a great time as first-timers at this cool, quaint restaurant! First off Kimberly was so on-point and helped to adjust our reservations TWICE due to us running late. Andreas and another young lady were the best hosts! The food was good, background music was timely, and we can't wait to return!
