This is NOT a fancy bar, but that's why I love it! It's just a spot to have a beer. The people are friendly and the bar tender only seen us a couple times but knows what we drink when we walk in. They also have Wednesday wings. My husband likes them.

Wings were good but the service was OUTSTANDING. I don't know if you have tried to eat/drink at places around town, but in general, the service is severely lacking. They should come study customer service at the Alcove. Beer was refreshed at the very end of the last sip. Employees introduced themselves. They were very welcoming to our new faces. They take pride in what they're doing there.

Good drinks, good prices, friendly staff, friendly crowd. Wing nights at the time of this posting are on Wednesdays. True to tradition, this establishment is cash only. Highly recommend.

Been coming for 20 years.the bartenders are like family to me.and the prices are good.wings are good.many good memories her.i do miss a few of the old bartenders like Jackie ; flo; and max.but will always keep returning.keep up the good work guys.

Try the Spring Robin. A custom drink made by bartender "Robin" that taste just like "Juicy Juice". Dont have too many. They sneak up on you

Very nice bar and bartenders are always friendly, polite and professional. Like the place. Nice little hideaway in the Westend section of Johnstown.
