Chase Bank

I have several rental properties in several states and also multiple banks I do business with. This Chase branch in Washington City is by far one of the best! A while ago I had a problem with a property in California, I needed a notary for some critical documents that needed to be sent ASAP! I remembered this bank had notaries, so I went over there without an appointment. When I got there I was told by one lady I needed an appointment. Sean Cowan one of the guys that has a cubicle near the front door, came out and asked me what I needed. He stated "I can help you, just let me finish with my customer and I'll take care of you". The lady customer left and he looked over my documents, got my ID and then notarized my critical documents. He also made additional copies for me saying" Just in case you need them". Meanwhile the scheduled customer came in and Sean politely told her he was finishing up with me. I took out a wad of money to pay him for saving me untold problems, he politely refused saying as a Chase customer it was FREE! I profusely apologized for showing up without an appointment and again he told me "No problem", glad he could help. I noticed there isn't a lot of help there but the people working there are always friendly and striving to attend to the customers needs. In dealing with my other banks I noticed they are also "short staffed" and always filled with new faces, part time help. The trend now days for the lending institutions are more "On Line" oriented and less "people" friendly. In seeing some of the comments made about this bank, I get the impression the customers are in a rush, and need to be attended to immediately. They will probably be better served with an on line bank. Many of us old timers fondly recall the old days when the good old fashioned "customer service" was the most important quality a bank could give you. In Southern Utah life is slower paced, a hand shake, respect and common courtesy still abound. I really appreciate Sean's professionalism, customer service skills and his attention to detail. I don't mind waiting in line to conduct my business at this Chase Branch with people like him working there ready to give you that personal attention that makes all the difference!

Great branch as is the one on Tabernacle as well. I think the reason why the reviews are so low is because people generally do not think to review their bank when they have a good experience....only when they have a bad experience. Chase has been great to me through the years and I love their online software and they have wonderful staff!

Also when I short sold my houses during the recession, they did not close my credit card where Bank of America did, and I’ve always appreciated that about Chase.

I’ve been here several times to deposit, get something notarized, etc and never had a problem. The staff have always been helpful and took care of my quickly. I know chase as a company isn’t the best but the people here have always been great, so I continue to use them often.

They were very polite and helped us with our issue.

Am surprised at all the negative reviews. I’ve had no problems... KNOCK ON WOOD!!
UPDATE: Opps... now I’ve had a couple of problems..fairly serious ones but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. ....hoping these don’t reoccur.

Clean place, seems to be busy quite often. They are great about acknowledging you shortly after entering, which is super helpful so you don't stand in line for the wrong thing.

Forget trying to talk with a bank employee over the phone. They don’t answer. I just had a quick easy question and ended up having to drive down to the bank to be able to talk with them.

Made an appointment for 3 to do something simple, it’s now 3:20 and we still haven’t spoken with anyone. Pretty unimpressive. We were considering getting a mortgage with these jokers too!!! Probably not going to happen given this experience

The staff are excellant and professionals. Never enough staff. Almost always a rediculous wait time. Hire some more help I am sure the bank makes plenty of profit.

If I could leave a 0 star review. Absolutely horrible customer service and no outside ATM's working and only 1 person inside who was rude as ever. Don't bank with chase bank
