This old bank turned restaurant is a great place to eat and just marvel at the atmosphere, I wish I had remembered to take pictures, but I forgot as we were with friends and the food was so appetizing that I totally forgot. Only got a picture of the sign outside. We had 6 in our group, and everyone was pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service was! Hubby and I had the chicken pot pie, with the crust, it was very good! My friend and I had pickled beets, very good, nice warm dinner rolls, hubby got mild hot wings, he said about the best sauce he's ever had, there was chicken stir fry, fried Salisbury steak, a club sandwich and can't think of the other meal 😋 anyway, all very good. I got the brownstone cheesecake, which had a brownie bottom, regular cheesecake in the middle and a layer of almost like a chocolate mousse top and it was fabulous. The waitress was so nice and accommodating to us even as busy as she was. We went on a Sunday afternoon. We would all highly recommend and are looking forward to going back even though we live an hour away!

Very cool old bank building converted into a restaurant with an extensive menu with decent prices. The chicken parm with linguine was good and the chicken was tender, although the sauce was a little watery but it had a nice, simple garlic tomato flavor to it. The chicken pot pie was excellent, very flaky golden crust with a side of delicious homemade mashed potatoes. Excellent, attentive service and great coffee, too. Such a wonderful find while passing through the area.

First off, this place is beatutiful! You can tell it has some type of history attached to this building. Im so glad they also have a parking lot! I had the steak and eggs. The steak was lacking a bit flavor but everything else was great! The servers are so nice and welcoming.

First time here. Menu has large variety of choices at very reasonable prices. Staff was very welcoming and super friendly. Food was off-the-charts good except french onion soup was disappointing. That's the only thing there was any fault with. I highly recommend going here for a great meal that bests most places.

Very busy for a Monday.... But the service was great. The waitress was super friendly. The sandwiches were hot and served quickly. We saved room for pie from the long list on the dessert menu.

We went with our daughter and son-in-law and had the choice of brunch or lunch since we arrived very close to 11: 00 am. They were gracious and helpful and we had a delicious meal. Looking forward to going again.

First, food is great and you get a lot for what you pay for.
More importantly, I have a wiley toddler and he was in a mood this morning and the staff was great. They brought muffins, unprovoked, for my son and my nephew while we were waiting for the food to come. And then on the way out they handed us snacks for the kids with smiles, regardless of how grumpy and loud they were.

Best Food and service around. We were upstairs and our server today was Five Stars. The food was perfect. Stuffed cabbage, fried clam strips are legit, soups fantastic. We are going back next week!

Did a Google Search for restaurants along our route from Jim Thorpe to Lancaster & Brownstone popped up. Looked interesting. We wanted a quick sandwich & wanted to sit away from others.... still in Pandemic mode. They sat up upstairs. We were attended to promptly by the friendliest waitress we ever met. Beautifully restored Bank into a quaint Cafe. Don't miss this gem.

Never thought I’d give a 5 star review for a casual breakfast spot, but this place deserves it. Went on back to back days with a friend in town from Alaska. Both of us were blown away by the quality of the food, the scarily quick service, and ridiculously low prices. On top of the restaurant itself being great, the location makes it even cooler...inside an old bank. I recommend this place to anyone who likes delicious food, served quickly, at more than reasonable prices.

An absolute gem - authentic stick-to-your ribs cooking, lots of daily specials, great food, great breakfasts, great prices. The restaurant resides in an old bank. The building is a fine example of brown stone architecture - a stone local to central PA, it is a somewhat soft, carveable stone that was usually rendered in large comfy pillow-shaped blocks giving buildings made of it a solid dependable feel - perfect for the bank that this structure used to be. It also lends a great look and ambiance to this restaurant. Check out the original bank vault. Order one of the specials and dig in!

Great food and neat experience to eat in a building previously a bank. Kudos to the owners for their vision and great food! Definitely going back if ever in the area.
