Exquisite brunch menu; excellent food, vibes, bottomless mimosas and patio dining! Our first visit and certainly not our last. We were Out riding bikes on a Sunday afternoon with friends when we ran into this treasure in our hometown👏🏼 My lox plate was perfect, the Monte Cristo was Amazing, and the two chef specials were intriguing and delightful to say the least. From presentation to service and great vibes this place is an all around Hit!

Classic American burgers. My medium was almost well done. Except from that delicious.
And almost every dish had vegan options available. Service was friendly, but not the usual standard we experienced during our vacation.

Stopped here at 1 pm on a Friday during a road trip since it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and had a warm, welcoming smile. The food was soooooo good, we already made plans to stop in during our next drive down south.

First time in staying in Modesto. After checking Google for different restaurants I realized that their downtown core had a ton. This place stood out for the creativity in their recipes. I got there and was greeted cheerfully by a freshly opened staff, I ordered the CLTA, chicken lettuce tomato avocado. I noticed on one of their other southern dishes that they had a Carolina mustard slaw. They made a special for me with the CLTA add the Carolina slaw, off the freaking hook. I will definitely be back the staff unfortunately whose names I cannot remember were amazing. Cool vibe decent prices great food.

This is quite literally my favorite restaurant in the whole world. I was a huge fan of the original location Bauers 66-1/2 and the original owner was a close family friend. Once this location opened and the other closed, this was quickly my new favorite. When ownership was switched, I was worried that they would change this place for the words, but luckily I was wrong and in fact it seems better. The staff is incredible, you simply can't get a wrong option when it comes to food, because it's all so good. Their is semi regular live music and a general good atmosphere. Whether its casual eating, to celebrate an achievement or birthday, or simply because I'm craving those addicting fries, you will definitely find me here.

The last time I was here is the last time I will visit.

I went for a table for 1 and found someone "else" under my table. This ruined the vegan experience for me since my waitress insisted on stomping them out of the location with a swift crunch from a napkin.

I can still smell the meat lingering while she did that to my uninvited guest. We could have got along, but they killed them.

The food was ok, though their selection is better for vegans. One time they gave me a meat burger even though the waitress made it clear that I was vegan.

If you don't mind the sound of crunching & the lingering smell of something that shouldn't be on the menu -- I highly recommend this adventure into the unknown.

I’ve been here several times. The food and the service is always excellent. Great place to grab a drink and some delicious food.

Great first time at Bauer's downtown! Joined friend for birthday. Great vibe with distanced outdoor seating. Food/drinks/servers all Great. Planning on going back to try more from menu. :-)

We had the vinha d' ahlos Portuguese wings - hot, Pao de queijo popovers and El Chicharron burger. The burger was the star of the meal. The quality and preparation of the meat shone thru all of the ingredients into a well balanced and constructed burger. I appreciate the eclectic menu and tap list in a place that is frankly unassuming from the outside. It is one of the most notable places we have been to since moving to California.

Best Pastrami in town! Delicious food all well crafted.

Service was fast and friendly, I had a BBQ pork sandwich with jalapeños and salad.

Legit and creative burgers, cozy patio, nice selection of brews and cocktails.

I've tried their "The Real Deal" burger & "Briebg" and both are easily the best burgers I've ever had, with the Briebg taking the plate.

I recommend ordering an extra patty on any of the burgers if you are protein deficient [The impossible patties are perfect!]

The real deal has a horse radish bite.

Ty!! Owner, beer pro, extraordinaire. Great reception by Ty and customer service! He sat down with us and explained the concept of his menu and the fantastic selections. Great to have the owner take time to do this. The food was excellent. We started with the Octavian Style Nachos. A must try. Then pur table all went with the daily special. Pictured is the filet. The other special was a salmon plate. A must.try if your in the area.

Gone here a few times, and every time the food is amazing and so delicious! If it wasn’t for the food or the male server, we would never be back. The female waitress is rude, has a poor attitude and won’t acknowledge you at all. She even turns off the phones when she gets busy or refuses to seat people even when seats are available (this happened to us our first time and we walked out and the male server came after us to seat us). The male server is how my husband and I got food every time since she ignored us. Chefs are amazing. Foods amazing. Male waiter is great.

One of the best meals I've had all year, not a weak link from the first beer to the main dish. The Dirty South is the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and drop by. Loved it.
