Enjoyed the atmosphere, our server was helpful and efficient and friendly. She took excellent care of us. We had some appetizers and drinks. Ordered dinner, everyone’s food was hot and cooked to perfection. We had a great experience. Look forward to dining here again soon!

First time there and enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. I brought my own wine a nice 14 Zin I been saving told waiter be careful soft old cork will ripe out sure enough. I asked for a decanter and a filter he brought back cheese clothe and was able to filter the wine perfect. His timing was perfect on our dishes as he brought them out. Not rushed at all. All of our steaks were cooked perfect rare, med rare rib eye prime rib all super delicious. Beautiful little town. We will be going back for sure.

Every time I eat here I am never disappointed, and this visit was no exception. My family went there to celebrate a birthday, we each ordered something different, and each entreé was delicious.
My Taylor sirloin wrapped in bacon had a yummy char to it, my husband's Surf and Turf with lobster was lovely, & my brother's fried chicken sandwich was a spicy but good surprise. Our server Robbie was friendly and checked on us regularly to make sure we were content. Buckhorn, you never cease to amaze me.

I grew up in the area and the only thing that has changed about the Buckhorn is the prices. We took my mom and my niece for their birthdays.
We had a large party and no one order was forgotten or messed up which I have to say I was surprised. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I’m still dreaming of the Cajun steak bites! Yum!!!

I took my wife here for her Birthday she was in love with the place as well as the delicious food. She had the Prime Rib and I had a Rib Eye and clam chowder wow everything was delicious.
And our server was the best in the bar as well as at our table.
We have been here many times in the past we have always loved
it however the atmosphere gets pretty loud in there.

The original Buckhorn makes a good location for a fancier and a more upscale class dining experience. The interior, that is perfectly lit with comforting gold lighting, is filled with heads of game that finish of the setting of a cabin in the hills. Their service was honorable for many restaurants, and the food was delicious, it happens to be even better than other locations. As well as higher quality food. I ordered a 9oz ribeye with a baked potato and asparagus👇🥩

Edit: I dined here again and had an even better experience. Ordered the tri-tip, loaded baked potato and seasonal medley this time around. Once again, pure delicious

tomahawk and Dark pepper butter.
Oh my.
The tomahawk was flavored and paired with the flavored butter is amazing.
The calamari was ok and the iceberg wedge was delicious.
this is by far one of the best statehouse I have been to.
the portions are generous and don't for forget to add the lobster tail.
A family of 3 can easily feast on a tomahawk.

We came here last night to finish planning for a dinner we are hosting the the following night. They have been extremely helpful during the planning (50 people) and seating. Last night we had a few ‘apps’ and some cocktails and they were very good. I had not been in this establishment for almost 30 years and it has been extensively remodeled and it is fantastic! Love the new look and feel.

Took our friends here to celebrate the warp of her show. Enjoyed every second. Delish drinks, apps and food. Server was attentive and very polite. Definitely recommend making reservations as it was packed when we came in for our 730 reservations

Quite enjoyed their tomahawk steak for 2. Comes with two sides and seasonal vegetables so you don't have to fight over sides or order extra. Moose, deer and elk on the walls add the finishing touch. 10/10 recommend only slight negative is it's a bit noisy.

Great food and good service at the Restaurant. The steaks were well seasoned and cooked perfectly, the side vegetables which are usually bland were super flavorful! Overall great place if you are looking for an upscale dinner option or head over to the bar for happy hour that’s super affordable!

Buckhorn is a great gem in Winters. Our experience (spring ‘22) has been that reservations are helpful but not really needed for a couple.

The steaks are fantastic of course, but there are also some great appetizers, cocktails, and wine. We’ve had the filet, the bone-in ribeye (my favorite), and the prime rib and have no complaints! The calamari and BREAD (serving size is massive) are also our go-to’s!

Casual vibe and reasonably priced. Would recommend!

We were in town visiting my grandmother and our Aunt was raving about this place. She treated me and my sister's to dinner here. This restaurant was amazing. Everything from the spirits to the appetizers to the main course, it was delicious. The spinach and artichoke dip was some of the best I ever had. Be prepared to spend some coin tho, place is expensive, but you get what you pay for and I loved every bite. I cannot wait to go back and visit my Grams just to eat at this place again.

What an awesome meal! Everything was delicious! The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful! Served with buttery mashed potato and crunchy lightly buttered green beans. 42 day aged rib eye. If you are up to it, because it's huge, ask for the Tomahawk dinner for two!

I give it a 5 star because the steak was cooked perfectly for my party of 14. I would have given it a 4 star because the sides are just ok. We ordered one of every dessert, and the cake was dry, but the cheesecake and cream brulee were awesome, but I'm there for the meat, not the sides and desserts. Great atmosphere and service and will go there many more times.

We ordered the Tomahawk steak, which was perfectly charred on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Wow, it was so delicious 😋 we got it with black garlic compound butter and chimichurri. It was shared between 3 people and took some of it home. The dog gets the bone and will be so happy.

The food and the service were both excellent. The place has an old-school ambiance and many deer hanging on the walls. My wife particularly loved the sourdough bread.

Just amazing! I'm usually quite critical of many restaraunts. There aren't many places you will find the food perfectly prepared, sides you want to devour, along with impeccable service. The experience was absolutely delightful and exceeded every expectation. 10/10 Our entire group was raving about it all night.

The Buckhorn is an excellent steakhouse in Winters, CA. They have the best bread ever. Very, very good steak and prime rib! The BUCKHORN offers the best in steaks. They bake their own loaves of bread right there. The bread is simply divine. There is a full bar where some patrons wait and also an outside seating area. Reservations are definitely recommend for busy times. A reservation here does not save your spot if you are late though, so make it by your appointed time. You typically spend between 1-2 hours here. Birthdays are frequently celebrated here and they offer a complimentary piece of ice cream coffee cake that is enough for 6 to share. You can call ahead and order a balloon if you desire. They tell you the cost. The steaks, chicken, fish, NE clam chowder and bread are excellent. In fact, everything is great. We are here just this evening and someone was having difficulty choosing between two excellent soups. The waiter offered to bring out a cup of each type instead of a bowl of one type! Unfortunately the bread and soup/salads are so delicious that we often end up taking our main meal home but it’s excellent the next day too! The ambience is unique with stuffed heads of various animals hanging on the walls. There are 2 big dining rooms and booths are available as well as tables. The waiters and waitresses are all very knowledgeable and friendly. You will get great service here. If you encounter a rare problem, simply contact the manager and they will make it right! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BUCKHORN! You will not be disappointed! They don’t have their own parking lot but there is street parking and a lot across the street. It is very handicapped convenient except the Women’s restroom door is very heavy! (Can’t comment on the Men’s!). If my review is helpful please leave me a thumbs up! Thank you. God Bless!
