I’ve practiced yoga here, was treated with corrective movement therapy, gotten a heavenly massage, acupuncture, and a plant based facial. Well Sonoma is very Sonoma County and well-being focused.

The yoga: the teachers here are so knowledgeable. They teach with your body’s longevity in mind first. It’s not about moving into the perfect posture here, it’s about moving in a way that is beneficial for your unique anatomy. The cues are easy to follow and the practice is challenging and focused. The Vinyasa classes here are such a workout, and they all teach based on anatomical benefits. You learn a lot in these classes. The Hatha classes are more challenging than you might think. The long holds with proper form can get you a workout too. Free rentals on mats and props!

Acupuncture with Lorelle: OMG she’s the nicest person you’ll ever meet in your life. Acupuncture here is lifestyle driven, and it honestly works miracles. Lorelle is also a Traditional Chinese Medicine specialist. She’s helped me overcome eating habits, anxieties, stress, and insomnia. I love seeing her!

Corrective Functional Movement Therapy with Shane: He helped me increase my range of motion in so many limbs in just one session. It was incredible! I also learned a lot about some of the lifestyle modifications I have to make to maintain a healthy range of motion and prevent long term pain. He helped me recover from a hamstring injury and shoulder injuries fairly quickly.

Facial with Katrina: You won’t be disappointed! Katrina is an artisan that crafts her own special blends of magical oils, masks, and more. The entire experience was like walking through and herbal and floral garden. My skin got the organic treatment made with seasonal ingredients. She also has really gentle hands that massage like an angel. She takes her time with you and really knows her stuff! I learned a lot about how to take care of my skin from my session with her.

A mobile yoga practice led by Deacon was the perfect addition to our bachelorette weekend in Sonoma! Deacon was punctual, his equipment was clean/in good shape, and his class was just what we needed! Our group had varying degrees of experience with yoga and his poses and guidance provided enough challenge, connection, and relaxation for our entire group. Deacon was attentive and interactive and brought a thoughtful gift for our bride. He was professional, yet patient with our rowdy group. He was flexible with scheduling (and re-scehduling!) and was just a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough about his soothing voice, pleasant demeanor, and over all good humor. Our time with this "yoga daddy" was the one of the highlights of an already amazing trip. We're looking forward to another practice and crossing our fingers for the addition of bedtime stories during shivasana next time!

YogaOne is an amazing family of teachers, healers, and friends. I interviewed with owner, Deacon Carpenter, four years ago on the couch in the lounge and the authenticity and comfort we shared in that first meeting continues to permeate the entire adventure.

The space is comfy and creates a genuine community vibe. There’s a guitar and personal library across from the receptionist’s desk. At times, the display bowl is full of local produce to share after class!

The receptionists have all been organized and informed about the studio and events. ALL the health practitioners have been amazing! Massage, Accupuncture, Reiki, and Yoga have been a true experience!

I have felt completely supported in my growth as a teacher and a student. The owner and staff have always supported my workshops, classes, and self-care. If you’ve ever wondered about what a Wellness Studio is, have no doubt, this is the place!

This Yoga Studio and assortment of amazing practionizers is so much more than just a business that you go to and then leave. This place has become a family and a refuge in the good times and the bad. I started working here about 4 years ago, and as I grew as a staff member and person, I transioned into teaching about 3 years ago. The support that I have received not just from Deacon and the other teachers, but also from students through constructive feedback and relentless love and encouragement, and just purely so much faith that didn't leave any room for self doubt to stay too long, is something I will cherish always. Through teaching I met some of the most amazing teachers, and some of the most amazing students; through taking classes I had the opportunity to connect deeper with other wondeful fellow students, besides whom I still practice, sweat, get stronger, go through ups and downs multiple times a week. It's a soothing feeling to know who you will most likely see in class, it's how community is build. I couldn't be happier to have walked into the studio all those years ago, and started my journey with Deacon and everybody else. I couldn't be more grateful to have the opportunity to participate in the community that Well Sonomo has created. It's my rock and my sanity keeper in times of chaos when college, life and everything else gets overwhelming.
If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend you do, you won't regret it. There's classes for all levels, and you will feel safe and supported every step of the way.

I took a class with Deacon and it felt fantastic. Deacon brings yoga in a way that is accesible for everybody, whether a beginner or experienced student.
He instructs with precision and offers different ways to get into a posture so that one can connect, stretch, strengthen, feel better regardless of their level.

His no nonsense, “not holier than thou” approach to teaching yoga is something that I always appreciate.
The studio is classy and inviting. I like lounging at the lobby while sipping tea and enjoying the peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

What its like to teach at the studio?

I landed in Santa Rosa not knowing much about the studio. I contacted Deacon via instagram while I was still living in Uruguay expressing my desire to offer classes in Spanish.
I demoed a class and he hired me. Fast forward one year I teach two classes in Spanish at the studio. I have regular students that never practiced before and they are growing in their practice and creating wellbeing from the inside out.
I have a mix of young students and also in their sixties.
This space has provided me the support necessary to find my voice as a teacher and to expand the offering of yoga to the Latinx community or anyone that’s interested in practicing in Spanish.

Inclusivity is something that I’m very interested in. As an immigrant myself I sometimes still experience the challenges of feeling comfortable in environments where english is spoken. But WEll+Sonoma is different. Because it’s a place that makes special emphasis in embracing ALL in a very natural way. It’s a super inclusive studio, and my hope and dream is that we can continue to break stereotypes. Yoga is really a beautiful way of taking care of ourselves and connecting to something larger than us.

I attended the Yoga session at Bricoleur Vineyards. Amazing experience. The best way to wind down on a Friday, or in my case wind up for the Iron Man. Deacon did an incredible job leading us and his added humor made the hour fly by. The wine at the end was the perfect touch to finish the night off. Thanks guys!!

Santa Rosa really needed this! I've been looking for a quality yoga and Pilates studio forever, and Yoga One totally blew me away. I have now taken several classes there and every teacher so far has been amazing - I even took a dance class, which I didn't think I would like as much as I did. The place is gorgeous, very clean and modern with a sweet and warm feeling. There's a huge water fountain in the reception, which sets a really different tone from the outside world right when you come in, and the people who work there have all been super helpful without being at all pushy, like in other places I've been. I got the $49 special for a month of unlimited classes, which is an awesome deal, and I totally plan to continue my membership after that. Highly recommended!

I LOVE this studio. The teachers are super knowledgable and cultivate a true sense of belonging amongst their students. It only took one class for this to become my favorite yoga studio in Santa Rosa!
