Rancho Fresco Mexican Grill

The food was amazing, finally some quality food in Modesto! The fresh handmade tortillas make a world of a difference and has opened my eyes to how important the tortilla is for the flavor of a taco! I ordered barbacoa, carnitas, and steak tacos and all were amazing especially the barbacoa, it had such a rich flavor and has a nice kick to it. I’ll be taking more photos next time cuz I’m definitely coming back.

When you're downtown and craving a burrito, this is easily the best place to go. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and you get to watch them cook your food(and tortillas) as you go through line.

Came in for some early morning menudo. It was definitely one of the better menudo I've had. The tortillas were homemade and everything tasted fresh. The lady working also knew how to check the menudo to make sure it was ready. The coffee was also free which was a surprise. Everything was fairly priced as well.

I wish i lived in the area to try more items on the menu, but everything other people ordered looked just as good.

Very low key. The tortillas are made fresh right in front of you on the big spinning hot plate...corn or flour. Good food!

Tortillas cooked on site...when you order! Everything is FRESH, fast, and phenomenal. Great people and very clean as well. Always a favorite stop when I'm in town.

Huevos rancheros and the bottomless mimosas made for a perfect brunch on a Saturday the DJ was pretty good but I really like the visuals on the big screen they had like a beach scene and sometimes it said the DJ's name in the ocean it was pretty cool

Homemade flour tortillas! I love getting the Chile relleno on Fridays. Each meal comes with free chips and salsa. Service is fast and usually never a long wait. I also recommend the carne asada burrito or quesadilla and the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. This place is a must try, reasonable priced ($10 for a meal)

Ahh love rancho fresco! I'm so far away so I have to come here every time I visit Modesto for work, my favorite is the fresh made tortillas they literally rocket this restaurant way above any other place similar, such as chipotle, the carnitas is freshly made and just awesome and I get refried beans and some rice and veggies and the salsa is good too the red one with green specs, go and get a burrito you will be hooked on this place like I am

I really like their burritos. They use homemade tortillas that they make. You can see the person making the tortillas. I gave them 5 stars because they have delicious food. Their customer service is OK.

Bean burrito my way (refried beans, rice, pico de gallo sour cream cheese green sauce ) and one of the best burritos I have had. Second time there. Looking forward to a 3rd time. Thank you 💗

Awesome place to have authentic, fresh AND delicious Mexican food. We enjoyed (almost) the whole variety of tacos…each one a blessing of its own.
Highly recommended—Especially because there’s a dozen beers on tap, making the perfect match to the foods.

We love rancho fresco for a few reasons. Fast service, delicious food, fresh food and Olga. Most of the staff is really friendly, but Olga really makes the experience superb. Second to no other. Anytime we walk through that door, Olga makes us feel like we are family. There is a lot of good food in the Central Valley, finding good food is not an issue, but finding customer service and attention to detail like Olga’s is what makes this place a stand out. We talk to our friends and family about Olga and we encourage them to come visit, oh yeah and the food is yummy. Definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to get some good fresh Mexican food.

Cute little night spot serving happy hour food and drinks. Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with a $20 steak and glass of wine.

Having grown up with always eating Mexican food at home. I didn't have much appreciation for Mexican food at restaurants but I can say without a doubt this is NOT your ORDINARY Mexican restaurant! The homemade tortillas remind me of home, not to mention biting into into one of there quesadillas or burritos will make you melt from pure savoriness.

Amazing food with freshly made flour tortillas. When ordering burritos one problem is the tortillas tend to rip causing the contents to fall out. They offer a range contents to put inside.

Make sure to ask for the flour chips they make which are amazing!

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and Olga never fails to wow us with her attention to detail and customer service. The food always tastes fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is always clean, the workers are nice but Olga always delivers world class customer service. We will continue coming to this establishment and recommend to our friends and family because if the overall peace and food but also greatly because of Olga.

I absolutely loved this place! I don't recall ever having a FRESH tortilla made right in front of me, but that's just what happened at Rancho Fresco! The food was AMAZING and the atmosphere definitely gives off a nice vibe while also being not too much!! Will definitely be back!!!

If your looking for Authentic Mexican, look no further! Second time here and will return. I've been cooking for over 40 years. Its easy to mess up Authentic Mexican, much harder to perfect. They got it pretty close to perfect!! Everything is fresh, salsa is just right, and you'll know once you try their food. I recently moved from San Jose and tried several location
s throughout Modesto and this one is my favorite. The only part that seemed to be slightly bothersome was the line...but well worth the wait, over and over again!
