This is such a gem spot as well all the other hidden gems in colorado springs.I suggest good shoes that don't slide on sand rocky paths.I tucked n roll not wearing the proper shoes so highly suggested for a safe hike.Perfect cliffs spot to overlook the city.As well as perfect spot for meditation and Journaling:)

Absolutely stunning views!! We are new to Colorado and hiking and although we were out of breath most of the hike, it was fairly easy physically, so I’d say it’s not too bad for beginners! We found 3 caves but you had to go off trail a little and climb down some rocks to see them, don’t worry it’s not any crazy rock climbing, I’m 41, not “Fit” and I still made it, just make sure you have good shoes with good tread. Follow the Yucca Trail and The coordinates to the caves we found are :

38°52'41.6"N 104°46'33.0"W

38°52'42.1"N 104°46'33.2"W

38°52'42.7"N 104°46'33.6"W

If you copy/paste them one by one into your maps, you should be able to find them! Good luck and happy hiking!!

Sunset view from the caves well hidden but still well marked trails . Just below the upper flats. I wouldn't bring small animals or children if you can't carry them in some spots. But overall accessible. Will return for more sunset tea times.

Update: I came here for the second time to try to find the “cave outlook” but could not find the trail to take me and my friend there. Again gorgeous views, peaceful and quiet. The trail does get fairly hot because there’s not a lot of shade and lots of rock. We followed the templeton trail off of the Eden trail and I would say it’s an intermediate to advanced hike as it was steep in some areas with some downhills as well. A handful of bicycles, trail runners, and hikers. Not suitable for strollers. With everything said, this is one of the most nature filled, most gorgeous hikes, with intermediate/advanced trail options in the Colorado Springs area.

Overall I do recommend and loved this hiking area :)

Original review: Absolutely beautiful! Took my weinie dogs for a hike and they loved it. I got stung by a wasp just walking on the trail so be careful.

The views were still incredible and I definitely recommend the trails here!

Just absolutely spectacular scrambling spots and hiking trails my dog has no problems going up the rocks and we've never been disappointed with the scenery!

Fairly quick hike to the top. There are some spots where you have to climb large gaps between rocks to ascend. Several little caves to explore. Great view

Much cooler than I imagined! Loved looking inside the little cave and climbing the rocks to get there. There was more shade than I imagined so that was really nice. I liked that the trails were clearly marked as well. Parking lot is kind of small where I parked (maybe 8 cars?) But there is another larger parking lot at the top of where we hiked up to.

Good easy trail with enough up and down to make it a bit of a work out. Loop is 1.5 miles but you can explore off trail some. Not bad for a quick hike in town.

Excellent quick hike. Pretty close to off the starting point I'd say it's Is mid range hiking skill needed.. You do have to be able to grasp yourself to get in there that area. Some cool trails extending off to the left Edna may Bennett... Is awesome scenery enjoy Colorado

Great place to hike at. Loved hiking at Palmer Park because of it's awesome views of Garden of the Gods red mountains, the Olympic Center, views of Pikes Peak, the buildings of downtown Colorado Springs, and so many more.

I love Palmer Park. I grew up okay and exploring in these bluffs. As an adult, I now hike the trail regularly and I love it up here.
