Carsonville Hotel

Great atmosphere, the food was all great (including some of the best peanut butter pie I’ve ever had in my life!), friendly staff.

The Crab Blossoms were a great start to our meal. I enjoyed a BLT (stacked full with bacon) while my girlfriend enjoyed their hot roast beef sandwich and fries. The bartender was great and suggested a few drink options, and made a good Old Fashioned. Ended with dessert in a to-go container because we would never have been able to eat it all.

Neat history with the mug club and the original pewter mugs on the wall. Looking forward to the deck opening soon!

Delicious steak and the ONLY place I eat wings!!! Crispy, not slimy and fatty like other wings. Love this place!!!

It was an absolutely amazing establishment that had exceptional food, service, and atmosphere. I had the 24 oz T- bone, which was cooked to perfection. It was exactly as I remembered it from when my parents would take my brother and I there.

The food is really good, but on the pricy side and prices are not on the menu, you will have to scan the QR code if you like to know how much everything is, i.e. 1 doz wings over $20.. the nachos are big enough to share and if you like to add anything, just ask. The beer battered shrimp are great and the not to spicy sauce is complementing them nicely. Nice beer selection, easy parking if you are early enough.

Excellent menu, great tasting food, but get an early reservation. The adjacent field serves as overflow for the sparce parking area near the hotel.
The hotel is famous for heaping plates of French Fries and is well-known in the Harrisburg area even though it's quite a long ride into the "boonies".

Carsonville Hotel has always been a terrific down home casual dining our drinking establishment for many many years. We have enjoyed their steaks, burgers, clams, crab cakes, and other menu items with many different friends and together. Highly recommend them to anyone.

The service was really good and we went there to go try the fries because we were told about it they had a good selection of different yuengling beers there so we could try those. Yeah atmosphere was well as well It was one of the best experiences for customer services at a restaurant

Haven't been there in years..... just as good as I remember..... and a KILLER 2hr backroad ride to get there.... only weird issue.... no prices on the menu... but wings to die for.....

Loved this place! Great food and atmosphere in the middle of the mountains. Amazing french fries. Great customer service! Nice patio and deck. Games outside and bar on the deck.

I love this place. It's a nice motorcycle ride from Harrisburg, especially in the fall. The food is always good, the people always friendly as well S the service.

This place had a great feel to it. Homey and friendly. Good food. We will be returning.

I had the perfectly cooked Carsonville cheeseburger and fries, she had the fried clam basket. This was our first time there, and found both the food and the service excellent for a busy Friday night! You won't walk away hungry! We'll be back!!

It was my first time there was on a date the food was absolutely wonderful and the wait staff was absolutely wonderful and very good will definitely go back there again.

Haven't been here in over 20 years, so we stopped in for dinner while in the area. A lot has changed. 20 years ago, I recall picking a steak off of a list of available oz. Now, there's a beautiful outdoor area to sit, umbrella covered tables, a nice outdoor bar, there was live music, and the wait staff was super friendly and helpful. There was no one inside, so I'm curious what they do in the winter time...may have to go and find out. The surrounding area scenery is beautiful also.

Today was the third time I visited the Carsonville hotel. The first two times we had amazing service. Today the food was delicious as always. We had a reservation for 7, and we were seated at a long picnic table with no umbrella, in full sun. We did ask right away if we could have a different table. Our server said no. I was under the impression that there were no other tables available because of reservations, but the tables we asked to switch to were never filled. After 40 minutes or so of sitting in the blistering sun while those tables remained empty, my sister asked again if we could please sit somewhere else. Because there was no way we could enjoy ourselves or our food this way. The server was clearly annoyed, but at that point she let us move to a table that was in half sun half shade, which was much better for half our party at least. Another couple came in and sat themselves at a shady long table that would have fit us. I heard the server ask them if they had a reservation and they said no but were still allowed to use the table. There were also many other shady tables that were not filled for the hour and a half that we were there that easily could have been pushed together. I'm not sure why we had to sit in the sun long enough for me to get a sunburn, but it was odd that with all the other tables free, they chose to sit us there in the first place. It would make more sense to fill that table last, if needed.
I guess next time we make a reservation we should request a shady spot over the phone?

All the food and service was A+ excellent, feels like you can't go wrong. Comfortable and fun atmosphere. Games to play and amusing signs all over. There are some very interesting and creative drinks and a lot of personality in everything.
