I was looking for a needle in a haystack. I wanted a particular car, in a particular color, with specific features and within my budget. A Google search brought me to Jim Babish Auto Sales and the reviews online seemed too good to be true.

My experience was that from the moment I reached out the whole team at JBAS were phenomenal. I live in Houston so I never had the chance to meet them in person, but I felt like I had made some new friends across the country. They answered all my questions, the paperwork was so quick and painless and they arranged for my car to be shipped to Houston a day later.

Throughout they sent me pictures and kept me updated. I never thought buying a used car would be fun but this was genuinely a fun interaction which only added to my overall excitement about finding the perfect car.

I had been looking for a specific vehicle to replace my dying SUV when I found the perfect replacement at Jim Babish Auto Sales. Driving almost 300 miles to buy a car requires some trust on both sides, and I wasn't disappointed. After looking for a Toyota Sequoia for months, I knew their price was more than fair. They made me a reasonable offer on my (dying) trade-in. I was nervous that I would start driving and would get a call or text that someone had beat me to the punch, but they waited for me to arrive and held the car despite high interest. And they had the paperwork ready and waiting ensuring that our time was spent wisely. The vehicle was as described. Their pictures and communication on the front end were accurate and honest. This was the ONLY dealership I found who posted pictures of the vehicle undercarriage, which mattered a great deal in my decision. Matt took very good care of us, and our new car is exactly what I was looking for at a more-than-fair price.

Bought vehicle sight unseen based on web listing and phone interaction with Justin. They helped with some things I wanted done prior to delivery, some on them... some at my expense. Nice place to browse for a used car. Prices are a tad high, however I know they go over these vehicles very well before selling them, so price is justified. They really have a nice workshop, prepshop with vehicle lifts, and good tools. I've personally bought a bunch if vehicles there, and out of all, only one was a dud. Also bought one of the very best vehicles I've owned from them. Lasted 13 years before rust took her away.

Wow! We were thrilled with the whole process and, of course, the vehicle. I’ve never bought a car without really checking it out heavily first, and these guys were 5 hours away from us. They went out of their way to be super thorough on the phone leading up to the sale and were flexible with helping us get it done quickly. Everybody we dealt with was friendly, honest, and down to earth. When we got there it was in even better shape than they described…

I scooped a 71 Dodge Dart Swinger with only 27,000 miles and in mint condition. It drove home better than my 2021 Bronco Sport! Unreal. What a tremendous score.

I had a great experience with Matt and Justin buying the Ram 2500 v10. They are great place to shop when looking for rare, unique cars or trucks. I traded in a low mileage collector truck that they valued appropriately for the trade instead of giving an extremely low ball offer like most dealers that do a quick internet kbb search. Having the knowledge about rare/unique and low mileage vehicles and correctly valuing them is something most dealers are unable to do well but it was clear the staff at Jim Babish know how to handle that market and have quality vehicles for sale. Matt was very professional and helpful and even expediently mailed the original window sticker that I forgot to ask for while I was there. If you are in the market for a quality collector or rare truck I highly recommend Jim Babish auto sales.

The bottom-line is yes, I would buy from Jim Babish Auto Sales. They have quality vehicles in great condition that are priced fairly with relatively low mileage. The experience from initial contact to vehicle delivery was pleasant and everyone involved was kind and knowledgeable. At no time did we feel stressed nor “pushed” into any unnecessary additional products/services. We’re from Buffalo, NY which is approximately four and a half hours north of their location. We bought a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis which is in excellent condition (minus a few scuffs on each bumper which were filled with touch up paint, but that is expected given prior owner history and age of the car). We came across them in late October 2023, and I inquired through their website. There were photos of the vehicle, including the underside and identified paint blemishes and a Carfax report provided. Within 24 hours I received a phone call from Justin; he spent the time with me on the phone answering my questions and function checking the car. I discussed with family that evening and the next day, I said that we’d be in Johnstown Monday morning to see the car and test drive it and put a deposit down.

There are several vehicles on their lot, ranging from classic cars from the 70s to modern daily drivers. Walking into their building is like a trip down memory lane. There are numerous diecast and model vehicles on shelfs; magazines; photographs from their adventures over time; license plates from around the country; a television; even one of those little kid car shells a child can sit in (like the ones in malls). They even have a map of the USA with pinpoints of locations where vehicles are sold to. The most being centered in the North Eastern US, but I couldn’t find a state in the contiguous US that didn’t have one. It’s a nice and warm home-like feel.

