Lovely trail in all seasons. You could walk the same part of the trail in every season and not get bored, until you've seen everything, and then go to another part of the trail and start that process all over again. It's also great to just sit by the creek and forget about time. Depending on how far you walk, you'll have to cross the road at least once. Make sure you stick to the paved trail though, cuz most (if not all) of the un-paved paths are either to hunting spots, or lead to people's houses.

Very nice long trail. You may have to cross the road a few times if you walk the whole thing and parking is a little inconvenient. The trail is really beautiful though and the path is paved well.

This trail offers a safe place for people to enjoy a stroll along the creek. Family and pet friendly. Drop stations to ensure pet waste is disposed of properly. Ample space for walkers, joggers and bikers to get your exercise on while enjoying the sounds and beauty of nature. Paved from beginning to end with mile markers. Several parking spots at various points of the trail. Benches are available if you need a break. Even has a bike repair station. Air pump not working during my visit, but still very thoughtful for trail makers to put up.

It is a very beautiful trail to ride a bike. The only thing that could make it better is if the trail was longer.

This is a great addition to this areas running, walking and biking community. I ran it for the first time today and it is a beautiful run at almost 2.75 miles in length (Map My Run listed my run at 5.51 miles total). It has many ups and downs and sraightaways, but from Knowlton road it is more uphill and then more down hill coming back of course. There are four actual road crossings, so keep your eyes open and a good portion of the trail is open to the sun. I look forward to running the trail again when in town visiting.

Flat, clean, scenic dog and family trail perfect for walking, running or biking. Parking is free but limited. If you get a spot it's worth checking out.

This was my FAVORITE trail to run/jog/walk while I lived in the area. It offers scenic views and you get to see mountains, big rocks, waterbody, baseball field, busy road, private houses, tall trees, and many more! It’s paved and it has inclines and bridges! It’s beautiful every season and it is very well maintained all year long so you can actually utilize it whenever you’re in the mood. Everyone I encountered here were super pleasant and always gave way without hesitation or wasting a second.

I truly miss this trail! It holds a special place in my heart because I trained as a runner here- I literally went from doing 1.5mile to completing the entire ~2.6mile 2 laps back to back without stopping.

I HIGHLY recommend visiting the trail at least once.

Super, well maintained trail. Flat enough for our older folks but a good run, walk or bike workout can be had. 3.3 miles one way.

Fun and easy paved trail to hike. It crosses a few roads with car traffic so make sure you cross carefully. The pedestrian crossings are well marked for motorists to see. The trail is mostly flat with very gradual inclines. Great for strollers, bikers, joggers, or walkers. You can get some really nice views of Chester Creek and PA-452 from the old train bridge. Great for families and walking dogs.

This is a beautiful parking arena with all the good loving nature for all your family and friends to enjoy. The rivers sing sweet tunes for each step you take along the trails on trails of scenic scenery. They also host a farmers market not far from here that further highlights all the wonderful wildness and great outdoors that make this park great.

Map my ride says the trail was 2.8 mi. it may be 3 mi. in length because that app on my phone under reports distance. It is paved wide and where it crosses a road it is well marked for the cars to know bikes, pedestrians etc. are likely to cross. The hills are gentle but steep enough to be fun for bicycling and short enough to not exhaust me to get to the top. It is mostly shady and beautiful. I only wish it was 13 miles longer.

Need a pick me up ? Nice place for a walk, jog, quick little bike ride. Remember medically proven exercise makes serotonin so if your feeling down or just want a Zen moment this trail leads to a pretty water seen so if you have a moment its a nice 3 mile trail 6 miles round trip. Enjoy!

This is a great trail with beautiful scenery and wildlife year-round; it's not uncommon to see deer or an occasional fox, even a bald eagle from time to time. There are even a few remaining vestiges of the trail's railroad heritage if you look carefully. The trail has sturdy benches along its length and trash cans with dog waste bag dispensers at all three road crossings and each end of the trail, but there are no public restroom facilities. The road crossings are well-defined and clearly marked for both trail users and motorists. The trail connects to the more rugged and unpaved Linvill Trail via the (very short) Starch Mill Trail located at the first bench past the Knowlton Road overpass. There is no dedicated lighting on the trail; carrying a light may be helpful if you are still on the trail after sundown. Walking the length of the Chester Creek Trail will take anywhere from 2-3 hours depending on your pace, but it is safe, scenic and very enjoyable.

This is my favorite place to run. Beautiful during all seasons. It is a pleasant trail although it can be tough to find parking sometimes. The portion of the trail that goes over Pennell Road and Chester Creek provides a relieving cool breeze mid run.

We loved it but we only went down 2.5miles because of our son but it's a good distance to exercise or clear your head. I'm glad I found one close to home, that's my new go to spot for walk/jogging.
