Above and Beyond Auto Care

I've been going here for various reasons, for many years. I've always been happy with the price and work. I agree that Rick can be a little abrupt, but his integrity is worth that. As far as the bad reviews over the wheelchair episode, there's two sides to every story, and being handicapped doesn't make you nice, or the victim. I've dealt with some horribly rude and entitled people in wheelchairs, so.... Anyway, I am thankful the bad reviews haven't put this place out of business!

Amazing job. I just got my brakes done today and they were fast and efficient with the work. If you want a no nonsense company to work on your car, I recommend them. They don't do any sales pitch. They are there to get the job done quickly so you have more time to do other things.

Had a slew of things needing repaired.
calipers,brake pads,broke lug nut,It was nearly 500 dollars more then I had or expected.
Rick is allowing me to pay the difference in payment, I will be going back in the future.
Fair prices and quality work,not sure can top that?

I had a 2006 Subaru Forester with 223,000 miles on it that had never received any major maintenance and I needed to drive it to Texas in the middle of the summer. Needless to say, I was worried about arriving with the car intact. I first took the car to the dealership trying to get a diagnosis. They spent about 15 minutes looking at the car. Than I took it to Above and Beyond. Bill spent hours diagnosing the car for free. And his diagnosis was spot on. He was straight with me from the beginning and the work of him and his staff was superb. I particularly appreciated that he tried cleaning/ repairing parts before replacing them to try and save me money. I arrived in Texas with no problem whatsoever thanks to the hard work of his staff and him. I highly recommend Above and Beyond!

This place needs better reviews. I have inexpensively gotten both of my vehicles here and will continue to take them as long as it’s around. I can explain the problem or what I want done, and it’s fixed within hours. Much appreciation to you!

This is the best shop I have ever used. Bill is timely and the work is affordable. He will tell you what needs to be done right away and what can wait. I have never had such amazing service. The guys are kind and willing to take their time to explain what it is they are doing and why in terms that are understandable.

I went to them to get a second opinion on whether or not I need new brakes, and new axels. He said my brakes were low but not gone and I asked him about the axels. He said he would t know until they got Iin there to look. I told him that If I didn’t need new axels to do the brakes. I only needed front brakes and not new axels so he did the job. I saved so much money on my 1998 car that I wasn’t really interested in putting about $ 1500 for new brakes and axels. He understood that I didn’t want to put much money in the car. I am very happy with the way my brakes work now.

I don't know why this business gets such poor reviews. I've been here twice now for two different types of services, and only had excellent experiences. Sure, the folks who work here aren't the most talkative or outgoing, but they provide great service at great value. I recommend Above and Beyond.

Great experience!

The staff are excellent and informative. I had to get a new motor for my Hyundai due to poor cylinder performance that originated from the previous owners lack of maintenance. They sourced a certified motor in a day and had it there in a few more. This is the 2nd time I have turned to them for car work between road trip ready tune-ups and now motor replacement. They are 2-0 with great service, pricing, and quality. Highly recommend choosing them for your vehicle’s needs.

My husband & I have been taking our autos to Above & Beyond for a few years now and their customer services is AMAZING! They are friendly, helpful, & competitively priced. We always feel like we have been treated fairly.

Who says there are no honest mechanics left? Ladies/Gents take your vehicle's here and do not waste your time, energy or money going elsewhere.

Bill and his crew of outstanding technicians were honest, to the point and explained the issues with both of my cars in record time! HOw flippin refreshing is that!!! They pinpointed everything that needed to be done and left the decision of what to do entirely up to me. We discussed at length the pros/cons of what needed to be done and what could wait.

I took both my cars to a well know chain tire shop and they quoted me twice as much for the work and also stated I needed additional work that really was not needed at this juncture. I am with very limited funds and they not only found a way to fix my cars, they did it with respect, fairness, and class and it made me feel as ease and more than comfortable with the technicians and the work that needed to be done.

I cannot say enough about what a good experience this was. Both cars are performing great and saved my bacon big time. Thanks Bill and crew! Do yourself a BIG favor save your headaches and head on over to Above and Beyond, because that is truly what it is!

My 'one and only' local All Purpose Mechanic Shop. I go to them for everything on all three of my vehicles. Fair prices and good work in a timely manner. I can send my Wife or Son down to arrange for repairs and know that Bill will take the time to give them the facts instead of a 'song & dance' or try to rip them off.

i simply can't say enough good things. it's hard to find a good mechanic that you can honestly trust not to mention how scary it is pricing the cars issue around town with the many shops available. i will say this is my new mechanic, i will be a life long customer, and would recommend this shop hands down not just for the area but any place i've dealt with in my entire life. my cars issues were brake pads and rotors. was told by other shops who inspected the vehicle i also needed calipers. this place didn't try and gouge me. not only did they beat everyone elses price from oly to centralia for the job, i was advised to not needing calipers. what mechanic do you know that would tell you not to spend money you didn't need, i was none the wiser. honest, fast (same day service with a busy shop), and genuinely good people. this is what humans should be like.

Unbelievable price for brake job and they did the front ones also for safety. Very nice people and they didn't try to "up sell" me either! I paid exactly what I was quoted.

I got a Groupon for brakes and rotors and they have done a great job! Done in an hour with an appointment.

Honesty and customer service is number 1 priority with these guys. Cant say enough great things when it comes to this quality business. Best auto repair in town!

Had the check engine light come on and headed over to Above and Beyond Auto Care and within a matter of minutes Dale hopped to and fixed the problem. Although the issue was relatively minor i could not have been happier with the service. Thanks Dale!

They might seem a little preoccupied but it really is the best auto place in Olympia. They'll do their best to give you a quote upfront and give all the info. Good place.

I walked in and Bill got me in ASAP,Thanks to him and his crew I made it home safe!!! I will be back!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
