Smokey Bandit Barbecue

Glad we stopped by! The pulled chicken is sneaky good, don't overlook it. Ribs when paired with the sauce are "best in the area". Loved my pulled pork sandwich and the brisket as well! Was worried the mac n cheese could be bland, but it was flavorful. Collard greens had bacon hunks in it which was a yummy surprise.
CT knows his BBQ. We'll be back! Gotta try the sweet tea next time.

My husband and I really enjoyed our food. My husband had the catfish and the brisket platter. I had the smoked chicken cheese steak. 2 thumbs up. We will definitely be coming back.

I've had barbecue in the past 20 years, but this was the finest! The collards, mac and cheese, and pulled pork are all outstanding, and the mac and cheese has that delightful pull that comes from just the right amount of cheese! The chicken and rubs will definitely tempt me to return the following time! Your taste buds will be grateful for the delicious supper!

Great hidden little gem! Don't let the outside throw you off just walk in. They are so friendly especially Lisa, she was awesome! I ordered the pulled pork meal with baked beans, slaw, corn bread and it was all so good. The pork was very tender and juicy. The side are huge and I mean huge. I got like a bucket of slaw and beans. My wife got the ribs and they were good too. Just know they are a dry rub still. She got a bucket of Mac and cheese that was also terrific considering I'm not even a fan of Mac and cheese. In the end the service from Lisa just crushed it! She knew history about the building and was a delight to talk to and was super attentive. We will be back!

Awesome food, super friendly, and just very authentic. Decided to randomly stop by and was not disappointed. Tried the ribs, mac n cheese, and collards; some of the best BBQ in the area.

2023- just wanted to update this review. We moved a few towns over but just recently ordered catering from smokey bandit for a party of 10. Listen. The food was just as fantastic, and it was soooo plentiful! We definitely had leftovers. Next time I have to remember to order the candied Carrots. So don't forget about this place for your catering needs!

We live within walking distance and occasionally walk past the American Legion and Smokey Bandit BBQ sign. Tonight, my husband said, "let's eat bbq tonight", and sent me the number to call in. Called in to order and was immediately greeted by Diane who was in process of putting the sweet potatoes in the oven. I hadn't even looked at a menu, but Diane was kind enough to walk me through all the delicious entrees for the night, even recommending a sampler. (We did decline on the sampler, though, since we just had chicken last night and didn't want it again today.) We committed to the bbq rib entree and the pulled pork entree that comes with 2 side each. We of course got the sweet potatoes and collard greens, and mac &cheese, baked beans, cole slaw, and the most delicious corn bread. Everything was so incredibly delicious. This place is the definition of "hole in the wall goodness"! We sat outside on the picnic table to enjoy our meal. We ordered the brisket platter and rib platter. So much food! We were staying in a local hotel so we didn't take our leftovers but we had plenty. Two people could split a platter. Don't sleep on the Mac and cheese or glazed carrots guys running the show were awesome. This place is a hidden gem. Dine in consists of sitting inside the VFW [smoking permitted) so we opted for outside. The bonus is a full bar to get your favorite refreshment. Bartender was super nice. Most people apparently get take out or door dash. If ever back here again we will be stopping by.

Just ordered from Smokey Bandit Barbecue for the first time and it was amazing. Food was incredible. Take out packaging kept everything fresh and hot. Awesome authentic barbecue spot!

food was well prepared, the ribs falls off the bone tasty with their magic sauce. Chicken servings was just right, everything tasted home made. Hole in wall greatest indeed. Don't judge a book by its cover

In terms of their meat offerings, I can only speak to the BBQ pulled chicken, but it is sooooo good! I had no idea BBQ chicken could be so good and have so much flavor. Whatever they do with the smoking, its phenomenal.

In terms of sides, the macaroni and cheese is the best I've ever had from somewhere. Usually, I don't order Mac n cheese because it's always a disappointment from what one can make at home, but I'm glad I ordered it. It's very, very, very good.

OMG! One of the best BBQ PLACES EVER!!! Amazing Dry Rub Ribs and I don't even like dry rub! Fell off the bone before we took it off the plate! The Brisket is top notch! Courtney wanted carrots, I hate carrots.. the Cider Glazed Carrots are phenomenal and the Mac and Cheese is soooooo creamy!

I thought for sure that they would mess up the cornbread.. but NOPE!! It was so... moist and not overly moist either!

But the best part? The friendly staff, Lisa and June are both very awesome! Made sure everything was great and provided excellent service!

The music was top notch with every genre hitting the best songs!

Home Smoked Bar B Q comes to Willow Grove at American Legion Liberty Post 308. Smokey Bandit has survived the Pandemic... increased their staff and just installed a new smoker. Take Out is great and now the outdoor dining is open as well. Come join us at 2305 Computer Rd, Willow Grove.

WOW, excellent Brisket and green Beans. I lived IN KC, and not that this is better, but for a small place in the back of the VFW outside of Philly it was Fantastic!!!

Recently had a catering order for 20 at my work. The food was excellent !!!
Ordered the brisket, pulled chicken, Mac, and green beans. Followed up by cornbread and sweet tea. Everything was awesome and the cornbread was life changing! Smoke was great, not overpowering, super moist and very flavorful. This place is doing it right!

Ordered a few items to try out and so glad I did. It’s a super small place and off the beaten path. (Not far, just not on the main road) was in the mood to “pig” out..... *dad joke* I got a half rack of ribs, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and cider glazed carrots. The ribs literally fell off of the bone. There was no meat left behind. It was tender and dare I say it... moist. (Sorry people that hate the word but I don’t want dry meat lol) The carrots were really good and the mac n cheese was extra creamy and delicious. The pulled pork was also awesome. I personally don’t like my stuff drenched in sauce. They gave me just enough bbq sauce and you can also order extra. Everything was fast and my pickup was friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend if in the mood for a local BBQ

Great pulled pork sandwich!! Flavors are delightful you can really taste the smoke with the savory bbq in the sandwich. Will be trying ribs next!

excellent bbq!! I’m staying at a hotel nearby, I called my order for pickup and it was ready by the time I arrived! I love the presentation with all the plastic containers - makes it easy!! I will return when I’m back in the area! I got the The brisket platter

Delicious food, tender meat, nice portion sizes, service was courteous and timing was great. Can't wait to come back and try the ribs.
