Good Day Cafe

Great local place for casual breakfast diner fare. I especially love their bacon fried rice, and I never fail to order them as a side for whatever breakfast platter I have a craving for that day. They also have a unique take on pancakes. You can have them as a regular pancake or have them thin like a crepe with crispy edges. My usual go-to platter will be their chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, which is usually nice and thick and made with pork sausage like how it's supposed to be. Highly recommended!

I am usually very strict on restaurants in my reviews but this one really got me…. Honestly… I didn’t expect this kind of level of food quality and service… this one was probably best vegan omelette that I ever had in a very long time… I couldn’t believe that I actually found this place. I’m definitely coming back next time !!!!!

I am a big supporter of local businesses and this place for sure is one of my family's favorite breakfast spots. The location is in the heart of Vallejo 's downtown area. The place has indoor & outdoor dining which is nice if you don't want to be inside. My husband's favorite breakfast dish is Cristina's Country Skillet and for me, it's Remy's Short Stack w/ eggs & bacon. I love their signature mugs with the cute quotes on the other side as well. I highly recommend this place for some good eats!

Centrally located in the heart of downtown right next to the Alibi clock. Good Day Cafe serves great breakfast and lunch items. You have got to try the fried rice with one of the scrambles. Love the hot chocolate with whipped cream. Caring and friendly staff serve you well. Outdoor seating available. Free street parking. Clean and fresh gender neutral restroom. The entrance is ♿ with a handrail and ramp inside. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Nice quiet place at 9am on a Sunday. Food portions & quality were great. We would definitely recommend this place

Came here to meet friends for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised that the food matched my expectations of a great diner, Decent portions, warm, to hot food and a fair price.

I would say that this is a neighborhood gem. Interior had interesting paintings hung up, carpeted and spacious. The place was busy and the noise level was fine. We didn't have to yell or ask someone to repeat what they said.

I ordered the country fried steak. The eggs came out the way I ordered, hash browns crispy on the outside, and the steak was tasty as well as the gravy. The portion size was the perfect size for me, not too small or big. I can see why they were voted the best breakfast in town.

The staff was friendly and seemed happy with what they were doing.

I definitely recommend going there; I will visit again and I live 35 minutes away with lots of eateries around me, in addition, I have to pay the toll.

I went on a weekday; I couldn't find street parking and the parking lot behind the restaurant was convenient, $2 for 2 hours. Just remember your license plate when using the machine to pay for the parking.

Best breakfast ever, and I am a retired breakfast chef and restaurant owner. The crab omelet was sublime and corned beef hash was totally on point. Excellent service as well!

Yum! We got there about a little over an hour before closing. Not busy. Plenty seating outside and close parking. Employee Jonathan was awesome. He was helpful, positive and attentive. Good day plays great music! Food was very good. Got fried chicken, eggs and potatoes could not find it on the menu but I saw a picture and asked. Second meal was chicken & waffles. Tried the biscuits and gravy and took a bread pudding to-go. Would definitely go back.

Make sure you call ahead and make sure you get on the waiting list. Took us about 40 minutes to get a table. Understandable with current conditions. Service was great, vibe was on point with the jams they were playing. Food came out fairly quickly and it tasted soo good. My son declared this his favorite waffle place.

The wife and I tried breakfast here. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was outgoing and helpful. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. We left the restaurant satisfied and planning to return. I recommend giving this spot a try.

Cristina's country skillet with gravy is the bomb! Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery! Yummy! This wasn't my first time there and I would highly recommend it! My favorite place for breakfast for sure... Going there this weekend for sure!

When I resided in the Fairfield/Suisun area Bab’s Delta Diner was my go to spot for breakfast! But after moving to Vallejo some years back I found this gem in Downtown Vallejo! Service is always on point and the food is poppin! This is my fam’s go to destination for breakfast. Plus my kids love the goodie’s bask Good Day Cafe has for the kids after the meal is over! The pancakes and country potatoes are bomb! Loves me some Good Day!

Was hesitant about visiting after reading some of the reviews. Took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Remy was our waitress and she was absolutely AMAZING…her superior customer service was greatly appreciated! We were there for breakfast and the portions were plentiful and delicious. The hostess (didn’t get her name) was just as amazing! I will come back if ever in the area again. Give them a visit.

Great breakfast! The potatoes are de-lish! Very fun and warm staff. This feels like a staple for locals who have been in Vallejo for a long time, so you know it's a winner!!

Cozy place with a very smiling and educated team. Low prices. Accessible to deficient people. Good place to start your day and bring children. Easy to find, on a principal street. Easy to parking.They accept credit cards. See you on the next trip!

One of the best veggies scrambles I’ve had anywhere. Hashbrowns were actually overcooked as I asked for, which a lot of places have trouble with. I wandered in right at closing and they still stayed to serve me for carry out.

I mod’d the veggie omelet into a scramble, subbed black olives in place of tomatoes, added the VEGGIE SAUSAGE, and pepper jack cheese. ON POINT: Cooked just right and flavor balance was awesome. Cornbread with honey butter on the side and a fresh unsweetened ice tea.

Would absolutely return if I’m in the area.

We were actually going to another brunch spot, but it ended up being close that day and notice this brunch spot was open nearby so we decided to go. The place had a lot of people and when you sit down there's a mug that had positive quote, a great way to start the morning. I ordered the Denver, which consists of egg, onion, pepper and I added american cheese to it. For the sides they had fried rice so I decided to get it. When the food came out the portion size was huge! The fried rice side was very interesting the sauce that came with it they had was a sour and a hint of ginger taste and bits of onion. I poured all of it in so it was really strong, but it was still pretty good that I ate it most of it. I think if I didn't pour all the sauce in it would of been perfect. Overall, it was such a positive and wholesome brunch to start the day.

Some of the best food I've had. The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly cooked. And the sweet potato fries were amazing. The staff was welcoming and very nice. Would definitely come again :)

Good Day Cafe is a great place to get breakfast or lunch. The food is good (try the bacon fried rice!) The service is always excellent.
