We needed a roofer who could remove and reinstall our existing solar panels. Many roofers would not touch the panels or charged a premium to do so. SLB came in at a reasonable price for new roof, gutters and dealing with the solar. I wish we had found them before we were in contract with a different solar provider and we could have used them for the whole job. The roof is sturdier than before with the added OSB and the upstairs is cooler, thanks to the venting system and cool roof compliant shingles. Everyone was nice, too.

Jaime and Juan were great to work with. They both possess the perfect amount of professionalism, knowledge and friendliness. They patiently answered all of my questions, before, during and after the job and were always quick to respond back whenever I reached out to them.

The crew that came out to do the work was supervised by Ramon who could not have been nicer. He and his team worked very hard throughout the project. When we discovered we needed to have some additional work done due to some dry rot, they quickly took on the extra work and made the necessary repairs.

Sustainable Builders removed my old roofing & installed a new one prior to my solar panels installation. It was a difficult job as I live on a narrow, winding hilly road with many trees & lines overhead. They had to do everything by hand. They did a great job in 4 days and my new roof is beautiful. The workers were experienced and accommodating. At the end they cleaned everything up and removed all debris. The company was very responsive to my concerns and needs. The price was very reasonable. I can recommend them highly. All materials were the latest and best available.

I used SLB on a commercial re roof project i had and they were awesome to work with. They communicated with me and let me know exactly what they were going to do, they did the job in a timely manner, gave me a great price, and they even cleaned up after themselves. These are the guys I'm using for any roof, gutter or solar needs!

We chose Sustainable Living Builders Inc (SLB) to install a solar system on our historic home, which also required replacing the worn-out roofing with a new roof and gutter/soffit. we are very pleased on all levels. The company repeatedly went out of its way to provide detailed information on the complex issues involved, handled all city permitting for our historic district, outlined multiple options at varying prices, and always followed up on questions or their own promises. Throughout the process, I felt the prices were fair and highly competitive with other vendors, who provided far less help in planning a system. SLB has its own roofing division and that crew was large, worked very hard and was diligent about using the best materials and methods. The solar side was also very good, with expert electricians who really worked with us to provide a system that is 1) safe, 2) flexible, and 3) fits the aesthetic character of our home. The only minor drawbacks were the timing -- the project started a little late due to supply chain issues, and took a bit longer than expected, largely because of needed repairs on our roof. And there were minor miscommunications about materials But I can't hold those things solely against SLB. I wholeheartedly recommend SLB to any homeowner considering solar.

SLB re-roofed our little house, and they did what they said they would do, came when they said they would come, and charged what the estimate said they would charge. Very satisfied with the work.

Staff are uniformly friendly, well-spoken and safety conscious. They gave us clear instructions about getting ready for the work, very helpful. They were careful about our garden and thorough in clean-up, including some things I figured I would have to do myself.

They were not the lowest bid we received but did include things I hadn't thought to ask for, so the slight cost difference was a good value.

We are very satisfied with Sustainable Living Builders, we will use them again in future work, and highly recommend them to others.

SLB did a complete roof and gutter replacement on my home. I was very happy with the results and the entire experience. They answered all my questions, communicated very well, and didn't seem to mind the fact that I spent a great deal of time up on the roof with them, observing their work and pointing out small details that needed addressing. I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. Their bid was not the lowest, and it was far from the most expensive. I am left with the feeling that I made a very wise decision when I chose SLB.

This company was awesome to work with! Super responsive, on time, skilled installers. Did everything they said they were going to do, no surprises, and showed up when they said they were going to show up. All my neighbors keep complimenting my new roof. Everything was great. I highly recommend!

My roof was replaced on schedule and budget. SLB uses quality materials and their employees were hard working and courteous. Any questions we had were answered and we were kept advised on the status of the job throughout the process.

Solid contractor that really came through for me when I need my roof replaced. Offered a reasonable price and made sure that I fully understood what the project would entail. I didn’t feel like I was being sold which was nice since a number of different contractors did try and sell me.

The work itself was completed quickly and I’m very pleased with the result. I’ve recommended these folks a few times already and will continue to do so.

All team members at SLB were professional and responsive. Needed additional downspouts added, along with maintenance on existing gutters. Overall experience was GREAT. Happy with pricing and finished work. Will call upon SLB when it is time for roof and full gutter replacement.

Sustainable Living Builders are truly amazing! They provided Rotary Manor with incredible service, they were highly communicative, the entire team was always very pleasant, their follow up and attention to detail were amazing! And, we bid out the project and they had the most competitive price!!
Rotary Manor is a large campus with 98 apartments and 4 buildings, so we really put them to the test here, and we HIGHLY recommend SLB!!