We were greeted by Tom and then Justin and went to their shop behind the main building and saw the car. Their shop is equipped with the tools necessary to handle all things automotive. They have a crew that knows how to detail cars in a good way to make what is there shine even further. They did just that with the car we bought. We were given time needed to inspect the vehicle and they were upfront about what was wrong with the car – which was already known from them being upfront in their ad. After inspecting the car (which we found no new major issues) it was taken outside and we went on a test drive and the car performed exactly as it should. We drove back and decided to buy. We were offered an extended warranty, but we declined at that time and were given the option to enroll later. At no point was anyone pushy or trying to make us think we made a bad choice by not going with it; they were simply presenting an option to us and talked to us in a respectful manner. We then sat down with Matt and signed the paperwork, and got vehicle shipping arranged. They partner with a shipping group and the vehicle was delivered on a trailer to us no later than 24 hours after purchasing it.

We waited to write this review. We bought the car Monday; had it delivered via their shipping service on Tuesday; and the remainder of the week got it insured, registered, and inspected by our mechanic. We’ve spent time driving it since and are happy to report that our family is pleased with our purchase. The car sold was exactly what was advertised and what we we’re looking for. A low mileage, clean and clear titled vehicle that is ready to go.

We rate the entire experience five stars out of five stars. The total price we paid for the car and the associated costs were within our budget, and it was priced fairly based on Edmunds/KBB/mileage/condition and similar vehicles sold by competitors.

Matt and Justin were outstanding - Matt was patient, very knowledgeable and was not pushy nor pressured me to buy this vehicle, he is an excellent car salesman! Probably the best salesman I’ve ever worked with. I was flying from Arkansas to Johnstown, Pennsylvania which is about 3 hours flight time, my flight was delayed on my connection flight Dallas for up to 3 hours, i told Justin I would be getting their late and hoped they could stay open for me and sure enough he did, I got there about an hour after close and it was a quick and easy process, took care of me within 30 minutes and I was headed back home in this awesome ranger! Out of state purchase was A++! Nationwide, long-term searching for a good deal on an older motorhome finally brought me to the right RV at Jim Babish Auto Sales. I was incredibly skeptical and worried about such a big purchase being out of state and not being able to inspect the vehicle. Their online pictures clearly documented some damage so I called and spoke with Tom several times on the phone so I could get more information. I felt like I was being told the truth about the vehicle and was fine with the damage shown, I just wanted to make sure it ran well and the things listed were really working. I probably could have hired an independent person to look at it, but I had been looking for such a long time, I decided to take the plunge. After I bought the RV and wired the money, I received verification and Tom and Justin began working quickly to get me the title, purchase agreement, registration info and the shipping company who could bring me my new rig. Unfortunately after several weeks, we found it difficult to find someone to bring the rig (was also during hurricane season to North Carolina!), so I called to let them know I would fly in and Justin got me a great deal on a car rental from the Pittsburgh airport so I was able to quickly, easily and cheaply get dropped off and drive my RV home. I did a walk-through with the team when I got there and took pics with everyone since I was excited! Turns out, it was exactly what I was looking for and the damage was what I had expected from their pictures as well as normal wear and tear on an older vehicle. I was a little nervous about driving it all the way back home on my own, but Jim Jr. and Sr. assured me their team had taken a look at everything and I would get home safely. Sure enough, brakes and wheels and driving was really smooth and I got home safe and sound. Thank you for the great experience! Over a month ago we found a great place to shop for a vehicle at Jim Babish Auto Sales.. We traveled 5 hours to buy a 2010 Ford Conversion Van. Justin was a big help in showing us around and explaining the history of the van. We took the cable car to Asiago's restaurant on the mountain and then drove home in a storm at night. Great place to purchase a vehicle. These guys were very honest and upfront about a old school truck i was buying that needed some TLC under the hood. They were EXTREMELY lenient and flexible with me when it came to payment and allowed me to strike up an arrangement over time. Had to be the longest "sale pending" in the history of their lot haha but they definitely worked with me and were more than patient and fair. Despite being a long distance transaction, Matt was great and easy to deal with on the paperwork side. And Anne on the transportation side was very expedient with getting my new old truck to me far quicker than anticipated. Pleasant transaction indeed all the way around.
