Alvarez Ninth Street Park

Really pretty little park with a small jungle gym, swings and a beautiful view from the beach located down a short path. This was my first time going here and I will definitely be back. Great place to bring small children or enjoy this beautiful weather and have a picnic ❤

This is the place to go if your looking for a nice spot to cool down thats not too far from home. It is the delta so keep that in mind when heading out for a swim, but the shore is nice and sandy and almost the entire cove stays pretty shallow. The tide isnt too extreme, so even tho there are a lil bit of waves for the kiddos to ride, momma dont have to worry about her babies getting sucked out into the ocean. We go there almost on a daily when it gets real hot out, as Benecia pretty much stays 20 degrees cooler than everywhere else in the Bay Area.

My wife and kids love this park. It is perfect. Nice playground, plenty of parking, grass, sitting space, a spot to play volleyball and a breathtaking view of the Carquinez Bridge and let's not forget the sunset that comes with it when the time is right. You also have access to the water to walk on or go swimming. I highly recommend this park. Do bring a sweater though, it can get a little windy and chilly.

Clean park with a kids playground. Also, there’s a trail that leads to a small beach. Lots of benches and space to watch the sunset. Spacious parking lot that’s not usually too quiet. There are homes right overlooking the park so it’s good to be mindful of the noise.

My kids love coming to this park. Beautiful views, nice little beach, nice place all around. I always stop on my way home from visiting in the Bay Area!

I love this place!! A hidden gem of the bay area. I've been coming here for over 20 yrs now and although the restaurant is gone, I'm certain a new one will pop up eventually.

Park is clean and well kept. My daughter had a great time playing and she is 1.5 years old. A total bonus that there is a small beach right next to the park. We played at the park until she was no longer interested then went to the beach after for a picnic.

1st time going here. We all enjoyed this place. The kiddos loved it. Will be back definitely!

It was really nice the water is really shallow really safe for kids I'd only say don't be a fool like me and go in bare foot. Bring some water shoes or something some areas have some rock I got small cuts on my feet. It's really beautiful went there for my birthday.

Absolutely beautiful, it is peaceful and clean. The weather was beautiful, bathrooms clean and safe parking. Boat launch and beautiful homes all around. Perfect for a peace of mind stop.

Great place to go to relax, go to the beach, swim, walk, bike, jog, walk the dog, sail boarding, sailing, launch a boat, many activities in one place. Great for all ages.

It's a beautiful park with tons of grass and a play structure for the kiddos. Right around it is a jogging path that lots of people use to walk around and enjoy the view of the bay and the bridge. If you walk toward the willow tree you can walk down to the beach and skip stones with the kiddos. We've done some exploring of the dock and under the flag pole when the tide is low.

Nice area for bringing kids or family here. It has a lil beach (although not the nice sandy type, but its not rocky), grass area, beach volleyball court, 2 small BBQ grills, kids play equipment, restrooms, parking. Plus a certain houses with garden to look at along the side.

This is a really lovely little place. It's clean and very quiet kept tucked inside of a coastal neighborhood in Benicia. There's a play area with picnic tables and grass and the beach is down below. There's also a full on pier where you can go fishing and a boat slip. A great place to come and clear your mind or with friends and family. I highly recommend!

We had our puppy at the park for some training. It is such a beautiful park and so well maintained. The location right at the edge of the bay. the breeze was delicious on this otherwise hot day. The facilities are amazing including vollyball, grassy areas and of course a beach, although the beach is not for dogs!

I found the location easily. Bathrooms were very nice. I visited the Benicia Outrigger Club and had a great workout in the eight mile paddle.😁

Nice calm water to swim in. Beautiful view, and a playground too.

Flawless area to embrace the 🌇 sunset overlooking the bay... literally, "sitting on the dock of the bay"...
