My son and I have been surviving with homemade buzzed haircuts since 2020, and for our first real cut in years, I wanted to go to a place with a little more style and character. True Gents was exactly what I wanted.

I called after Google said they were closed, and was able to book back-to-back cuts with Isaac the next day. We arrived and I have to admit that I’m not thrilled about the steep driveway, but that’s geology and the county’s fault, not True Gents. When we walked in, the atmosphere was clear, this was a neighborhood barbershop, complete with old couches and the NBA finals on the tv. I was right at home. We were quickly acknowledged and since we were early, settled into the couches.

Isaac may be young, but he has excellent customer service, and was very receptive to my vague directions about how to cut my son’s hair. He knocked it out, being patient as my son fidgeted and never getting rattled by my interruptions. My son looks great. For my “cut”, he took the time to actually shape my hair, as opposed to buzzing and moving on (like I do), and took exceptional care to work with me on shaping my beard.

10/10; I’ve found my barbershop and will definitely be back. If you can handle the neighborhood barbershop vibe and want a great cut, True Gents is the spot.

I had to find someone when my regular barber was out of town. These guys did a good job.

Yogi is a magician. I came in with a not-so-good haircut I got from another shop, and he was able to fix it up and make it look super clean.

Prices are reasonable and the shop has a very chill atmosphere. Definitely would go back to this place!

Bunch of young barbers working in a cool space. It was quite busy for a Friday so definitely worth booking ahead (on Booksy, very easy)

Isaac gave me a cut and beard trim, came out fantastic, asked for nothing too risky as I was going to a wedding and was very pleased! About $45 total for cut and trim pre tip. Nice spot near Sonoma for a freshen up!!

This place is amazing! I watched all the different barbers as they worked. Their attention to detail was incredible. The place was so clean and all of them so welcoming. Truly a true treasure for our valley. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Great place. All the guys are down to earth guys. And do an excellent job. I go there all the time. They even have a app that will let you choose your barber and schedule an appointment. I use Jake. Nice young man. Does great job every time.

Great service! Yogi does great honest work, and is willing to work with your schedule. Ambience has a very positive and clean vibe, and you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Whether you want a modern style, or prefer the classic gentleman's fit, check them out.

Stopped in on a Friday night... True Gents has that old school meets new school vibe. Comfy chairs and trendy interior. JZ is a professional. His attention to detail is impeccable and had a great conversation all the while. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

I moved to Sonoma 6 months ago and go back home to Oregon once a month. When I would go home I would set up to have my hair cut. That became too difficult so I called over to True Gents and Allen set me up for a Saturday appointment and now I am a regular. They are so professional and on point with their cuts! I am so glad I found these guys! Thanks Allen and Yogi!

True Gents Barber 👏 y'all are truly special! My five year old has been getting his hair cut and lined up since he was 12months. His barbershop moved & so did we. After having had serious grow out due to COVID-19 we were looking for a local sonoma barber shop. Therefore I started asking around, Aaron from Dutch bros 🙌 told me to go and check them out as he has family working here.
I cannot tell you how excited my son was when we walked in to our appt.
Alex was our barber he went above and beyond by taking the time to explain and discuss my sons (wanted) hair style (to look like a T-Rex) now we are all aware that cutting a toddlers hair can be difficult let alone when you wann look like a T-Rex 🤣🤣
Alex received 5 THUMBS UP from my son. He had so much fun, and he was rewarded for being a good boy while sitting in the chair with CANDY! We are stoked off of such an incredible barbershop. The cleanliness, organization & over all feel warms your soul. Until next time!!

Heres the deal. I came in looking very shabby after not shaving at all for 8 months. I left looking like a guy who has it all together.
When I showed up I had a huge 'Santa Clause' beard. And a lot of fluffy hair on top. Yogi didnt laugh at me, which is impressive in itself. He talked to me about my options and he got started. About 30 minets later I had awsome hair and a very cool beard.
The price was very reasonable and I gladly gave a nice tip.

I came into True Gents barber shop with my 88 year old Pops. Yogi took great care of my pops. I highly recommended this place. Great atmosphere I’ll definitely be back.
