The best carbonara you will ever have. Perfectly cooked. The pesto dish here is a special and it’s a ricotta pasta flour gnocchi (no potato). Unbelievable

The best place ever!! Cook to order and it's just like you're walking into your Italian mum's place. Kimmy and her husband and staff make you feel at home. Food is amazing it's worth it. My boss Sandra Leland 89 years old has been coming here since this place has been opened so it says alot. And I've experienced it and it's pretty amazing basically extraordinary food and just wonderful people.

Probably the best restaurant in the area - we love Mamma T’s for many reasons - the owners, the coziness, the owners (lol), the convenience, the consistency - but mostly because the food is so darn good that I am regularly dreaming about it. Specifically, the eggplant Parmesan ... and the pan-fried mozzarella ... and the burrata... omg and the cannoli is to die for. The Italian montepulciano is delicious and the coffee is even great. If I could eat here three times a week and not gain weight, I would do it in a heartbeat. Yum. Divine. Gaetano you are a master Italian chef! You and Kim make us smile for days every time we come in.

This restaurant was a recommendation from a local that worked at a winery we went to. If you are in Sonoma do yourself a favor and check this place out. Hands down the best authentic Italian food we have had. Everything was fresh and homemade. The owner is also the chef. The menu is small but everything we had was superb. It was like we were sitting in a little restaurant in Italy.

This is a homey, cozy, simple place for a casual dining. There were three of us and we one of our choices was awesome- the meat was so soft and tender that it was just melting in the mouth. Clam linguine and bolognese pastas were pretty good as well. The restaurant is very popular among locals and certainly worth checking it out.

So yummy. Had the pork chop. It was perfect. Others at the table had the sole and loved it. Relax the pace it great. The owner waits in you and she is terrific.

This restaurant is our second home. The ambiance is pure Italian delight. The food is OUTSTANDING! The brilliant chef prepares each meal with so much care and love! The best Italian food outside of Italy! (Maybe within the country also!)

This was the first time I had eaten at mamma taninos. We arrived there on Sunday night at about 7 p.m. Upon entering we were greeted with hospitality. We were happy that we were able to dine there without a reservation. There was only two of us, I would suggest to get reservations. A place was full of happy people talking and eating. The servings are very generous and the prices are reasonable. My companion got a pasta with shrimp which was fantastic. I ordered the veal in a mushroom cream sauce with fresh steamed vegetables on the side.. We were given our drinks and a small loaf of bread with some garlic olive oil.
When our food arrived we were awe-stricken at the large servings and the fresh smell of pasta!
The food was fantastic. I will be sharing with my friends about this fantastic find. I will be going back for dinner this week.

What an absolute treasure. The infused olive oil started off the experience and then every course just nailed it. The calamari, carbonara, Bolognese and pork chop Marsala were phenomenal. If you are looking for ok Italian food skip it because this place is nothing less than fantastic. Strongly recommend. Apparently only open on the weekends currently so plan accordingly.

Not only is the food absolutely fresh and delicious but the proprietors are wonderful! I was feeling very down due to some health issues with my father. I felt is if I had walked into not only a place of nourishment but also a place of sanctuary and nurturing.Thank you ladies for such a wonderful dinner on Sunday. I will not forget your kindness. I left feeling much better than when I walked in. My pasta was fantastic. The wine and the cake and even the bread were all delicious! Most of all again I will not forget your kindness and will return!

I don't even like Italian food, but this restaurant is amazing! I will definitely be back. We were a large group (9 people) so had a chance to sample many dishes from the appetizers to desserts. Not a single dish was average. Everything tasted great and was made from scratch. Even the olive oil that is provided with fresh baked bread was simply the best I've ever had. If you are in town, this place is a must eat!

If only there were more restaurants like this, the world would be a better place. My only complaint is Google won’t let me give it more than 5 stars, it deserves like 8. Outstanding food quality that you would be hard pressed to find in many famed Italian restaurants, including in Italy. The food quality is matched, if not exceeded, by the warm hospitality of Kim and her team. Not a single item we ordered was below wow, and we ordered almost everything. It’s simple, great, hearty Italian food. Don’t let the strip mall location and anything else stop you.

Google reviews did not disappoint! Came here on a work conference all the way from St. Louis. The restaurant was very friendly and the wait staff very knowledgeable. My husband had the veal Parmesan and I Had the seafood linguine. Place was an a++ in my book and a little Italian hidden gem!

Absolutely the best dining experience ever. This soulful and authentic Italian cuisine and ambiance, along with the charm and personal care by the owners couldn't be better. And yes, the Chicken Marsala was just amazing!!!! This is the real deal.

Hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten (and I lived in NY so I’ve eaten a LOT of Italian food) ... Gaetano (and his charming wife Kim) have made this place a staple for our family. The food is consistently perfect. We’ve never had anything but a stellar meal at Mamma Tanino’s. The eggplant Parm is the best I’ve ever had. If you can get the malfatti it’s fantastic - as is the pan fried mozzarella and the off-the-hook polenta with mushrooms and truffle oil. Everything is amazing including the cannoli which is the most authentic Italian cannoli I’ve experienced. Love, love this place! GO!

The food is freshly made, exquisite tasting sauces and mouth watering entree. The wine list has great choices (I had a Chianti, if I remember correctly, from Italy) with moderate prices. I also had dessert (Terramasui) which was also very good. The owner is the chef, and his wife serves. They are really small, family owned, busy but not too long of a wait. It is clean and comfortable. It is a great place to eat if you want something that tastes really good and don't want just another mediocre meal. Perfect for singles or a date or a small dinner get together. Location is kind of funky, in a strip mall, but it IS Sonoma, and only 1/2 a mile from downtown Sonoma. Parking is not always accessible, but you can get a space to park if you are patient and go around one time in the lot. I give the place a 4.6 food, 4 service, ambiance 3, location 2.9

A local family run restaurant. Food fresh and obviously made with love and pride.Glad they made it through pandemic. Best call ahead. Personally I'm in love with their pastas. Ceasar came saw and was conquered. Good friendly eats and folk.
