Mercedes-Benz of St. George

The service has always been friendly, courteous, and timely. I have had a problem with some warning lights and messages coming on my instrument panel indicating the ESP was inoperative, active brake assist function limited, active blind spot assist inoperative, and active lane keep assist inoperative and to see the operator’s manual. In addition, the check engine warning light has come on simultaneously or independently from the other messages. Simultaneously, the cruise control becomes nonfunctional and the acceleration is delayed when driving. These have all occurred intermittently. I have mentioned them to the service representative several times previously when the car was in for service, however, he has told me there is nothing he can do unless the messages are active when they look at it and to bring the vehicle in when the messages are on. This is difficult to do. Generally, the messages go away when I stop the engine and restart it. This has been a frustration to me since my permanent residence is 500 miles from the dealership and it is not always convenient to stop by the dealership when I am in town or possible when I am at my home residence when the messages appear. Recently I had a windshield wiper quit working while driving in a rainstorm on the interstate. When I took my vehicle in for repair I was helped by a new service representative named Bill Bertram. I told him that all the messages and function failures mentioned above had occurred during our trip. He was not familiar with the problem but took the time to note them in the repair order and refer them to the service technician. I understand the service technician was readily familiar with the situation and said a new lens hood was needed. This has been replaced and I am anxious to confirm the problem is resolved. I just picked the car up (after a surprisingly high cost of over $700 to replace the lens hood) and haven’t had time to drive it enough to see if the problem is fixed. I am disappointed that the prior service representative and service technicians could not diagnose the problem earlier. I give a shout out to Bill and the recent service technician for being more responsive to resolving the problem. The rating indicated relates to the most recent service. Although I thought prior services were good I don’t feel enough attention was given to the problem or the personnel were not trained or experience enough to resolve the problem (while the car was still under warranty.

My brake lights came on and Bill Bertram, my service consultant immediately ordered the parts. He also gave me a few options for service times. My car was freshly washed and waiting for me in a few hours. Superb service!

A long time ago, I began an investigation to travel in the most comfortable way, with the requirement of having a vehicle that allows us to isolate ourselves and be off the grid for as long as possible. There are THOUSANDS of options out there to choose from. After searching for nearly a year, my wife and I recently decided to embark on an adventure, and we acquired a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van customized by Storyteller Overland to explore this country and discover its wonders. Several months have passed since we started our journey. The van has become our new home, and we have complete confidence in the quality and service that Mercedes Benz provides. Recently, on our route through Utah, we decided to visit the Peek A Boo slot canyon. To reach this canyon, we had to take a sandy trail, on which unfortunately a CV axle was damaged, leaving us stranded for one night. We managed to secure an appointment at Mercedes Benz of St. George, where Erika Bergeson and Andrew Sheridan provided us with the best of care. Not only did they greet us with a warm smile, but they also understood our traveler's predicament and made every effort to get us back on the road in no time. They performed routine service on my Sprinter and fixed the axle so quickly!We were back on the road to continue our adventures in St. George without wasting

Service was excellent. The staff were friendly, courteous, and honest. They were very helpful. I started to feel unwell while at the dealership and one of the workers helped me out.

The people at the service department are great, however, the quality of the Gl450 leaves a lot to be desired. It’s too expensive to maintain and major items have broken down this year. I have had numerous SUV’s and none of them have been as bad as this one. Air suspension keeps going out, $5k and now front transverse gone, another $$4,800. This SUV is not worth what I have spent this year on the vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes, just not as reliable as others on the road. The guys at the service department, however, are great!
