TNK Vegan Café

I love the menu selections, it’s on a busy street so it can be loud sometimes. A nice walk distance frim the park, college and the rest of the downtown area. <3

This place has great food for those looking for vegan, those that would like to try it,or just looking for a place to eat. The flavors are ridiculously good. The owners/ staff are super friendly. It can be pricey but the food speaks for itself. Highly recommend it if you're not vegan and are feeling a bit adventurous, this place doesn't disappoint.

Totally unexpected to find a place that has such good food. We were on our way to Yosemite and this was a good stop for a vegetarian fare. Even though they were closing and it was super hot outside, they found us a table inside with AC full blast and it was exactly what we wanted. The food tasted wonderful.

Googled “vegan food near me” on our way home from Turlock to Stockton and so glad we found this place! GREAT food & service! We ordered the Cashew “Chicken”, Orange “Chicken”, “Chicken” strips & Impossible burger and everyone cleared their plates! We also had the Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea and Lemon Cheesecake, all super yummy! Wish they had a restaurant like this in Stockton! We’ll be back! 😊

My wife and I just ate here for the first time, and were blown away. The Lemongrass Chicken is the best vegan chicken dish my wife and I have ever had, and we've eaten at most of the vegan restaurants in the Bay Area, including Wild Seed and Millennium. The Mongolian Beef was also delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and have a great attitude. The only downside with this place is that it's a pretty strange setup. They close at 6:30 pm. You order from outside, and then you can take your food to a small but clean and warm "dining area" which is a separate part of the building. We love this place, and wish there was one just like this closer to Walnut Creek. This location is so far from us, we will probably never return.

This place is a great vegan option. I'm a long time vegan but I've let others in my family try it and they've loved it as well. Even my grandpa who is a bit picky about vegan stuff. Their fake ham and chicken is great. As well as the TNK sauce they have. I have had a lot on their menu with my favorite being their ham spring rolls and the lemon grass tofu dish. The serving sizes are on the larger end, although they have become a little smaller and more expensive unfortunately. The only things I would avoid is their tofu spring rolls (bland) and chicken tenders (they're nothing special and similar to trader Joe's or Gardein boxed vegan tenders, just more expensive). Over the last two years prices have went up a few dollars, which is a little harder to swallow and they also put a lot of ice in drinks and charge a dollar to use your card to pay. I understand with inflation being so high, it just means I will have to come less often. It's still the best vegan place in the area and great to support small businesses!

This was place recommended to me by friends, and I can definitely see why! Unfortunately due to Covid it can be harder, but the restaurant does a great job of making the customer feel cared for. It's also awesome having vegan options in an area where it doesn't feel there's many. I got a few things to try:

1) Fried Won tons - these were great, and I especially loved the sauce that came to dip them in!
2) Happy Veggie Chow Mein - lots of veggies in it and it was very filling even with some to spare for later
3) Mango Tango Cheesecake - very fluffy and much more flavorful than I was expecting

I enjoyed my meal very much, and will definitely be trying other items off the menu in the future!

Thank you so much for the service, the clean environment and food preparation, the amount of food, the quality. I asked for the mashed potatoes chicken. Was delicious and outstanding about all the previous chicken veggie. I do not know how they find that texture but is delicious. Thai tea was good. I’m impressed with the food.

So enjoyed the food here. Fully vegan menu with a nice variety of dishes. Peaceful little patio for dining.

I'm new to a meat free diet and TNK Vegan Café has made it easier. Attach are their steak (my favorite thing in the menu so far) and the bacon and egg sandwich. Tried the chicken stripes the first time and wasn't the biggest fan but decided to give TNK another shot (right down the street from my workplace.) I'm glad in went again because the sandwich was great and the steak was even better.

I've eaten here a few times but the more things I try the more I like it. Vegetable bun, spring rolls, fish and chips and the lemongrass with fish. They have more than vegan food so check out their menu. I support small businesses when they're worth it every chance I get.

Dude I'm a carnivore when I eat, but I love TNK's vegan ham & bacon sandwich. I really liked it and with the side salad its nice to get full on something so light. I also got the blueberry smoothie with it and it was SO good. I will definitely go back to try something else!

Absolutely amazing in all regards. I expected the chocolate cake and Vietnamese coffee to be a very good special treat, instead it was miraculous! TNK made my day!

I don't live in town but when I do come to modesto I always come here! The best vegan food I've ever had!!! You gotta try the Vietnamese iced coffee, it's SOOOOOO good!!!

I’m not “vegan” but I understand and respect the diet choice... I tried this place on a whim for a healthy post bike ride meal.

I got the “egg & bacon” sandwich and their egg rolls, ordered through Grubhub. Both were awesome, I’m actually here again waiting for food as I’m writing this.

Pretty nice there’s a vegan place so deep in the valley. Woulda been unheard of 3 years ago.

Absolutely delicious & super fresh vegan food. We were passing through Modesto & found this gem for lunch. Small outdoor seating area was not busy before noon & was very pleasant even on a hot summer day. If we lived in Modesto, this would be a favorite restaurant.

I got a burger with the Impossible patty today. It was delicious. I made a few adjustments and they listened to everything that I asked for. Also, I'm so glad they have the crinkle-cut fries again! I like them way better than the other ones.

Great vegan spot in Modesto! Came in the city for business and couldn't decide what to eat so tried this spot out and was impressed. Good variety of menu items for most people between Asian oriented entrees and burgers and sandwiches. Definitely a good spot for first starters if you're getting into the lifestyle. I had the Mongolian beef and it was very good compared to some I've tried. They do ask what spice level but for me I'm always a 10 🔥🔥 the place is very easy to spot and has a decent layout but not designed for bigger parties. Max would be 4. Definitely recommend!

Though my husband and I aren't even vegetarians, we decided to walk here with our dog for lunch. I had the TNK Club and my husband had the BBQ chicken sandwich. Both were surprisingly great. I had the side salad and the dressing was a bit sweet for my taste, but his fries were good and we would definitely recommend the sandwiches. If you haven't tried vegan lately, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
