Sunshine House Preschool Martinez

Three of my kids have gone to sunshine house and we absolutely love it there. The teachers have treated our kids like their own. They are all so welcoming and our kids love them all. My kids have learned so much during their time there and love going to school. They love circle time and playing in the amazing backyard area. The team at Sunshine House has great communication and is wonderful at answering all questions. I would recommend Sunshine House to everyone. Finding a preschool/daycare can be so stressful but we’ve had nothing short of an amazing experience with Sunshine House. We cant wait for our next little one to go there.

We love Sunshine House Preschool Martinez. Both of my daughters attended Sunshine House Preschool Martinez, and we've been there for more than 2 years. What we like best about Sunshine House Preschool Martinez is the teachers. They are truly wonderful and care about the children. The school's focus on professional development ensures the teachers are current on the latest trends in education, plus we've experienced very little teacher turnover. We've had many of the same teachers through years and of course some great new ones! During our time at Sunshine House Preschool Martinez, we've gotten to know many families who have been there for as long as we have if not longer, Sunshine House Preschool Martinez is an awesome community we recommend.

5 stars for sunshine house! This place has been such a blessing for me and my 2 children. They both attended from 2-5 years old. The team here are all so caring and playful. My kids have always come home telling me stories of their teachers. I can tell they have admiration for them and feel very safe here. Shout out to Ms. Ana, Ms. Trish, Ms. V, and the rest of the wonderful teachers. The facility itself is very clean and organized - it truly feels like a home away from home. We love the backyard. It is spacious with climbers, sandbox and tons of outdoor activities.
I cannot thank all the staff enough for having such a positive impact on my children in their most developmental years.

We love Sunshine House! Both of our children have gone to multiple years of preschool there and they have truly blossomed socially, emotionally, and educationally. We feel that Sunshine House absolutely prepared our children for kindergarten. Moreover, the teachers are very loving and supportive of the kids. I highly recommend Sunshine House for your pre-schooling or TK needs.

We started my son in August and he has overcome challenges and progressed well. He is very accustomed to his teachers and enjoys his learning activities. He shares new words he's learned with us each day. He brings back fabulous art work and has become increasingly creative. Recommend Sunshine Preschool for your kids. Great staff!

We started at Sunshine House this past August and my daughter has really blossomed there. Her language has developed significantly along with her interest in art and pretend play. The teachers are all very kind and helpful and she is so happy to go each day. She's made several little friends who she talks about when she comes home. I also appreciate how much time the kids get outside - there is a good balance of structured time and play. Which I think will really help her prepare for grade school. But the fact they focus really on developing good humans is important to me. I can see my daughter starting to develop empathy and I do think it contributes to the environment and teachers she interacts with at Sunshine House.

Sunshine house has been amazing! Both my children are attending. As a teacher myself , I know how important the people are who work with our young children. I value the teachers at sunshine house. They are always upbeat, energetic, kind and look like they genuinely love their job! Sunshine house is on the high of our budget for child care but it’s been so worth it to know my children are learning amazing things and cared for!

Our daughter has been going to Sunshine house for almost a year now. She loves the teachers, staff and her classmates.

She came home everyday with love and new things that she learned at Sunshine house.

What I love most about Sunshine house as a parent is how they value feedback and engage parents for activities such as family breakfast, pizza night etc.

I would highly recommend Sunshine House who is looking for pre-schools.

The Sunshine House in Martinez is absolutely wonderful. The staff is great and both of my children who have gone there LOVE them! I'm sure my 3rd will love them as well (as soon as he's ready for preschool). I really can't say enough great things about the Sunshine House! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

First couple months were rough for my daughter to adjust to not being with family, and being around new people. After she got comfortable with everyone there, she LOVES IT HERE. She's not an angel... She has a very sassy personality(No idea where that came from), but also very sweet. All of the teachers are so good with her and I wouldn't choose any other preschool for her to go to.

My daughter absolutely loves Sunshine house. After visiting several schools we decided to enroll our daughter into Sunshine house because of the teachers and curriculum. The teachers are young, fun, loving, knowledgeable and experienced. From the first visit, I felt the connection between my daughter and the teachers at Sunshine House. They are so loving and you can tell they love what they do. We love how our daughter is constantly stimulated with the curriculum. Each day she comes home excited to tell me what she did at school and show me her artwork/schoolwork. Every week there is a new theme, there are luncheons and the children get to enjoy pizza nights (parent date nights)! She truly looks forward to each day. I strongly recommend Sunshine House and will be happily enrolling my 2nd child this fall!

You will not find better teachers anywhere else. Sunshine house has become like family. My favorite part about Sunshine house is that the children aren't just being watched like a day care, they are learning! My 6 year old daughter started going to Sunshine house when she was 2, it got to the point where she was going full time & it still wasn't enough for her! She absolutely loved it there. When we had her first parent/teacher conference with her now kindergarten teacher she said to my husband & I, "I don't know what program you had her in before this but whatever it was it fully prepared her for kindergarten!" We already knew that, but the fact that it reflected in her abilities at school says a lot about Sunshine house. My 2 year old son who is currently attending Sunshine house has had a harder time being left at school which has been tough for me but the teachers have really helped him make huge improvements everyday. They are incredibly nurturing & understanding which has helped make his transition so much easier now! I look forward to them working their magic on him like they did for my daughter. Having my kids attend Sunshine house has been the best decision we have ever made, I recommend them to everyone I know!

We love Sunshine House for our daughter! She flourishes there with the curriculum and love that is shown and taught! We are so thankful for the opportunity to have her learn from all the wonderful teachers! My daughter just recently had to take her kindergarten assessment evaluation and the teachers were so impressed by what she knew at her age ! Thanks sunshine house I highly recommend Sunshine House to everyone! Putting our daughter there was the best decision we ever made! Our son will start there next year once he turns 2!

