Mt. Chestnut Nazarene Center

For the last several years we have held our annual church retreat at Mt. Chestnut and we look forward to it every year. The accommodations are perfect for us; everyone gets their own space and we are able to set up the gym to accommodate our worship space and meeting area (and still have room to shoot some hoops!). Colleen and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food is also very good. Our folks especially love the salad bar at lunch and dinner. We have been blessed to be able to hold our retreats here. Already looking forward to next year!

Wonderful place. Wonderful people. Every time I visit it's even more beautiful. Something is always changing here as the staff is always striving to make it even more welcoming to all.

It’s a quiet slice of rural Butler. The facility is welcoming and well taken care of. Colleen is wonderful to work with and Chef Mark cooks freshly made meals (none of that processed stuff). The sleeping accommodations are comfortable and have a hotel feel. Most rooms have their own private restrooms. I highly recommend for your retreat, meeting, reunion, camp, or any other gathering needs.

I grew up on the district and have been coming to this camp since I was a youngster. The Mission and emphasis has always been Jesus Christ and spreading his word to those in our lives. I have always been thrilled to spend time at Mt. Chestnut whether it’s family camp, conference, a special service, work day or just a day or two at our camper. It’s just great to enjoy the time with other like minded people and reminisce all the great times I’ve had here at this place. The staff our top notch, food service is the best and the grounds are always clean and well kept.

What a find this Retreat Center has been. Delightful, service oriented, helpful staff describes my experience holding a one day retreat in October. The staff go above and beyond to insure your success. I loved that there are scriptures everywhere reminding us of the principles we need to live by. The food service was excellent in both quality and delivery. I would highly recommend this center. I have a weekend retreat scheduled this winter.

I absolutely love the Mt. Chestnut Nazarene Center. For about 20 years I have held my ladies scrapbooking retreats at this center. The staff is amazing. They are professional, accommodating and genuinely loving in all they do for us. The food is created by Chef Mark and it is delicious. You will not go wrong by having your event with this retreat center!

Mt. Chestnut has been an answer to prayers and a faithful partner to our ministry The Berean Bible Chapel. We have had this partnership for over 6 years and we have witnessed the camp share the love of Christ to so many people with a wonderful setting here in western PA through camps, craft shows and conferences. The camp every year has had continuous improvements. If your looking for a place of excitement and fun for the Lord or just a place to recharge your batteries give Collen a call. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at Mt. Chestnut Nazarene Center . We utilize it weekly for our homeschool cooperative . The center protocols are very well organized and easy to understand . It is very clean and well kept . The staff is phenomenal . Very welcoming , kind , and professional . I enjoy interactions with them . Our time there is truly a blessing . Thank you to everyone who makes this possible for our group of 150 to congregate easily. We feel welcome every time !

I have had numerous times to relax, serve, and grow spiritually through events held at the Mt. Chestnut Nazarene Center. It is a great place to hold an event, conference, or retreat. It is also located close to the Butler Fair Grounds and Moraine State Park which makes it ideal for those like to do more than camp. There is also a pond for fishing. I would highly recommend checking out this place to see if it fits your needs.

I love working there as a hospitality assistant. I love working with the team there. Love seeing people retreating and enjoying good/great meals. And when they Thank us and tell us how much they appreciate our services I know we have done a great job.

Beautiful campgrounds and facilities. Dorm rooms are very clean. Cafeteria is clean and the food is excellent. Awesome playground for kids. I have been privileged to visit every summer since I was a child. Some of my most wonderful memories were made on this campground.

The Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center is a great and the staff is very accommodating. They take a lot of pride in upgrading and improving the facilities.

We keep our camper here all year round. Peaceful and relaxing, lots of stuff to do around here. Great family camp and great setting.
