CJ's American Pub & Grill

What a lunch. We wanted an alternative to fast food. 5 minutes off 81 but worth it. Had amazing Pulled Pork Beef sandwich. GO GET A BULLHOG. Great fries and awesome sauces BBQ. They had a selection on menu great. Chipotle BBQ is super delicious. I know from outside don't look like much but food was incredible. I hope many find this hidden gem in Shippensburg. We might be back :) we live in New Jersey 3 hours away great job!! Waitress friendly and perfect.

Kim was our bartender/waitress and she is wonderful! My guy started off with a side salad and for his entree the seafood fra diavolo and I had the southwestern salad with chicken. Everything was delicious! Great choices on the menu but a bit pricey

No matter the ages or dining needs of people in your party CJ's are MASTERS of the casual dining experience: I went there for a family dinner to celebrate a child's birthday. I was nervous about whether a "Pub" would be an appropriate place to go. The "Pub" portion of the restaurant looked very cozy with a lot of wood decor and table booths lining the wall. Under different circumstances, the Pub looked like a great place to dine for adults. However, since a member of our party has mobility issues and we had a child in our party, I was concerned because the booths are elevated 6-12" above the restaurant floor. While this makes viewing the TVs across the room much better, some may find the booths a bit difficult to get in and out of. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that our hostess took us to a different room which was perfectly set up for family dining. We were given a booth (not elevated 😊) and everyone fit comfortably. During our dinner, we dined on burgers, chicken fingers, fries, salads, and desserts. Everything we were served was outstanding. The quality of the food and care in preparation is evident. I was also highly impressed with our waitress. She did an EXCELLENT job of anticipating our needs. For example, when we told her that someone in the party had a fish allergy, not only did she think to ensure that meal was cooked separately, she also informed us that the fries were cooked in a separate fryer to ensure there was no accidental exposure via the cooking oils. I have never seen a waitress (or restaurant for that matter) handle a food allergy request so kindly and thoroughly. It truly made the night of that individual to be treated with such dignity. We all had a wonderful time at CJ's!

The best restaurant in Shippensburg. My favorites: brisket, filet, ribs, Cameron burger, and bullhog sandwich. The weekly specials are always great as well. Shippensburg is lucky to have a place like this. It is the best.

Lovely meal with a great recommendation from the server for steak tacos with lime crema and pico de Gallo. They were amazing as was the Mac and cheese that I got as a side! I'll be back soon!

This place is AMAZING! For starters, everything on the menu is delicious! You can tell the chef cares...like the Caesar Salad being placed on the grill, just it give it that smoke flavor in it. The freaking crab cakes has NO FILLER! The Blacken Chicken & Shrimp alfredo was probably some of the Best I had.
It was 9 of us (our son's 21st birthday)...so we were all tasting from each other's plate. The BOOM BOOM SHIRMP .... just amazing! The Buffalo Chicken Dip...is to die for...seriously, Get the Boom Boom Shrimp & that Dip... & you might fall out your seat.
They have a great beer menu, my Guinness was done right. Then if you get a chance... get the smoke prime rib! REALLY! Just see the pictures...asparagus were amazing...the mash potatoes were whipped to perfection! I wish I took more... but we will definitely be back. Please keep it up...this was the best bar/grill we've been too.

Drinks were perfect and the food was beyond amazing. Seriously at the top of my list for best food I've ever had eating out. Our server was great too! We'll definitely visit again!

The food and service were both amazing! The smoked brisket was so tender and flavorful. The Key Lime Parfait was a light and tasty finish to the meal. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her tortellini primavera. We will choose CJ's again.

This place supersede my expectations. I allow Ms. Kim our waiter to pick my meal and dessert and everything was delicious!! Next time I'm in town for business again I will be back!

We were there in October for my husband's birthday. The food was amazing. I had the shrimp, hubby had the brisket.

Awesome Pub/Grill for any night of the week.

Atmosphere: CJ's was warm and inviting on the inside.

Service: Crystal, our waitress, handled our 25+ person party like a champ. She is the Gold standard when it comes to waitressing! Everything was accurate and prompt.

Food: The steak was beyond perfect. Salad was fresh.

Working out of town so this was our first visit and I wish I would have taken pictures! Crab nachos and a steak salad with some wings on the side... Nachos were the Best!
Real lettuce and the steak was great. Wings were cooked just right. Waitress was Wonderful and super friendly!!! If you're in the area be sure to stop

Great place to go after Ship football or anytime! Food is always fresh, they smile and have fast service! Had a rehearsal dinner here 2 years ago and service and food were excellent then also.

Wow! I wish I’d taken pictures in advance but everything was amazing! My husband is very picky about his old fashioned but he was very happy and my cucumber margarita… top notch! We had the nachos with home cooked chips along with cream of crab soup and grilled Caesar salad. Everything was awesome! Great recommendation from our hotel front desk!

The food and staff were exceptional!! The crab nachos were amazing!!! Everyone enjoyed their food!! Only suggestion..more bacon the avocado blt the bread is so thick and there was only like 2-3 whole pieces on it. We loved this place!! Oh yea..sweet tea is amazing!!

A great local bar with awesome food. We dropped in on a recommendation from another bar and we were not disappointed. The bar tender Jake was just the best. Friendly local folks who made us laugh. Pam, John and Kevin made for a super fun day. Go, you will have fun and the chef in the kitchen is cranking out delicious Food!

Great food and great service. Was in town for a baseball tournament. Ate there Friday night with a family and Saturday we went with about 25 people from the team. We called after the game and they said come right over we could have the back room even though it was set up for a party later that day. They really took care of all of us on short notice. The service with 25 if us there was awesome as was the food. I would highly recommend this place.