Our daughter started Sunshine House 3 years ago, and has made such wonderful friends and has learned so much! She loves the variety of learning she gets from being outside to the learning/table times, and looks forward to each new theme of the week. She is always excited about pajama and family breakfast day, and begs to go to pizza night. We love pizza night too - she's with her friends and teachers and we get an evening to ourselves!

The teachers at Sunshine House are fantastic. I get an update from at least one teacher each afternoon, and my daughter is greeted as soon as she walks in the door in the mornings. I feel comfortable checking in with any of the teachers as they are all super approachable and in constant communication with each other.

Our youngest daughter recently started and the Sunshine House director made sure to check in with me throughout the first day, including a sweet written report of how her day went, and a follow up during her second week. She transitioned very quickly to the Sunshine House routine and is happy as soon as we walk in the front door.

We couldn't recommend Sunshine House enough :)

My daughter is going to sunshine house school since she was 2 years old. When she started going here, she had hardly known English but the teachers made sure that there was smooth transition for her. She was comfortable within 3 weeks. The facility is always kept nice and clean. The teachers are very responsible and organized among themselves. My daughter loves her school very much as she looks forward for the weekends to get over soon. She will definitely miss this school when she joins K this year. Honestly, we feel that we made the best decision by sending her to sunshine house.

Our daughter has been at Sunshine House for the past year and a half and we love it! When we first toured Sunshine House, I knew this was the spot I wanted her to go. It's been so awesome to see how much she has grown since first starting there at 2. Our daughter tends to take a while to warm up to new environments and with the help of the caring teachers there, she has really come out of her shell. We love hearing her talk about her friends and teachers and what she's learned at school. The program, facility, teachers are all wonderful! Highly highly recommend!

Our 2 year old daughter has been going to Sunshine House for about 3 months now & we couldn’t be happier! We chose Sunshine House immediately after our first visit as we knew it was the right establishment for our daughter. We were impressed with how caring & attentive all the teachers are & the overall cleanliness of the place. Our daughter is constantly learning/growing each day & we’ve noticed a huge difference in her development since she started. She comes home singing songs, counting, naming colors/shapes, shows off her artwork & proudly tells us how much fun she had. The teachers are also all very amazing & our daughter constantly talks about them. We’ve been raving about Sunshine House to everyone & 2 of our friends are already on the waitlist!

I would highly recommend Sunshine house for a multitude of reasons, but mainly because of their AMAZING staff. To me, there's nothing more reassuring than knowing that your child is not only physically, but especially emotionally safe. While I believe their small, homey, stimulating school environment and curriculum has played a very important role in my daughter's amazing development the past 2 years, I'm positive her teacher's genuine concern for her well being (as well as mine!) was the key factor.

I lost count of the times their calm and positive attitude helped calm my daughter down whenever she was having a rough morning and didn't want to stay in school... or when she was about to throw a tantrum because she didn't have "baby"( her lovey)... or when they'd help me get my daughter settled so I could keep my little one in the car whenever my back acted up making drop off and pick up very challenging (I have an active 1 year-old) ...or when they helped me potty train her( those amazing reward necklaces!)...Not to mention all they times they showed amazing patience and understanding with my overall stress and forgetfulness post-c section. These teachers truly love what they do and it shows! Every time I meet people like them, I feel hopeful for a better future for our children!

Our family goes through a lot on a regular basis, especially since we have no family around. Sunshine House has been a blessing in our lives in so many different ways! We just can't wait until our little one can start in Sept:)

My family has been at Sunshine House for 2 years now and I have not had one regret leaving my child with them. They have wonderful, caring teachers. Their center is always clean. They offer fabulous activities both structured and unstructured. The kids are never bored.....there are tons of learning opportunities for them. We had our son at another daycare before we found Sunshine House and he was not exposed to the learning opportunities that my daughter has at Sunshine House. They are working with her on writing her name, letters and numbers. I am confident that she will be more prepared for kindergarten than my son was. Twice a year Sunshine House does evaluations on all the children and as a parent, I am able to be apart of my child's learning process, even at this young age.

Not only does Sunshine House provide great childcare, but they do so much more than that. They really treat the children they care for and their parents like family. They host several family events through out the year like Cookies with Santa, Pictures with the Easter Bunny, Daddy Day BBQ, Mother's Tea etc. Each month they host a kids luncheon that some how includes the monthly theme and once a month, if not twice a month they host a pizza night. Pizza night = Date night for Parents!!! My kids love it, they know that they get to go to Sunshine House, have fun with friends, eat pizza, do arts and crafts and watch a movie and the parents get a nice 5 hours to relax and eat dinner. I love it b/c I know that my children are being cared for properly and are having fun.

We have a little over a year left at Sunshine House and I am already a little sad about leaving. They are truly a top notch daycare center. I am so glad we found them and made the switch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a local daycare center that is clean, has great teachers, is involved, is fun and is a safe place for your child to stay. We attend their Martinez center, but thankfully, they are also located in Brentwood and Oakley too.

I love this school. After staying at home for 3 years with my daughter and 2 years with my son, it was hard for me to transition to sending them to school. Sunshine house made me feel very confident about and comfortable with leaving them there. When we first visited the school, the kids made themselves right at home and went off to play. This is not typical of my usually cautious kids. They felt so at home there, so at ease. I knew it was the right place for them. The teachers are awesome and I know each one of them really cares. They create a warm, homelike environment there. My son and daughter are learning so much there. Sunshine house is beaming with love. It's been two years that both children have been attending and I couldn't be more happy with the teachers, the facility, and the happiness the kids experience there.
