I'm 77 years old and was prescribed for physical therapy by my primary doctor. I have never had the therapy in my 77 years and wasn't sure if I would benefit from therapy. Therapist Dyston Madsen is excellent in his profession and has made improvement in both my shoulders. I will probably
still have pain in my shoulders, but the exercises he has me perform are
beneficial and I feel better physically and mentally performing them. I will continue doing the exercises at home, as I feel better during the day and get more sleep at night. I will recommend Dyston to anyone I know that needs physical therapy......Dyston is a definite asset to the clinic as works well with patients.

I have had a several visits with Dyston Madsen, PT, who has helped me since spinal surgery (laminectomy). Dyston was excellent: very clear directions, brought out anatomical models to show me mechanics of problems and solutions. He is clear and precise at answering my questions. He tweaked a couple exercises which immediately got his intended results. Impressive. He gave me clear exercises, usually print outs, to do after each visit. Dyston Madsen certainly had the qualities I like in a PT.

Dyston is the best PT I have ever gone to. I have referred a number of my friends to him for their needs and they are also very pleased with his ability to help and teach how we should take care of our problems, including post-surgery rehabilitation, and his bedside manners are the BEST. I am sooo thankful to have him as my professional health PT.

I had a great experience at the Multicare Rockwood Physical Therapy Center. It was easy to schedule and re-schedule appointments. The Center is clean and well-organized and everyone is friendly and helpful.

The best part was working with Dyston Madsen, DPT. He listened very carefully to my concerns, my pain levels and mobility issues. He carefully and patiently explained what was going on in my shoulder - even doing a show-and-tell with an anatomical model of the shoulder joint, so I could completely understand my problems.

He did not try to minimize or trivialize my concerns, or my pain. I do have some pretty severe damage, but he was confident that we could make improvements to my mobility and functionality, if I diligently applied myself and did my homework exercises. Then he showed me some exercises to help my shoulder work better. He acknowledged that these would cause some pain, but he encouraged me to work the joint just to the point of tolerable pain, but not to try to push too far in an effort to get quicker results. It's a process, and will take time and consistent work.

His hands were very warm and gentle. This may sound silly, but when you are in significant pain, a tender and understanding touch is very important. He supervised me doing the various exercises, making certain that I was using the correct form and positioning to properly target the area we're trying to improve. He assigned homework exercises and made certain that all my questions were answered thoroughly.

During my second visit, I had worked my shoulder pretty hard, and an ice-pack treatment was offered afterwards. I was a bit skeptical that it would help, but it actually felt very good. After 15 minutes, my shoulder actually felt much better. Dyston even went online and looked up sources where I could buy such gel ice packs for use at home. He didn't have to do that, and it was much appreciated.

I cannot recommend this facility and Dyston Madsen highly enough. It was a great, helpful experience, and I look forward to regaining shoulder mobility under his care.

This was my first visit with DPT Madsen. He is very kind, understanding, and listens. He did many tests to get a good knowledge of my problems and sent me home with two stretching exercises to do until my next appointment. I recommend him highly.

Working with Dyston has been a very positive experience. I broke both of my legs at the same time and physical therapy has greatly increased my strength and balance. I look forward to the visits.

Dyston Madsen is a Top Physical Therapist in my book. He explains what he is doing and is constantly working with you and trying to improve the movement you are to see him for and to do your PT. He also continues to update your progress and the items you need to work on to achieve your goal. This is the second time I have had Dyston as my physical therapist for my total knee replacements on both knees. I would recommend Dyston and his team at Multicare Rockwood Physical Therapy everytime. Thank you
