Love the food, atmosphere, and staff. It is a very cozy yet elegant style dining. The dim lighting and smaller, homestyle furniture provide a very romantic setting. Bring your favorite wine and enjoy the delicious perfectly prepared food.

Quaint, Old World Charm. French cuisine dining experience. It's as though time stands still.when you walk in through the front door.

I'm not sure how this place doesn't get 5 stars. I guess it's not "for everybody" but it seems like such a gem to us. The place is quirky, cozy and arguably the coolest place to stay in the region.

If you're looking for luxury, this is not for you. If you're looking for cheap and simple, also not for you.

This place is about having some authentic country charm with an eclectic and old-school vibe. The rooms are all different, but lovely. The restaurant is CONSTANTLY packed and very tasty (American Fine-Dining).

It's usually pretty easy to get a room, I'm always impressed by that. If this place were any closer to Philadelphia, it'd be a suburb of it!

Bring a bottle of champagne and put it on ice, go with someone you like to cozy up with. Bring books to read and some walking shoes. Enjoy the area and make a reservation for the restaurant early. I always suggest having your desert/brandy in front of the spectacular fireplace.

Good for any season.

Dinner for two at the restaurant on an August Tuesday night, no reservations needed -- just bring cash (no credit or debit accepted), your own wine, and your appetite. Perfect setting -- all candlelight and natural light, fine music, the most knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff, and amazing food. We had the salad with smoked duck and the vichyssoise, followed by entrees of sesame tuna and seared scallops. The four vegetables with each were sauteed snap peas, angel-hair-thin shreds of pickled carrots, a small square of potato gratin, and half a small tomato stuffed with bread crumbs and pesto. Coffee with cream to wrap it up. Will make it a point to return anytime we are in the area.

Five stars for the food & price. My husband & I love this place. We came here to celebrate our anniversary. Although we had an older woman waiting on us which was very unpleasant & seemed annoyed with her job. She sat us in the middle with high traffic area & we saw an empty table behind us so we asked if we could move..her reply was no because the table was set for 4 & we had 3 in our party. Seriously it’s that hard to move one of the settings to another table! We waited a half hour before she brought some bread to us only after the fact we had to ask for some. She finally took our order & reply’s why it was taking so long, it was because she had 2 other tables ahead of us. Well I hope she decides to retire or find a job that makes her more pleasant.

We go for special occasions, most recently our anniversary. Not real quiet but very friendly. The food is consistently excellent (We love the Creme Brulee). The service is nice and not hurried. BYOB works for us. There are wine stores in nearby Lambertville, NJ just across the New Hope bridge.

A local favorite - a server at one of our other local favorites told us that this was her favorite - and one of the best restaurants in the area. We have been there twice, recently and nearly ten years ago, and both times it was wonderful, once in the open and once in a covered area. The food was across the board excellent, the only mar to our meal was the service by one person, whom we found dismissive, but otherwise we were treated well.

The Inn at Philips is an experience. Romantic with the feel of days gone by. The entire restaurant is lit entirely by candlelight in the evening except for the entrance foyer. Wood fireplaces going in cold weather. The food is delicious with a European flair. I believe mostly all is prepared on premises including dessert. The service is impeccable. We have been several times and will keep coming back. It is also a true Inn, with rooms to book a stay. And we have had an enjoyable stay over a wknd. If you are looking for modern amenities and queen or king beds, than this might not be the place for you. It is all cash only, including a stay. Also be sure to book a dinner reservation as walk-ins are unlikely. Bon appétit!

A hidden gem in the woods on a windy road just north of New Hope. Gorgeous atmosphere, casual yet elegant space, great service, delicious food, a little taste of French countryside cooking right here in Bucks County. Our new favorite spot.

Great little place. Historic, great food, awesome ambiance. But bring cash and plenty of it. It's expensive and they don't take credit cards.
