El Verano Inn

A great dive bar, the floors slope to the left when you walk in, but a great institution for anyone on the trek for great dive bars of California and other planets! Alice was a delight...kudos to her! We got hugs when we left the place. The popcorn was excellent. We met Shane, the other bartender on our way out.

Definitely a remnant of old Sonoma on the “springs-side” of town. Very, Low-key, rustic charm, with an eclectic ambiance that is obviously a local dive. Live music on weekends. The place has a relaxing outdoor patio in back.

Old place, and awesome place with cold beer and strong drinks. They have a pool table. Mainly locals. the place to have a cold beer (more drinks) and a game of pool in town. I am addicted to pool table. Everyone is nice and friendly. Its a classic place for hangout. And of course i got chance to meet owner. He is a nice and friendly. If you are searching for hangout with classic place and drinks, this is a best place. 🎱🥢

Great bar, amazing music watched the Kerry Daly Band play and jam with multiple different musicians and singers.

There is only 1 bartender, which is the owner, I believe, so service is a little slower. But prices for drinks and pool are awesome. And the music they have is phenomenal!!

What a fantastic find! Perfect night. The music was superb (about 20 incredibly talented musicians playing), the vibe was so good - warm, friendly and fun with *no attitude from anyone. Richard set the tone manning the bar by himself (!) by being such a great, chill guy that you almost wanted to stay there and talk with him ...but the music is outside! And the music is so, so good 👍
*What I mean by no attitude is that this was the most welcoming and positive group of people I've met in a long time. El Verano truly has something special going on here 🤗

This place is amazing. The west is still alive at el Verano Inn. Complete with a country stage, honky tonk piano, belly up bar and pool table- this place is a new Sonoma favorite.

This is the last one of it's kind in the valley. A special watering hole for the locals. Love all the bartenders, favorite bar in Sonoma!! And no, it really doesn't change and that's the beauty of it. Cheers

Some customers have been coming to El Verano Inn for more than 40 years.
On an historical note:
The El Verano Inn is housed in one of the oldest buildings in the area and has served at one time or other as a train station, US post office and (reputedly) as a house of ill repute.

If you are a wayward traveler or just a local with a wild hair, this place has you covered. Covivi safe and ready to serve you're humbe grace! Casual regulars and a few fun over coocoo's nest, this bar does not disappoint! Also the tender bar is primo minus the cost! Loved it twice will be back again! lol thamks for reading , good on ya 🇺🇸

If you are looking for a small town locals bar experience in, this is the place you want to visit. Peter is a wonderful classic old school bartender with a good story to tell anytime.

Great music. Bartender is the bomb. He makes a White Russian with Frangelico. Life changing I tell you. Great Sunday evening or any evening spot
