Deputy richmond and his fellow officer on 09/15/21 deserve A+ credit for how the handled my situation which was a little complex. One of the most respectable encounters with officers ive ever had period. Couldnt be more grateful it was them who arrived. -Adam

CORRUPT, VERY CORRUPT!!!
I was involved in an accident, I knew I was not at fault. I overheard one of the deputies tell the female officer incharge about what one witness said. They clearly marked the pavement with spay paint and took multiple pictures. But when report was ready the female deputy in charge wrote that because there were no witnesses nor pictures, she cannot determine who was at fault.
While she was talking the young driver and his parents who showed up minutes after the accident, she was laughing and talking in friendly manner, but when she came to me she was unfriendly because my name wasn't like "JOHN SMITH"
Two weeks after the accident, I called to obtain a copy of the report, and I was told that it was not ready. Yet, I had received a call from the other party's insurance company stating that the VIN NUMBER of my car is not correct on the accident report!!!
I decided to to pay a visit to the station. That was another disappointing experience, as the investigator was talking to me with a threatening tone of voice and finally he slammed his hand on the table yelling at me "are you accusing my deputy of lying?", Then I decided to leave since it was pointless. I filed a complaint, but NO USE.
Should have gone ahead and sued the entire department. Since it has been a few years and I have got rid of the pictures and letters.....

Called VCSD when a group of people were illegally parked at the end of our street, and burning road flares along with debris. VCSD showed up, talk with them, and left. Did nothing in terms of clearing out the illegally parked vehicles or addressing the loitering issue. We live in a very high fire danger area, so my main concern was the burning material, but I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the other issues to be addressed at the same time. I have lost all confidence in the VCSD, and understand that I will need to take care of things my self next time a problem like this arises. What a waste of tax dollars!

I reported really high wind. Last night my entire balcony was being thrown around everywhere. Quickly the wind came and gone. I wanted to report or ask about other calls. She says ,"ok SO call back when you have something to actually report" GZ

In general I 's like to give a feedback based on my experience with Officer McDaniel #2110 from Simi Valley.

When I was pulled over when I drove about 58 mph (speed limit 45) near my home in Thousand Oaks, he behaved very cold and indifferent about anything I talked. When I begged him for a favor and told him I have clean records and no ticket all my life, he told me he was sure this is not my first time. However yesterday when we met on court, he behaved so polite in front of the judge as a civilized officer and totally denied what he said - an arbitrary judgement I could use for my defense. The judge chose to believe such a nice officer and sentence me the full cost plus driving school.

Another funny thing is the officer cited me 61 mph. At first I don't understand why 61 not 60. when I learnt the difference between 15 mph and 16 mph over limit is about 150 USD, I came to understand the officer is very considerate, and I am sure they need money so much and no one can stop them.

Thanks to such civilized officer and right system, which serves people well in California, since 500 USD is very cheap to support such system, but wait, we have paid the one of the highest among nation - CA state income tax...

Very disappointed with them. They turned the situation around on me rather than protecting me. You have to fight crime on your own it seems these days. Cowards

If you have an ill minded individual living next door and harassing and threatening you and your family don't count on TO sheriff stuff - on my experience they even sided with bad guy and helped him to hurt my family.
