Palermo Restaurant Italian Cucina

Wife brought me here for our anniversary and it was a great place. Great good and amazing service. We will come back again.

The food was excellent. I forgot how big the calzones were and was only able to finish 1/2 of it. The server was nice and remembered a few faces from our large group. Small restaurant in downtown. Never would’ve known it existed had it not been for my sisters. If you ask, they can make a kids size plate of pasta.

First I would like to point out that this is just a review of my experience at this place. The service a great, our waiter was there all asking if we need it anything and removing place as they became available. The restaurant is clean, clean toilets and friendly staff. The food is what most people say this place is known for and they all were right. The food was delicious, big portions and they come right away. They very accommodating and we truly enjoy the place. Now couple of things to keep I mind one is location, the parking lot and location of the restaurant is questionable, by all mean do not let this stop for trying this place but I do mention it because I think you should be aware. There are no fountain drinks, so for those that like to drink soda, they are all served as caned sodas (no refills). Besides those things a mention this place is a hidden gem that you at least give them a try, as the food and service may help overlook the location. As for me i hope I will see you around.

Terrific neighborhood Italian eatery! Great service and delicious food. The hot homemade bread is such a great touch; one of those simple things that more restaurants should do. The portions are amazing… you can give the cook in your life two nights off because there will be leftovers! Everything came to the table hot and tasty!

Has the spinach and cheese ravioli and got lost in the sauce! Definitely recommend! Also there bread... Get baskets of the bread!

Our favorite Italian food in the entire valley. The waitress is excellent as is the food! We always bring family & friends here because we know they will enjoy the good food!

Been here twice now and i will be coming back again. They have great customer service, the bread they serve when your going threw the menu is very soft and warm. The dishes I have tried have both been very delicious. The desserts are also good. I had a creme brulee and it was a good size portion. Nice place to bring your family or a date. The average tab for one person is around 20-30 bucks not including wine.

Authentic Italian food. We had couple of vegetarian pasta and they both were delicious. Very friendly staff and fast service.

Four of us went out for dinner here last night. The service was prompt. Their bread is great and addictive. Two had calzones which were generous, tasty and well cooked. One had chicken parmesan which was delicious along with a generous portion of spaghetti. Instead of my usual favorite for Italian Restaurants, eggplant parmesan, I had spinach and cheese ravioli with pesto sauce. It was very good, but only 4 raviolis, see picture. Good thing I could get filled up on the bread.

I love the home made bread, hot, fresh, and on the olive-balsamic-herbs matches really good. They take time for your order, but it worths. The lasagna this time was great! They have the cream brûléeee!. In my opinion the service is nice. It is a cozy place, and you don’t suspect a nice place will be there, but it is.

I love supporting the businesses in my neighborhood. They are friendly, the cuisine is excellent and they enjoy serving the Westside of Modesto

Absolutely delicious. Everyone in our group finished their plate which were all hefty servings. We'd be ashamed but it was too good.

Good service, nice staff. Food were surprisingly good. Tried the Gnocchi with parma ham, minestrone, calm chowder. Highly recommend in the area of Modesto.

The waitress Shay is the best out there. Very friendly and excellent memory the best.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner — the food was excellent, as was the service. Easy parking and access off Hwy 99. Many have complimented the lasagne — and it was very good. We also tried a dish we hadn’t heard of before, and it did not disappoint. It’s a “mom and pop” shop and definitely worth the trip.

I love this place, the food is ample and well prepared in a classic setting. Offerings include massive dinner plates with mashed potato and fresh vegetables and substantial pasta dishes. Jerusalem chicken is a favoriteof mine, as are the crab cakes in their amazing warm lemon caper sauce. Kudos to the cooks. Palermo feels like a well kept secret, blocks from the downtown Modesto food scene proper. I've always had the same server and she's friendly and personable, with excellent recommendations. Beer and wine only so have those cocktails before you come.
