I enjoyed my time, they took me in last minute and still got my hair done that day. It was done beautifully too. It didn’t feel heavy or not look full. It was light, clean, and completed my features. I just loved it!! Thank you for making y NOLA trip! 😁

I have been coming here for the last 2 years or so and every time I have it has been great. The hairdresser has done a wonderful job each time. I have A LOT of thick hair and when i went in for a retwist she managed to get my messy hair all nice and cleaner up. She also did a great job with the wash as well. She also plays really fun music as well. 10/10 I would definitely come again and I would definitely recommend Akoss Beauty for any of your hair needs.

I’ve been wanting box braids for months and finally decided to get them done. It’s been hard to find someone who would do it during this pandemic but I’ve found the perfect lady! She is so nice and understanding. She did a beautiful job on on my hair. Even though it was my first time getting box braids I feel it was the best decision I’ve ever made! Thank you soooo much for my braids I love them so much. 10/10 would recommend!

I had the best experience at Akoss salon! The service and help from her little ones was fun and an enjoyable experience while sitting down. I came as a walk in and she was generous enough to take me in, love it! Not only was her work great, but it was a blessing to have her do my hair and to talk. Definitely becoming a regular customer!

So far, the experience I had was very good. My niece is getting braids as I am reviewing. Her appt was not scheduled until tomorrow. But she was happy to take her in today, one day earlier. I am very confident that my niece will be happy. 5 stars definitely goes to the customer service for above and beyond my expectations. I will update after the 5 hour estimate mark. 😊 Price is exactly what I expected. With that said, always expect to pay more for quality care in any service field. Extremely happy with the results and the happy baby girl!!! Thank you thank you!!!

Akoss has been doing my hair for 12 years! She is a great stylist! And she makes sure we both love my hair before I leave! Thank you Akoss!❤ She is also very friendly, wonderful to talk to. Akoss also lets me know exactly what to use to maintain my style until my next appointment.

I had my perm cut out for dreadlocks and the beautician who did my locks performed a disaster. The parts were crooked and the ends still had perm on the ends. I took one look in the mirror and was shocked beyond words. It was so bad I bought a wig. I said nothing to the beautician I just paid her and left never to see her again. Then Akoss was a god sent. She srarted my locs from scratch and did an outstanding job. I look forward to working with her for years to come.

This is one of, if not the best place in Modesto to get your hair braided. The customer service is 2nd to none. Akoss has braided my hair multiple times and I have been very satisfied. I always get compliments about her work and have referred her people that can say the same. She is fast and takes appointments so you can come in and out on your own time frame, which is a huge plus. I’m a male and when I first came in, my hair was roughly 5 inches and she worked wonders. I hope this helps out because I know I looked online and didn’t really find any reviews like this. I hope you give her a try.

Also her prices are more than fair and if you have a specific way you want your hair to come out, please believe she will get it done right.

I have gotten my hair done 4 times at Akoss Beauty and I am extremely satisfied every time! Three times with kinky twists and 1 time a braided ponytail. She is very efficient and does great work. Her attention to detail is excellent. I would highly recommend going Akoss Beauty for your extensions or protective styling needs. She's the best!

Got my tender headed 12yr son's hair braided today.I was ready for a fit but he was falling asleep and asked if he could come back because he loves his braids and liked the shop.We definitely will be regulars.Also will be getting my hair braided there soon as well.

Very friendly and accommodating. They do excellent work on braids , twists, and extensions. Having become a regular here wanted to amend my original review a bit. Akoss is AWESOME. Recently I had a rush job and she knocked it out of the park. We were all so rushed I left my phone and my hat there. Luckily I got back in time for my phone but forgot my hat yet again. The owner is so conscientious that the next day she dropped off my hat at my house. When and where is todays world do you find local service that amazing. If you need braids, twists, extensions, etc and you go anywhere else you are losing out. The quality of her products and her amazing skill amount to one of Modesto's Finest Local Businesses!

Great place to get your hair done braided she has all the products for your hair, also my hair has been thinning a lot in the front. I use a lot of different products from store but some how she brought it back to life you can't go wrong with this spot the best in town hands down I'll give it 100+

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! I have been going to Akoss to for about 4 years now & let me tell you, her work & her style is incomparable. She has grown my hair back to health after making unwise choices to try and go "cheaper" by having someone who is not in a shop do my hair. She has become family. I have never left upset or angry or unsatisfied. She braids lightly but my hair still feels tight and intact. She knows about hair care, not just about doing the hair. Shes all about healthy hair! Now, her pricing is a little higher than her competitor, BUUUTTTTT you pay for what you get! You pay for peace of mind, great results, haircare, relationship & loyalty. She has taken down my weaves/braids, very fast and gentle. She has clipped my ends, not all of my hair (like other places). HER HAIR WASHES ARE A DREAM!!!!! HAVE YOU EVER HAD A HEAD MASSAGE? OMG! SHE IS THE BEST AT WASHING! lol honestly, I wud go to her just to wash my hair hahaha! She does exactly what I request, but her version of what she thinks I want. I'm always transformed, renewed & happy. If I can give her 6 million stars I would! She has become family, it has been such a joy to watch her kids grow up at the shop. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!
