Terry Day Park ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the things I love about living in Boise is how much green space we have. The number of parks that we have never ceases to amaze me. Each one has their own distinct personality. These photos were taken on 6/2/23, when I stumbled upon this park while out running an errand. It’s one I had always meant to visit, but hadn’t.. I wasn’t able to go all the way back into the park because it was getting close to closing time. Enjoy!

This is a medium-sized playground that seems well-maintained, but its biggest unique feature is a zipline with a seat that every kid seems to LOVE.

It has swings, shaded picnic tables, slides and other typically playground equipment, tennis courts, restrooms, and large grassy areas.

The only negative to this playground is that it sits relatively close to the very busy Federal Way, but as long as you keep an eye on them, it's not a problem. It's still relatively quiet.

Fun park, equipment is dark so a bit hot for the summer. Picnic tables were great. We passed through on a trip and needed a park to eat in and let the 4 kids stretch their legs. Also needed potty. Well maintained park.

Bathrooms were acceptable even for the girls the in our group.

It’s a small park with a big heart. Whenever I see a kid on that jungle gym / zip line, I wish I was a kid again so I could go on a ride and enjoy it as much as them. The pond has a nice variety of birds, but good luck catching a good pic of that heron (always takes off on ya!). I like to bring a burrito over from Adelita’s to munch while I give the stink eye to dogs waking past. There’s a few squirrels here that enjoy snacky’s, but they are bit more leery of humans than my regulars down by the river.

This is a nice, simple park for families. The zip-line makes it a family favorite. The play equipment is modest, but entertaining. They have tennis courts, a small field and a scenic walk around a pond. They have picnic tables to sit in the shade and a sheltered picnic area for birthday parties. They have single-person bathrooms and water fountains.

The park is a little more difficult to get to from Federal Way in the sense that you have to make sure you are aware of what street you came from when turning onto Federal Way so you know whether to take a right or left onto Federal Way in order to find the park. For example, if you take Kootenai Street to get there, then you would need to turn RIGHT onto Federal Way to get to the park on the Right-hand side of Federal Way. If you take Overland Road to get there, then you will need to turn LEFT onto Federal Way to get to the park on the LEFT-hand side of Federal Way.

Terry Day park is not a big one. Though it's a good one. From a playground to t track to walk around or even run. Small water pond grass to play in and the kids area is very soft ground in case they fall. But fir the kids they also have a small zip line. And let me tell you my kid is 6 and LOVES that little zip line.

Great park. Only downside is the goose poo, but that's not anyone's fault.

Great place to throw my daughter's birthday party, plenty of space. The only complaint is the parking lots. The one parking lot that is closest to the tables and the playground only holds maybe 10 cars and there is another parking lot off of Federal Way, but it is difficult for people to find the park from there.

Great location and fun zip line for the kids. The pond is also a great place to just sit and ponder.

Terry day park is awesome. One of my children’s favorite parks to go to. The zip line is the number one attraction. It’s fun for the parents with still a little bit of children inside of us! The small nature walk is great! The have some pretty beautiful birds who live there!

Love to take the kid's to this Park cuz all of the equipment is fairly new + in great shape , the couple of times that I've been here it's never been too crowded, there's a restroom and a grip of covered benches located close enough to the play-set that you can post up and still see your kid's play!! Ohh yeah and the kids favorite part is it has a zip-line thing that's pretty awesome

This park is super cute! Has lots of shade and tables to sit at. It also has a walking path. I took the stroller and had no issues with it! This park also has tennis courts! I love how private it seemed, although there were a good amount of people. The toys are great!

This park has a nice size playground and a mini Zipline! It also has a small pond with ducks. Nice open space for a picnic. My kids rode around with their bikes and scooters. Will definitely go again.

One of our favorite parks. The zip line is lots of fun and is a great ice breaker too, since the kids usually have to line up to ride it. Good playground surface--no loose wood chips. There's also a walking path, a fish pond, a climbable cherry tree, and a fine view across the valley. Not much parking though!

One of the best hidden parks in the area. Medium sized. Has a great area for kids to play: jungle gym, swings, etc. Several picnicking benches and some metal picnicking benches with roofs. Bathroom that are kept really clean. Artificial lake with walking/jogging paths all around it and a decent size field for things such as soccer.

Only downside is the parking area is a little on the small side.
