Had a transmission fail in a “new to me” car that I had only owned for 1 month. Took the car to AAMCO and they looked it over for free, told me all the issues they found, and provided options on how to proceed. I had a new transmission and water pump installed and could not be happier! Excellent service and one of the best warranty programs I have seen from a repair shop. Great guys to work with.

I'm from Vancouver and was in Lakewood for business. I was using a state car that I was unfamiliar with. I had it set in manual mode rather than automatic. I stopped in and Kimly was SO helpful and calm. He and his technicians saved my day! They looked at the car for no charge, determined the issue (user error) and gave me peace of mind to get home. My transmission was rebuilt by an AAMCO franchise in 1979. That franchise closed many years ago and I have visited 5 different AAMCO franchises over the years (4 here in Washington and one in Virginia) for annual maintenance to keep my lifetime transmission warranty in effect. Yesterday, the Lakewood AAMCO performed the annual service on my transmission. Of all of my interactions with AAMCO over the past 41 years, this was one of the best ever. Paul, the Customer Service Manager, was prompt, competent and professional and provided exceptional service. While waiting for my car to be serviced, I observed his interactions with other customers. In each case, he provided them the same level of professionalism and honesty. Highly recommend this business.

Absolutely loved Kim Lee and his team. They were amazing. They were very knowledgeable and straightforward. They ensured my son's car was up and running in fashionable timing. They took effort to also make the car was good overall. Not just over the phone, but in person as well they had impeccable customer service and good vibes. I would definitely recommend them.

Very fast... Very efficient.... Bring your own parts and labor is very reasonable... In and out 30 mins for a walk in to get my brake changed ..

After replacing my transmission, a leak developed after 200 miles; they identified a line needed replaced and did so at no additional charge.

Initially the transmission they had wouldn't work with my car so had to order another. That was expedited so I didn't have to wait 3 weeks to get. Once they had the new one they had my car fixed in very reasonable time. The car works beautifully now! The manager, Rachel, was exceptional through the delays and kept me informed! She was always very friendly, professional and courteous, despite my voiced frustrations. The mechanics are knowledgeable and I will entrust my future car repairs to this AAMCO business. They did a superb job with my car!

Quick, honest assessment. No hassling to make a buck. Gave me clear cause and solution to transmission problem, but at the same time, recognized the risks of more permanent damage being present. Car ran smoothly on the way home. Thank you very much for your service.

They reset the codes and got my car moving again. I was worried the module or the transmission were out. And they didn't charge me for this time. Will gladly return my car to them for work. Friendly and courteous.

The customer service was excellent. They did a great job on my car. They got to the point and the job that they did for my car was to the point. As a women I do not feel like I was ripped off.

I made a great choice getting my service done at AAMCO they double checked on my transmission they also told me I need to get my car flushed soon and the costumer service was great I was there for about less then an hour but I didn't mind, as long as everything is OK with my vehicle.

The gentleman that answered the phone was extremely patient, flexible and professional when making my appointment, he worked around my schedule and didn't make a big deal about it (and I have a really crazy schedule so I appreciated that). When I arrived, the atmosphere was pleasant, everyone was in a good mood and they took way less time than estimated 😁 I don't know anything about cars so when the diagnostics were printed out for me, they had no problem completely breaking it down and explaining it to me, even recommending a few good loan businesses they work with that won't take advantage of me, in case I needed another option or couldn't pay it which was a lovely touch. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone especially the ones who don't know a lot about cars because they're experienced, HONEST, accommodating, very friendly and best of all, fast. They took care of me and I will be back to work with them again. I think I just found my new car place!!!
