New China

My friend told me that the New China Restaurant in the Pocket Area is under new management, and they have new menus and new chefs. We decided to have our dinner there last night.

I found out they have a new sign at the front door, and the dining room is completely remodeled. The dining room is brand new and comfortable.

They have new menus, including many Hong Kong-style yummy dishes and drinks. Some sections listed are coming soon. I can't wait to see more delicious items added to their menu in the near future.

All the dishes we get are so good, and we have excellent services. New China is my favorite restaurant in Sacramento now!

In my own words the New China Resteraunt is a very good value with a wide variety of dishes on their menu. The service was excellent and the food was really fresh and delicious. The entrées made with care, the proteins were well cooked and the vegetables were not over done. Overall, I believe that New China presents a real value in our community and a welcome addition for lunch or dinner. What they lack in parking space they make up for with great food and a really friendly atmosphere. I would recommend dining here and is very convenient for pick up or take out.

I was getting ready to head home for the night but I really wanted noodles for dinner. I decided to try this place out for the first time. I called in for takeout. When I got there, the place seemed to have a nice, cozy vibe.

I ordered the Tomato - Beef Chow Mein. So good. I like that they double-wrapped the containers. I don’t do microwaves. And tbh I was too hungry to even think of reheating on the stove. Didn’t have to do any of that — it was still nice and hot by the time I got home !

I so often crave tomatoes. And this one really hit the spot — so comforting and nourishing on a cold night. Very happy I decided to take a chance! Will definitely return !

I’ve been ordering from this place for years and they always deliver delicious food alongside friendly customer service. Pleased with the many vegetarian options, including vegetarian hot and sour soup :)

Love their food here. Service is quick and you can go in and pick it up or they will bring it to your vehicle. No indoor dining since Covid. I’m a frequent, repeat visitor to this restaurant.

I’ve had a lot of Chinese food and I gotta say this is some of the best I’ve ever had. The servers are also very timely and respectful. If you want some late night Chinese food, this is the spot!

Delicious food and the service is so friendly and really helpful. The food is always fresh and prepared quickly. Parking is convenient and it's very cozy. Reasonably priced as well.

The food is good always. The chicken dishes are excellent, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Anyone I've taken there has enjoyed it. The noodle dishes available is diverse, from thin to thick and from vegetarian to meat and seafood. Good comfort food and nice people. The owner is a nice guy. He has a tough exterior but once you get to know him...

Update: just finished up our leftover mongolian beef, veggie deluxe and awesome egg rolls. Support this wonderful, family owned establishment as soon as possible.

Update: another round of the best Chinese food around ... just delicious. Hot fresh and authentic. We continuously choose New China over all others. Times are tough but we love supporting this local business... Mongolian beef, BBQ pork chow me8n and egg rolls.. feeds 2-4 easily...tender beef and pork + perfectly done veggies... superb! Enjoy!

Been going here for years. The owners and their family have worked very hard to keep the quality of their food at a very high level. The honey walnut prawns are some of the best in sacramento, haven't had a dish here i didn't love.

Idk why people are giving this place bad reviews. We drive 35 mins to get food from here because they are the best Chinese food around. Since we moved here 4 years ago we tried every place locals have recommended, this is the ONE spot we agree with! This place is amazing! Their food is so flavorful, it reminds us of Chinese food from the Bay Area. Will continue to give this place my business and I recommend you do to, you won’t regret it!

Ok, hands down some of the best food in Sacramento!

This is my go to spot for Chinese food and they're still knocking out of of the park during covid. I honestly think it's gotten even better. On top of that, the staff is always nice and seems to try their best to remember everyone that comes in

You can't go wrong with anything here but try the Sesame Chicken, it's my favorite!

Very good food! We usually get a family dinner (for two people) and walk out with at least one whole meal worth of leftovers! Big portions and perfectly cooked food. This place makes everything to order, so it takes a few minutes to get your food (call ahead to pick up), but it is soooo worth it!

My favorite is the Szechuan Chicken, crispy and a little spicy, super tasty!

Great food, a little pricy but well worth it. Great customer service and delivery always ahead of schedule. Salt and Pepper Asparagus and Shrimp is the best I've ever had.

It's not flashy, but if you want vegan Chinese food, look no further! The Mongolian beef leaves meat eaters in awe, and the salt-and-pepper eggplant is a snacky dream. Great people—I've been eating there ever since their old location 20 years ago. They switched to takeout only during COVID and remain so today.

Surprisingly amazing. I am from the bay area. Seeking good Chinese food. This place is the place go. I can't say enough you need to try it yourself. You won't regret it. Fast delivery too

The rice plates are amazing!! My husband and I eat here often and order custom rice plates. I usually order chicken shrimp asparagus zucchini mushrooms and broccoli over rice. It is soooooooo good. Ginger beef over rice is also a favorite!
